January 23, 201510 yr Holy moly... Oh, btw, for anyone who wonders why there are so many iOS games, that market is HUGE in Japan, and Squeenix wanted to jump inside that bandwagon to make quick cash.
January 23, 201510 yr Author Holy moly... Oh, btw, for anyone who wonders why there are so many iOS games, that market is HUGE in Japan, and Squeenix wanted to jump inside that bandwagon to make quick cash. And that they do. They're cheap to make, and easy to make. And you can make one billion yen in one month off one.
January 23, 201510 yr And that they do. They're cheap to make, and easy to make. And you can make one billion yen in one month off one. ONLY if they're good. It's REALLY hard to find good iOS games when they are buried under a bunch of garbage.
January 23, 201510 yr Author ONLY if they're good. It's REALLY hard to find good iOS games when they are buried under a bunch of garbage. Most of them have been quite good from Square Enix.
January 23, 201510 yr Most of them have been quite good from Square Enix. For iOS games, sure. That's not really saying much, though.
January 23, 201510 yr Author For iOS games, sure. That's not really saying much, though. That's why they're getting ported to Vita.
January 23, 201510 yr That's why they're getting ported to Vita. Yup. Gotta make extra cash in between to make bigger and better games for better consoles (and to pay their employees...), and I think that's what it's all about.
January 23, 201510 yr Author Yup. Gotta make extra cash in between to make bigger and better games for better consoles (and to pay their employees...), and I think that's what it's all about. Ummm, you do know who is in charge of division 9 aka it's first mobile division? Takashi Tokita.
January 23, 201510 yr Ummm, you do know who is in charge of division 9 aka it's first mobile division? Takashi Tokita. Oh. Nevermind.
January 23, 201510 yr Ummm, you do know who is in charge of division 9 aka it's first mobile division? Takashi Tokita. Oh. Nevermind. I don't get it...
January 23, 201510 yr Eh. Just gonna be getting Type-0 and Heavansward. Nothing else interests me as it is literally nothing but ports or mobile titles. I'm vaguely interested in Explorers, but not enough to care for it at this point in time.

I like ports and all, but enough is enough. Edited January 23, 201510 yr by soravids
January 23, 201510 yr And where's the FFIX PC port? I'd prefer that rather than FFV or VI to be honest.
January 24, 201510 yr Author And where's the FFIX PC port? I'd prefer that rather than FFV or VI to be honest. That's up to division 8. The PC ports of V and VI are from division 9. Too bad most of those are only ports.... I like ports and all, but enough is enough. And yet you'll get excited for any PS4 ports. I don't get it... Look at his list of credits. Think Final Fantasy IV. Chrono Trigger. Parasite Eve. List goes on...
January 24, 201510 yr Damn, Square sure has their work cut out for them this year! Let's hope they meet this year with much success!
January 24, 201510 yr That's up to division 8. The PC ports of V and VI are from division 9. And yet you'll get excited for any PS4 ports. Look at his list of credits. Think Final Fantasy IV. Chrono Trigger. Parasite Eve. List goes on... Yeah but what does that mean? That he will make AAA quality mobile games?
January 24, 201510 yr Author Yeah but what does that mean? That he will make AAA quality mobile games? It just means you've got a very talented person in charge of the first mobile division and it shows in their work.
January 24, 201510 yr It just means you've got a very talented person in charge of the first mobile division and it shows in their work. Meh, it's still mobile though.
January 24, 201510 yr Author Meh, it's still mobile though. Wait till you see division 1's game then.
January 24, 201510 yr Wait till you see division 1's game then. Oh yeah, hoping they will announce it at E3.
January 24, 201510 yr Author Oh yeah, hoping they will announce it at E3. They've already announced one of their two projects. The other one directed by Toriyama will be announced sometime this year. http://www.jp.square-enix.com/MEVIUSFF/en/index.html
January 24, 201510 yr They've already announced one of their two projects. The other one directed by Toriyama will be announced sometime this year. http://www.jp.square-enix.com/MEVIUSFF/en/index.html Oh... Well yeah I was talking about Toriyama's project. I already dismissed mevius from the start since it's mobile and all. Not because I think the quality won't be good, but because I don't intend to play mobile games, same way I don't intend to play handheld games anytime soon.
January 24, 201510 yr That's up to division 8. The PC ports of V and VI are from division 9. And yet you'll get excited for any PS4 ports. Look at his list of credits. Think Final Fantasy IV. Chrono Trigger. Parasite Eve. List goes on... True, but not as much so as a new AAA title.
