Pokkén Tournament has been announced for arcades, releasing 2015.

I'm kind of okay with this but I wanted something better. I'll try it out once it comes to the USA on consoles but I probably wont play it as much.

Pretty obvious what most want for years now. (2 games I can think of)Although I can't fully blame GameFreak since it's mostly Namco doing this.

It's basically a fighting game developed by Bandai Namco with a Pokemon skin.

 

I'm not much of a Tekken or Soul Calibur player but here's hoping for a Wii U release after it hits Arcades.

Really it looks like a 2.5d fighter rather then the usual 3d affairs of Namco actually.

Of course, no one said it was just going to be pure fighting types, but these Pokemon are fit for this game.

Most expect a stadium/colosseum game for the console. I'm more of "awaiting" the day Pokemon announces one.The other thing people expect is Pokemon Snap. (Not into it but this one I expected )

To be honest another StadiumColosseum game(which btw follows the same formula as the main games in terms of battles) isn't what I call better

 

Besides if you look at it from a competitive perspective Pokken Fighters makes a lot of sense

 

They can feature it as a third tournament in both Official NationalsWorlds Pokemon tournament alongside VGC and TCG and it also can be featured in EVO

 

It has waaaay more appeal than just another Stadium game,both fans of Pokemon and the fighting game genre can get into Pokken Fighters rather than having it just strictly in RPGs

Much rather duke it out on Smash Bros. And there's a competitive side to it. I just await when SSB4 hits official tournaments, or something close to Melee ones.I don't mind spin-offs, but seriously there's been some that fans find meh. Heck even Mystery Dumgeon isn't appealed by much I meet whenever I go to Pokemon events, and I love the spin-off. (Besides infinity)I wouldn't mind if we had at least one stadium, but it's been since pre-gen 4 we don't get one. Whenever I hear "shocking new announcement," I never get my hopes up. All I think of is "gee, much excitement!" (sarcastically lol)

Well I'm personally a huge Tekken fan and will pick both Tekken 7(on my brother's Xbox One) and Pokken Fighters

 

And aside from my personal taste,both Pokemon and Tekken are popular heck Tekken is one of the best selling Fighting game franchises and since Nintendo and Namco worked together on Smash Bros this collaberation makes sense and I doubt they'll fail at making the game entertaining
