(Sorry in advance if there is a thread like this)

 

So I thought it would be nice to share our favorite Pokemon series and movie. If you are newer to the series, then you can talk about where you started or where you want to start watching. If you are uninterested in the series, then why did you click on this thread in the first place ;P

 

So my favorite series is Sinnoh and my favorite movie is Pokemon 4Ever. What is yours?

I'm not a huge fan of pokémon, but the original series is the one I watched religiously and I remember I got some enjoyment out of that.

And the Lucario movie was really cool. I mean, when people started "dying", I actually felt emotions.

I love the Original Series and Diamond Series. XY series is actually pretty good. And as for the movie I love Pokemon 2000.

I haven't watched the anime ever since the Indigo League, so I really can't say

 

As for my favourite movie, it's gotta be Pokémon 2000

Anything from the Kanto saga to Hoenn (except Frontier).

 

As for movies, Pokemon Movie 4: Celebi Voice of the Forest. The feels train knows no bounds.

I'm okay with the anime up until Battle Frontier, though admittedly nostalgia is likely what allows me to enjoy it.

 

As for the movies, it's hard to chose a favorite. The first movie (what even was it's proper title?), 2000, Destiny Deoxys, Heroes, Wishmaker, and Lucario and the Mystery of Mew are the ones I enjoy. I suppose I'll say Destiny Deoxys was my favorite.

I loved the original series (up to the end of the Johto saga) after that it became trash with contest filler arcs, terrible annoying characters and less focus on Ash actually growing as a trainer.

 

As far as films go, Pokemon 2000 is my favourite but Heroes, Rise of Darkrai and The First Movie are really close seconds. The last film I watched was the Swords of Justice film and that was a waste of time, Keldeo was really annoying.

The 4Kids-dubbed seasons are the only ones I can really stomach, both because of nostalgia and the writing is just much better for what it was (though I've only seen parts of DPP and XY and haven't even bothered with Best Wishes because of how infamous it is for being the worst season). The Indigo League season is still top tier, though really the anime only started to get "bad" about halfway in the Johto season.Best movie is Spell of the Unown just because of James's line about the personal ad. lol

Favorite series- I voted Indigo League, although it could also be Johto. I love pretty much anything relating to Johto, so that has to be considered.

 

Favorite movie- Again, another toss-up: This time between the first two movies. I loved them both about equally, although I went with 2000 for my vote to give Johto some love.

Nostalgia tells me to pick Indigo League, though the recent XY series has some really good animation.

 

Best movie will always be the third one. Rocked my VHS of that constantly when I was little. Also had the best theme song (the Johto one).

I've never watched all of the different Pokemon series, but I remember watching some Episodes of the Kanto region one, and I also remember seeing the Hoenn region Episodes, and I remember that I saw a good chunk of the Sinnoh Saga.  I remember that I'd wake up every morning extra early before going to school, just so I could watch Pokemon Diamond and Pearl!  Ah, good times. :')

 

As for my favorite movie, I have to say, The Rise Of Darkrai is definitely one I consider as a favorite!

But Keldeo is Edward Elric of Fullmetal Alchemist

I didn't watch FMA in English. It wasn't the dub that annoyed me about Keldeo though, it was the Pokemon itself. I don't think Keldeo should have been the main focus of the film. Ash and the gang were barely in the film and even Kyurem felt underused.

I liked most of the anime seasons, but I couldn't STAND the Black&White season. X&Y is surprisingly good actually. I don't really have a favourite movie, In like them all.

I can definitely that my favorite move is Pokemon 2000.  I loved it as soon as I saw it.  In fact, my mom and I were the only ones in the theater because everyone who wanted to see it saw it during the first week.

 

Series - I can't answer that one.  I'm going to say Sinnoh because Cynthia (totally not biased at all).
