So we all know TN Will so something to blow our minds in KH3 for sure but I did some thinking. My theory is, what if Sora has been a Heartless all this time? I mean think about it, ever since he gave his heart up in Hollow Bastion he could have never FULLY recovered. Maybe that could explain why Roxas still existed while Sora was alive. Also that could've made it easier for Namine to temper with his heart in COM. And thinking back to DDD being a heartless could've made it why he was such an easy target for Xehanort. Sure his heart is still partially devoid of darkness and he still FEELS. But maybe he's never been a full human since he returned from being a Shadow.

Kairi purified him when he was a shadow but gave him "human form" as basically a "walking heart". He was a walking heart until he was reunited with Roxas in KH2 .Once they were merged he was no longer a walking heart.

The Heartless can't think, feel, and certainly wouldn't be able to use the keyblade, so I don't think Sora can be a Heartless incognito.

In Ansem's Reports of kh2, it was established that Sora was actually a Heartless after he became one (so, during End of the World, Chains of memories) until Roxas merged with him at the end of the 6th day. He kept a physical form because Kairi, as a princess of heart, could give him one when she hugged him

Not really Ansem was able to retain his sense of self only because like Sora Apprentice Xehanort willingly turned himself into a Heartless.

It's been none for years now that Sora was a Heartless during the end of KH1 and during CoM.

He wasn't a Heartless, a Heartless is a heart consumed by darkness, he was just a heart without a real body, basically an heart inside a makeshift body until he and Roxas fused together at the beginning of KH2.
