Pokkén Tournament has been announced for arcades, releasing 2015.

It's basically a fighting game developed by Bandai Namco with a Pokemon skin.

 

I'm not much of a Tekken or Soul Calibur player but here's hoping for a Wii U release after it hits Arcades.

It's not uncommon for fighting games such a Street Fighter and Tekken to hit Japanese Arcades before their eventual console releases even today. Give it time I'm sure a Wii U release is pretty much a given.

 

For example, Street Fighter IV came out in 2008 in Arcades but 2009 on console and Tekken 6 came out in 2007 in Arcades but 2009 on console. It's just a thing they do in Japan.

Am I the only one who's disappointed they only showed Lucario and Machamp, and it was mostly Lucario beating the crap out of Machamp? I think that they've been pulling the Lucario card a bit too much, honestly. I would have liked to see Blaziken and some other Pokemon.

Blaziken has a Mega Evolution, and it wasn't shown aside from that two second teaser last year.

It looks like a pretty solid fighting game.

Blaziken's one of my favorite Pokemon, I'd really like to see it in action. Guess we'll have to wait until the next trailer.

 

Also, I didn't think about this until just now. How are Mega Evolutions going to work? I'm guessing they're going to be separate characters, since giving a few Pokemon a power boost mid-battle would really unbalance the game.

You shouldn't be surprised. This has been a trend ever since gen 4 debuted Lucario. It's almost on par with a certain fire lizard and friends.

I'm not surprised, just disappointed that the Lucario card is being pulled once again. Game Freak treats it like it's a legendary Pokemon or something, and I guess Namco wanted in on that now.

Nope, we've just seen a few characters and know the release date. Hopefully we'll get more information soon.

This isn't an RPG like Pokemon Stadium,this is a fighting game in the same style as Namco's Tekken and Soul Calibur....hence why it's being made by Namco

All I said was you could take it up with mine, cause clearly you don't know what a Lucario can really do until you see a Lucario like mine. I never said I wanted you to die a painful death, because I don't. And after my youngest cousin dieing here two weeks ago, I would never tell anyone to die and mean it. Uhm they've always played the Lucario card since Gen 4. lol That's not new at all; they've always catered to Lucario, and you can't fault them for using the biggest thing they have outside of Pikachu as a mascot.Anyway, 3D fighters never interest me outside of Smash Bros, so you nerds can all enjoy this I guess.
