Ok, out of all of the things that got me thinking about this it was Shadow the Hedgehog on the PS2.  In that game in the main campaign, even though the main character was shadow, you could still pick up the second controller and play the character next to shadow if there was one. I'm thinking the same kind of thing could happen with KHIII. The second and third controllers could play the party members if you wanted to do co-op, if you just wanted to do single player, the AI would fight.

I can see that happening in kh3 if SE decides not to let Sora be alone all the time or something like that.

Yeah uh if I play as Donald I will not heal you...

When there wasn't party member/s, player one would be the only one playing. In Shadow the Hedgehog, you didn't choose co-op mode. Just if someone wanted to play instead of the party members AI they could.

Oh I see. I can see that happening, but it has to fit with the story in kh3. You can't just let somebody play as Riku if he is supposed to be in a realm of darkness.

Thing is Co-Op didn't work very well in Shadow. In fact ALOT of things didn't work in Shadow :P. But in terms of main game of KH3 it could work but I'd rather it be a seperate multiplayer/co op from the main game rather than implementing it in the main game.

That's what I'm saying. If there is a party member the other controllers could play as them if they wanted. If not only player one would.

A good idea, but as always, our ideas and Nomura's ideas never match.

I can see this happening in kingdom hearts 3, whenever a keyblade wielder joins Sora's team a second player will be able to play and if another person joins Sora's team a third player will be able to play as that character. If co-op multiplayer is in kh3 i'm hoping that the game will have at least four player co-op.

What he said.

I doubt it. It's a single-player game.

I'm not talking about just Keyblade Wielders, I'm talking about any party members.

Okay then. I can see somebody playing as Donald and Goofy. It would actually cool if somebody is playing as Donald and you ask them to heal you and they do it. That would get rid of the double healing thing in kh1 and 2.

That might be cool, but it would have to be split screen, and many people aren't a fan of that.

You're not understanding what I'm saying. I don't think anyone is. In the main story people could connect controllers and take control of donald and goofy. Not a multiplayer mode, just an alternative to playing by yourself with the party AI.

No i get it, you're talking about a multiplayer like how LEGO games or Epic Mickey 2 works.

Yes.

Hmm.....how much you wanna bet that we're going to get stuck with Sora the entire time, and the other characters are going to be elsewhere during the game's entirety? It seems Lea has had his own personal agenda from the get-go, and Kairi is probably going to stay with Yen Sid and the fairies for half the game. The only person I can see us playing as is Riku, but even then, that's a huge maybe.

Donald and Goofy will probably fight weak..

You will still be able to play other characters.

Hopefully. I doubt they will program new control schemes for characters like Donald and Goofy, but they might make a few other Keyblade wielders playable. It seems like Riku and Mickey will be separated from Sora and co. but someone else like Roxas or Ventus could be a second character.

I wouldnt want co-op in the story because it would make the game VERY easy that for sure. But having online mutliplayer and online pvp would be amazing. Maybe you can revisit the worlds as sora and with a friend to fight the left over heartless? idk

If we're gonna play as Ventus/Aqua/Kairi/Lea... Why not? It could be a good idea to have co-op in that case.

I rather have a multiplayer mode like the mirage arena or something like it but better!
