Posted October 8, 201411 yr Man, I gotta appreciate Everglow for posting the new OST, the new OST sounds excellent Just listen to some of these: (All in spoilers of course) http://youtu.be/1iqkaaHAEbU MY GOD This version is way better than the original Kingdom Hearts II one. Finnaly you can sense the right timing of the song http://youtu.be/2VsbLYMH5_A Another song that had its rythm finnaly done right http://youtu.be/TAwK5QPwQLw When you listen to that piano's low key... This version is really great http://youtu.be/-Szh72BXq70 Just... THAT FREAKING AWESOME VIOLIN And last, but not least, in my opinion, the best remastered OST: http://youtu.be/JsZ5OZXDPFc Now Kingdom Hearts II's The Encounter was great, no doubt about that. Then Birth By Sleep's The Encounter appeared, and holy damn that was good. Topping that would be a heck of an achievment. But they did it It's that good, at least in my opinion What do you think about the OST so far?
October 8, 201411 yr their make me cry and think "i want it!!!! " the OST are the only "spoiler" i choose to see regard KH2.5
October 8, 201411 yr He's a Pirate, has improved a lot from it's older version and it really has that potential of excitement on it.Old Friends, Old Rivals, was a lot similar to the older version but the clearness of instruments and the flute on it made it more unique. The 13th Reflection, No sorry, I like how the violin is showing its rule clearly on this version but the part in 1:06 was more powerful and exciting on the older version.Scherzo Di Notte, not bad but I didn't like how the violin ruled over the piano comparing it to the old version. The Encounter, not bad I like how they show the violin in some parts and then they give space to others. I really liked some of the new orchestrated soundtracks but there were also a lot of them that disappointed me. I do appreciate that they tried their best to reach to a similar soundtrack to the previous one and also improving it, and I do understand that they are trying their best to make the instruments clear to our ears but this clearness leaves a lot of emptiness on the soundtrack to a level where you just feel that there is a lack of instruments on some of them. Unlike the old version, which has a lot of instruments and sounds filling your ears with awesome combination of instruments that you would just want to sit and repeat the soundtrack to guess the number of instruments that were used on it. I am not trying to be harsh or turning like IGN, it's just my opinion so sorry if it was harsh for you ^^' Edited October 8, 201411 yr by Master Keeper
October 8, 201411 yr In my opinion, these tracks is the one that improved the most!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7EpSTnwQXM&index=36&list=UUUrxTJ6v1Z2UOH-KIHRQ-xw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrIlKkMkHBU&index=43&list=UUUrxTJ6v1Z2UOH-KIHRQ-xw
October 8, 201411 yr The new soundtrack kind of ruins it for me. Their nice remixes and I appreciate the effort but, if it's not the exact same song as I listened to back when I first played it, it won't give me nostalgia.
October 11, 201411 yr It's all orchestrated so what I think of it should be obvious. Especially with He's A Pirate sounding so much like the original from Pirates of the Caribbean. The new soundtrack kind of ruins it for me. Their nice remixes and I appreciate the effort but, if it's not the exact same song as I listened to back when I first played it, it won't give me nostalgia. They are not remixes. They are orchestrated. I'm sure you know that.
October 11, 201411 yr They are not remixes. They are orchestrated. I'm sure you know that. Remixes, orchestrated, whatever, I wasn't sure what to call them. Anyways, the point is that they're different version. They sound different from the original. I'm not to fond of that.
October 11, 201411 yr Remixes, orchestrated, whatever, I wasn't sure what to call them. Anyways, the point is that they're different version. They sound different from the original. I'm not to fond of that. They sound different because real instruments are being used, as opposed to artificial ones, so they will sound heaps better.
October 11, 201411 yr They sound different because real instruments are being used, as opposed to artificial ones, so they will sound heaps better. It's not only that they use real instruments, they've added and removed some here and there. But that's not the point. I get a nostalgic feeling from hearing the original version of a song. If you have an old song recorded on a LP record with shit quality and I listen to that everyday, then one day I get as a birthday present the same song re-released but with better recorded sounds. That version will do nothing for me. The old shitty quality version of the song is what will give me lots of memories. I agree many of the re-orchestrations sound better (and a few just got worse), I appreciate the effort but they don't appeal to me.
