...so, guys, remember the final scene of KH3D's opening, when everybody is at the Keyblade Graveyard (at night), ready to battle Xehanort? And then Sora is just about to gather energy/power, as he was about to do something? OK, here's where problems/doubts start. On the "heroes" side, we saw: Sora, Riku, Roxas, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Terra, Ventus and Aqua, a total of 9 beings.

 

1) Wasn't the final battle supposed to be: 7 lights vs 13 darknesses? So, why are there 9 lights (unless some people of the "heroes" side might be disguising themselves as members of the darknesses... :ohmy: )? What are Donald and Goofy even doing there?

2) Where's Lea, Kairi and/or Xion in the team?

3) Since Roxas might be already a separate person from Sora by now (now=that moment in the cutscene) (and thus, he has HIS OWN HEART), doesn't Nobodies still resemble the person they were originated from (and besides, since Ventus is already awaken, his heart no longer needs Sora's to "recover", right?)? Roxas resembled Ventus because the latter's heart was merged with Sora's, and since Ventus's heart is back to his original owner, shouldn't Roxas resemble Sora by now?

 

4) After Sora releases that "energy beam" (from his Keyblade) up ahead, Roxas, Terra, Ventus and Aqua (re)become "pages" (of a book) and disappear, leaving only those 5 heroes (strangely for Donald and Goofy, even though they came from "pages" of a book, too, they don't return to their "pages") . Any idea what happened to them (this same thing happened when the king tried to attack the old coot before)?

You are WWWWWAAAAAAYYYYYY over thinking this. It wasn't anything major to the plot but shows that Xehanort is the bad guy and he is going to be force to battle the good guys. It wasn't anything major to KH3 or anything. Just like how KH1's opening had nothing major to the story to it either.

1) I doubt they will refrain from using everyone they can because the rule for creating the X-blade (which they don't want to create in the first place) is to fight 7 against 13.

 

2) Lea and Kairi weren't even supposed to be one of the lights at the start of DDD. Showing them in the opening would spoil too much about the ending and secret ending of the game.

 

3) Well you said it, he has his own heart, which was made while he was looking like Ven so why would he change into anyone in the first place if he has his own heart now.

 

4) I guess it has something to do with the journal and everyone hurting. Since Sora hasn't saved anyone yet it probably shows that they still hurt.

 First of all, Donald and Goofy aren't part of the 7 lights, but they will fight because....well, they are longtime partners Donald and Goofy. Second, the characters that appear there don't represent all the characters that will fight. They didn't include Kairi so we were surprised at the secret ending when she starts training, neither Lea because at that time we didn't even know he was revived. As for me, i believe Ventus and Roxas will be united as one being, so Roxas there alongside Ventus also doesn't make sense. Don't think too much 

 

Second, they scatter into pages because besides Sora, Riku, Mickey, Donald and Goofy, the other characters are not yet with the team, they are lost, dissapeared, controlled, etc, and it represent how those characters will fight with us, but for yet, those 5 are alone

I can just tell you the books are a reference to the Book of Prophecies from KH CHI.

-Ven and Sora's hearts weren't merged- they were two separate hearts in his body just connected per se.

 

 

-Roxas's new heart was built on the memory and experiences of people viewing him as looking like Ven so his newly grown heart will prolly resemble as people saw him. Roxas is his OWN SEPARATE being different from Ven though.He didn't have Ven's memories or personality or Sora's .He only had his own to go by and his newly grown separate heart will reflect that.
