Sorual 607 Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) http://nintendonews.com/2014/10/disagree-wii-u-eula-lock-out/ i think that this is stupid of nintendo. i love nintendo but i dont think that this is a great idea. i think its a horrible idea. if i buy a console, id like to play it even if i dont agree with the companies philosophy. of course i have no problem with the EULA so i will be ok, but i can understand why people dont like this. nintendo, your awesome, but i dont think that this was necessary. im not really mad, but i can clearly understand why others are mad and do think its justified. i miss when consoles just played games. your thoughts? Javelin434 3,164 Posted October 17, 2014 Who the hell read the EULA anyways? I mean srsly... You can admit to a mass genocide that makes Hitler look like a freaking wannabe and no one will ever know. 1 Hero of Winds reacted to this

You can admit to a mass genocide that makes Hitler look like a freaking wannabe and no one will ever know. i heard that there was a company that allowed an experiment to see how many people read the eula. they hid a 3000 dollar prize in the eula (somehow) and after like 300 downloads of the program, someone finally claimed it. i was actually surprized. i just thought id mention that. MasterRoxas13 340 Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) Honestly it really isn't a big deal to me ( if I had a Wii U), I don't agree with paying for Xbox live but I do anyways. Edited October 17, 2014 by MasterRoxas13
Jilly Shears 2,144 Posted October 18, 2014 I don't think it's that big of a deal. It's Nintendo's console, and they're giving you the license of using their services. Of course you should agree to the terms of use they lay out for you.
Reflet 201 Posted October 18, 2014 I always accept anyways...

Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted October 18, 2014 I dun see a problem. I mean..no one really reads it and they just head straight for the accept button every time. I didn't even notice it was that way when I updated just because I always hit the accept button and look at nothing else.
hatok 6,413 Posted October 18, 2014 It's the End USER License Agreement if you want to use their product, you need to agree to the legal stuff involved in it 1 Jilly Shears reacted to this
Sorual 607 Posted October 18, 2014 It's the End USER License Agreement if you want to use their product, you need to agree to the legal stuff involved in it i understand that, but it must be troublesome if you already bought a wii u before, and now you have to agree to this new agree ment or your 300 goes down the drain. but again, i guess i can understand your point. its been that way for software for all these years. i guess we were just spoiled by the lack of this stuff when the technology wasent good enough to have it (generation 1-6)

Sorual 607 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) uh you don't lose your money you're locked out until you agree to the EULA if you don't wan to agree to it... return it you could argue that you cant return it because the warrenty or something. like that guy in the video in the article. but im just finding excuses here. i guess the reason people are mostly upset about this is i guess i can understand your point. its been that way for software for all these years. i guess we were just spoiled by the lack of this stuff when the technology wasent good enough to have it (generation 1-6) Edited October 18, 2014 by Sorual

atheist123 583 Posted October 18, 2014 Eula is two letters away from being Ebola... This seems like a slippery slope to me, soon Nintendo will be forcing Ebola onto Wii U users. Obviously Nintendo is the Antichrist,
