The words ring in your mind as you come to. Everything is white. Everything is so white. White skyscrapers surround you and close you in. There is no shadow, only the dim gray outline of the buildings and streets to keep the blank whiteness from consuming all you see. There is no sun, and there is no sky. The words you heard... it was a woman's voice that spoke them. She sounded... compassionate, but far off. So far off. The streets around you extend in a criss-cross in every direction. This seems to be setup like any city you've ever known, but somehow it seems so very different. After the blinding light of all the pure white, though, you notice them. The people around you. They have color to them; their clothes, their hair, their eyes. It is a welcome sight. They seem to all be coming to now as well...

 

In one spot, under the overhang of what may have been a sandwich shop were this any normal city, in the district known as Haven, six people awoke: Reverie Oscuro (Hazimie), Wlynn Cellus (Firo Procheniezio), Liath Smith (Captain Arrowguns), Jason Carmichael (Javelin), Sora Takagi (Oathkeeper) and Kristy Yauser (Ultimus Grid)

 

Elsewhere, next to one of the tallest towers in the area, in the district known as Crest were five more people who had just regained consciousness: Laciann Pascual (Tatsumi), Alysa Mors (Mine), Asher Sterban (Neko-chan), Aro (Silver Kuroi) and Tristan Cane (Joemahon) .

 

Finally, the third group, awakening in an intersection flanked on all four corners by great towering building, numbering six, also heard the voice and woke to the sight of the City. They were Ailder Rosewal (Riki), Natasa Devin (The Narrator), Maxwell Crad (Scrapmaster), Yuki (Kingdomhearts), Jordan Locke (rikunobodyxiii), and Le Chef (Dave).

 

As they all awoke, the voice came once more.

 

Learn your new comrades names and come to know them as people.

 

Very soon the City shall fight against you for the first of many times....

"Is it the A and the H?" Shade asked and nodded. "Yes,we do I can make walls,but I'm not any good at it." She looked back at him. "Anyway,we need to walk and talk. You can pick where and after.....we need a team name!" She cheered. "We have only to place we can go,I think. " She added. She took a step closer to him. "Khan Kahn,sounds like a cool name I'll call you that!"She smiled.

"How ever did you guess?" He asked sarcastically, cracking his neck a little to loosen up a little. "Walls? Hmm....how did you discover this power? So I can discover mine?" He asked her with a veneer of politeness. "A Team Name? There are two of us, we need more people, realistically, but this "Voice of God" is clearly some kind of Insane Sadist and separated us all. Q, was it?!" He said, shouting the last part to the skies.

Maxwell smirked as the dolls stopped coming, and only a few were left, problem was, by the time the horde was done, the countdown dropped to zero, which made him frown as the old woman's voice announced the liftoff "Grea-" thud was heard as Maxwell ended up headfirst into a stair due to the impulse of the rocket, "grr" he grunted as he noticed the pressure and the gravity were high as all hell, and the others would have trouble with it.

 

He quickly started charging electricity, in which he supercharged himself, making his body charge with electricity, gave it a strong resistance to gravity, after all gravity is affected only minimaly by gravity, he managed to stand normally as he looked at the others and then at the door at the end of the stairs, the dolls falling from the stairs, but some were just sitting there unable to move, he simply walked over to them and finished them off with his sword, "Electricity isn't affected by gravity, i'l see what I can do" he said as he walked over to the door.

"Crap, crap, crap, crap...." Yuki said before the gravity amplified and was heading for the ground. "CRAAAAP!" Although Yuki managed to grab the edge of the stairs and held it tight! "Grab on to something! QUICKLY!" Yuki yelled. He noticed that the last couple of Dolls were falling, so he took this chance to take one hand and perform a Sun Kamehameha to destroy some of them.

"Here goes.....Ka...Me...Ha...Me...H-AHHHH!" A sudden jerk on the ship caused Yuki to let go of the edge and almost miss the shot! But only a few got hit and grazed. But Yuki was falling down the ground. The gravity was too much for him to fly back up. Unless....

"I've got no other choice! It's time...To go Super Saiyan! HAAAAAH!" Yuki's hair went yellow and his eyes had gone blue and using the Sun Jets, he blasted up to the near edge to at least the second to highest point of the stairs. He held on with all his might for he wasn't completely invincible to gravity.

"Grr....Max! Lend me a hand, will ya?...Pal?" He strained to say. If his fingers started to lose grip, he would have to use his teeth at the next option...

"I think it's driven by emotions. Fear,love,hate,pain,I guess it depends. I just put all my thought into my power and then it just happens. But this Q person hasn't hurt me,it's just a voice, Q only gives info as needed. It's something else that is controlling,Q is a mere guide."She sighed. "And yelling isn't a nice was to call her out. Ladies,even Goddess like voices,want respect."She reminded him.

"I don't like her already...something, just irks me about this female voice. She is no Goddess and holds no power over me!" He spouted with some anger in his voice, causing a light green aura to cover him. He looks at his hands in surprise, but then smiles, feeling the power run through him. "Emotions....they power me. Then, if I look hard enough within myself....." He says, closing his eyes and concentrating....then soon enough, in his right hand: Shao Kahn's Wrath Hammer materialized in a flash of Green Mist and metal sounds. "Perfect." He utters, then de-summoning the Hammer, looking to Shade. "Forgive me if I am being discourteous. Surely, you understand the...shock that comes with being in a new world. It does "wonders" for your temper." Khan speaks to Shade in a softer tone than usual.

"This will sting...a lot" Maxwell said as he grabbed yuki's hand, electrocuting him, disabling the gravity's effect on Yuki the longer he held onto Maxwell's hand, dragging him to the top of the stairs he left Yuki laying down, "Can't exactly help you without electrocuting you, gravity doesn't affect electricity all that well, and I can't exactly enhance you guys with it..." he said frowning as he looked at the door... and at the others as he pondered on how he'd help them.

 

He put his hand on the door, "If we can't stabilize it, you guys will get crushed by the pressure...theres gotta be a way."

"I-I-I-I think I've g-g-got an idea f-f-for that-t-t." Yuki said trying to get up, still feeling the electricity. "M-M-M-My Sukai Clouds are m-m-meant to h-hurt the e-e-e-e-enemy. Maybe i-i-if the th-th-thunder Su-Sukai Clouds' l-l-lightning kept strik-k-king the o-o-others, they w-w-would unaff-ff-ffected t-t-t-t-too without a-a-any pain!" Yuki said. It seemed like this stuttering would last a little bit. "THUNDER!" He yelled out and all the Sukai Clouds turned dark like actual thunder clouds, with little flashes of lightning appearing inside.

Kristy gave a mighty swing with her shield and knocked a doll away from her.  When she heard the voice shout out liftoff, Kristy mumbled:  "Uh-oh." She instantly went on all fours when the gravity became more dense.  On her front, Kristy shifts around to be on her back to see what would be coming.  And what she saw coming were a couple of dolls.  With all her might, Kristy struggled to move her right arm up.  Opening her palm, she sent out some blasts to take out the dolls heading toward her.  When she finished, her right arm quickly fell to the ground and her Aura fades.  Doing her best trying to get up, Kristy says:  "It just got harder to get up the stairs."

Maxwell had the perfect idea, "Yuki, if you can make them turn into regular water sukai clouds, and make them evaporate their water to make the room's air humid, I can try to electrify it, reducing the gravity's effect on the room, its risky, but just might work..." Maxwell explained as he shot lightning into the clouds, this was a bold plan, but one that might just work, and stop the others from dying.

"I-I'll give it a t-t-try." Yuki said. He finally fully stood up, trying to withstand the gravity due to being stronger in his SSJ form. "WATER!" He yelled out and all 8 Sukai Clouds turned into light gray clouds. "Alright....EVAPORATE!" The 8 Water Sukai Clouds then had vapor evaporating out of the clouds, filling the rocket with humid air. "A-A-All up t-to you, Max!"

"I have irks as well." Shade informed him."Mine is rudeness. Also cool hammer!!!! It looks like something from an anime!" She giggled jumping up and down. After a few seconds of jumping she stops."So where to Khan Kahn?"She asked in a sugar coated voice. She groaned in her mind. "Great the newb is already better than me!" She tilted her head. "What a odd sound..." She muttered.

"Then be thankful I'm not rude towards you. And yes...it is rather "cool", as you put it." He noted, looking around at the strange city they were within the boundaries of, free to roam around but not leave. This was their home now, their Realm....soon to be his Realm, if he can work his way to that point.

"So, where to, Shade?" He then asked her after finishing his pondering.

Sora was flattened. Literally, without the more exotic powers that the others of her team had, she was...useless. her calm demeanor dropped, and Sora teared up.

"I'm useless again." Which wasn't a lie. Unless the Sukai Clouds worked, Sora was trapped. She couldn't fight gravity of this magnitude, and she couldn't go Super Saiyan to survive electric shocks...

"Why did I get the useless power..."

In normal circumstances, Electrified air would be impossible and if achieved, deadly, but this was the only plan that might work. Maxwell would need to get it just right, at worst the others would feel thingly for a while, before the electricity in the air began to dissipate, it would reduce the gravity's effects on them as their bodies would absorb some of the electricity, negating some of it, harmless quantities should do the trick.

 

And Maxwell did just that, he began to charge electricity on top of the stairs, as a burst of electricity was released, electrifying the water particles in the air, effectively making the air have a small voltage, not only did it help the others to withstand the gravity and the pressure easier, it also helped Maxwell as having electrified air would make sure he was constantly recharging, electricity crackling around his body as he breathed the new air, the others would find it easier to move and to get up the stairs, the effect would only last a few minutes, but he hoped it was enough, "Im afraid we can't take our time, we gotta get through this door and take Aezral out, time's limited" he said getting back to business as he walked over to the door, and waited for whoever could move again.

After a minute, Yuki felt like a big burden was lifted off him. He took a deep breath and went out of his SSJ form. "Right! Coming!" Yuki said running to Max. "Hey guys, come on! Gravity's taking a break right now! Take the chance while it's open!" He yelled out to the others. "But seriously, what is the deal with these people in this place? They are just evil mad and everything. Like they don't have any heart what so ever. They're like....Nobodies. Purely evil Nobodies. They just seem to don't care about us at all, you know?" Yuki said to Maxwell, expressing his thoughts towards the few people they met so far in The City.

 Asher As the dolls descended on the two, out of nowhere more marauder pods slammed into the ground near them, and altogether hundreds of crazed beasts rushed at Vladimir/Nathan and Asher. In a split second dozens of dolls jumped from a nearby building and engulfed Nathan/Vlad entirely, such that Asher could not even spot him. "Asher!" Q sounded hurried and anxious. "You have no time. The bunker in front of you; you have to go. You have to run right now! Do it!"

It was Q...and billions of dolls. He wouldn't help this Vladimir man, and Asher burst himself into the small bunker with his fire energy.This was probably a trap knowing everything he's gone through.He slammed the door just as a doll lunged at him."I'm sorry, Nathan..." he muttered.Maybe Nathan would come back...after all Vladimir was NOT Nathan.He was alone once more."What is it Q, you know I don't trust you..." Asher asked her through his earpiece.

Nora kept launching the mini nukes at the dolls with no remorse. She just wanted them dead and gone. The fact that the ship itself was handling the attacks surprised her more than anything. These were mini nukes! Of course, was also creating his own wave of destruction, absorbing the flames from the explosions and using them to his advantage. But just as the ship lifted off, they were all forced down by gravity, their bodies pressing down against the ground. Nora felt as if she was about to become a pancake out of the tremendous pressure. "Ugh...!" Nora panted, feeling the air pressed out of her. Tristan was trying everything to get back up, but even he couldn't fight back against the gravity. However Maxwell and Yuki had come up with a plan, and for a few moments, the gravity was lifted off from them. "Right!" Nora stood up, forcing herself to run to Yuki and Maxwell along with the rest to the boss' door along with Tristan. "Do you think the gravity will be as strong inside...?" Nora asked, looking up at the door. Were Nathan here, his gravity powers would've proven useful. "A boss awaits us beyond this door right...what do you think will happen if we fail...?" Tristan shrugged. "We have to fight regardless, don't we? Win or lose...I'm more worried if we would be able to get back down." Tristan mentioned.

Firestorm Cloud Riders

 

Kristy did the best she could to stand up.  But she fell down on her knees, no thanks to the gravity.  Pouting out of irritation, she says:  "This is getting old real fast!"  But then she started to feel lighter.  She once again tried to stand up, only this time she manages to do it.  Hearing Maxwell and Yuki, Kristy says:  "Okay!  Thanks Yuki, and you too Max!"  Before heading further up the stairs she thought of checking on Sora.  Kristy looks back and sees her flat on the ground.  Running to her and picking her up, Kristy says:  "Come on Sora!  We have to get a move on."  Hearing Nora's question, Kristy answered:  "I'd take a wild guess and say that we'll be stuck in space or die if that happens.  But neither of those will happen."

"I just have 2 words to answer that question Nora. Just two.....We die." Yuki said, calmly as ever, putting his arms behind his head. "Just as simple as that. You have no idea how many I've heard the infamous 3 words, "You will die", it gets annoying after a while." He looked up at the ceiling of the rocket. "I wonder where we're going anyways. Aezral said it would be somewhere where we could never come back...If it's true, that is."

Shade tilted her head."Uh,down I guess. We're at the top of a building..that we can't go back down..." She thought about it. "Well I guess my powers come in handy! I can make a way down and as I said before you can pick." She smiled. "So where to?" She asked and sighed. She closed her eyes and sat down.

"Well now..." Aezral's voice filled the room. "that was quite a... shockingly good plan. Well done friends. Maybe you will do it after all..."

 

The wheel to open the door suddenly started spinning. Faster and faster. Finally it halted with a slam, and the door creaked open little by little. At this time the rocket reached a point of lesser thrust. Gravity seemed to get back to a normal as the door opened enough to show the room beyond the door. A huge control room with monitors all around showing space, planets, stars. In the center of the room stood an older woman - seemingly in her 60s- wearing an astronauts suit with everything but the helmet.

 

She was turned away from the group as she came into view, but slowly she turned about and faced them, a sly smirk on her face and wrinkled dressing her expression.

 

"Welcome the new frontier darlings."

 

What has seemed to be metallic walls slid away to reveal gigantic windows on all sides of the room and outside of them... outer space. The thrust of the rocket was just enough to simulate the sensation of gravity it seemed, for they had left the terrestrial area of the City altogether.

 

"I am Aezral. In several minutes at least one of us will be dead, but we have much to talk about before that happens. Come in."

 

Asher

Q spoke. "Good, you made it. I was worried for a second there. I have some bad news about Nathan, or Vladimir as he calls himself. He was heavily damaged in the attack by the dolls and has since been corrupted. I've sent him to be with the other corrupted members so he doesn't infect you with it, and in time he may recover. Don't count on this necessarily being the last time you see him."

 

Within the bunker the only sounds seemed to be the drips of water somewhere far off. It seemed like Asher was mostly safe here, but it was unlikely he was alone, for soon he could hear footsteps drawing closer.

 

"This is however, a trial building, though, which means it has a guardian. Be ready."

 

The footsteps drew closer and closer until at the end of the lengthy atrium hallway to the bunker a young man turned the corner. He was dressed in military uniform garb but his facial expression seemed the opposite of war-like; soft and emotive and with a sense of sadness pervading his features. He had no weapons about him, be them guns or knives. He looked at Asher from across the cold metal interior of the building.

 

"Hi there. I'm Yven. I'm sure you've been through a lot to get here, would you like to rest for a bit? I figure you've earned if nothing else. Can I ask your name?"

 

Shade & Khan

 

"You aren't wrong." Q's voice chimed in to answer Khan's words "Focus, and you shall find that you have the powers to change what you dislike about this place, about the journey that lies before you, and, yes, even me. The abilities you have can be incredible."

 

Suddenly a marauder pod slammed down on a roof across from the two. The door burst open and from within emerged a strange gray beast with glaring red eyes. It seemed to resemble a minotaur, and in size it stood almost twice the size of Khan and with the bulkiness to match. It had a gigantic axe in its hands and eyed the pair with complete hatred. More pods rained down all around them, but none so close as the current foe. In a moment it charged and leaped across the rooftop gap at Khan and Shade, carrying out a vicious horizontal strike that was aimed for both.

 

Q has a mix of intrigue and anxiety in her voice. "Now you just need to make use of them."

"Woah...." Yuki said, amazed by the room. It was....Stargazing. Amazing even. Planets and stars everywhere! But there was Aezral. And that smirk made Yuki uneasy. "It is a nice place you've got here....But if there's one thing I've learned being in the City, you can never trust a single person that lives in these "Trials". But.....I'm willing to listen to what you have to say, but make it quick. To be honest, if one us dies, I'm hoping it's you. No offense." He said straight and simple with his arms crossed.

He was about to answer, but his attention was diverted towards the loud crash on a nearby rooftop, caused by a Marauder Pod landing and bursting open to reveal a very, very angered Minotaur-like creature, who after gazing at them for a few moments, jumped across the gap between their buildings and attempted to swing at them.

"No time to think about that now, we have company, Shade!" He said, summoning his Wrath Hammer and dodging the strike, then swinging one of his own at the vulnerable creature's left side, hitting it dead on to the chorus of crushing bones as several of the creatures ribs crack and break. It reels in pain, but only for a moment before swinging its Axe wildly, Khan blocking most of the hits with his Hammer, but getting knocked away by the blunt end, causing him to slide back a few meters. His Green Aura glows for a brief moment to signal its activation. "Now you shall know pain, monster." He said before enveloping himself in the Aura and propelling himself forward, shoulder first, into the Minotaur, ramming it hard making it slide further than he did and wobble at the building's edge before slipping and plummeting to the ground below.

"Hmph. That isn't the only one...there are more pods around, so take care. Now take us down! We head for the South!" He shouted with command and urgency. 

"Alright!" Shade cried.  She used her energy and and block like stairs formed. They lead down. She stood and opened her eyes. "Now we better hurry." She started down the stairs. She ran as carefully as possible. "Don't take to long!" She cried and jumped down the last three steps. "This building must be evil!"  She said aloud and started to run south.
