Guys, GUYS! I -I just saw a trailer for FFXV, with OFFICIAL ENGLISH VOICEWORK!

Dat' gruff voice Gladio has, just PERFECT!

And that last line "It's been a long time, too long. Not much longer."

I know I'm totally grasping at straws here but I really, really, really want to believe that they but that they chose to end the trailer on that line as a hint...

Absolutely LOVE the the voicework for Prompto. I just hope they take time to match mouth movements with the words they are actually saying. For Gladioulus and Ignis, I guess there is nothing wrong. At some points they sounded off, but other times really good. Didn't even know Ignis was british until halfway through the video. I'm sure I'll get use to these guys though.Noctis... how old is this guy again? I don't know, I was imagining like 17, 18, 19, or something in that ball park. He sounds so old! It's not even bad voicework, it's just the wrong age. I'll hold judgement until the final product, but I don't know...

god that was awful.

I will say that I approve of Noctis's voice. It has a level of toughness that actually makes me want to take him seriously.

I REALLY like Prompto's va it's perfect but Noctis sounds like he's Batman and like he's in his twenties or something. I'm assuming he's like 18 or 19? It just hasn't sold me yet but hey this is just a voice over trailer so I'm hoping it comes out better.

You know what, the more I listen to Noctis' voice, the more I like it.

Is that the same guy who voices Sasuke?

COINCIDENCE?! I think not.

It's not Yuri.

That's Balthier's voice actor!

"How Much Longer?"

xD

Is there a 60 FPS version?

My god, I already watched it 13 times and the voices grew on me.

The voices sound more cliche than I was expecting

I was expecting something a bit more grounded, what with the whole "This is a fantasy based on reality" thing

But they went the route where you can tell each character's defining trait by their voice, like cartoon characters

It was never based on reality. Their hair defies all laws of physics.

Okay, I know this will go to "You hate the new Final Fantasy games you're just bashing them because you'll blindly do that to any new Square games," but...

As someone who will typically defend English voiceovers that are even considered horrible by most people, these voices are just... Bad. Like, really bad. If I do get this game by the time that used copies go for like $20-$30, I hope that they'll have an option for the Japanese voices. That's something I've never even said before. The only reason I'd keep the English voices on is to laugh at the lines. And I'm not even looking at it through the lens of a FF game, just the voice work in general.

The blonde Demyx looking f*cker ruined it for me. God damn. X_X

"WHOOOOOOA LOOK AT THAT THING. IT'S HUUUUUUUGE" I knew what was to come as soon as I heard that one line.
