so I figured that today would be as good a day as any to try and finally get Tidus' celestial weapon, Caladbolg. I dreaded the day I would have to do the chocobo race in order to get the Sun Sigil, but it had to be done. my levels of anger during this chocobo race were off the charts, but after 3 strenuous hours of attempting to get the perfect time of 0.0 seconds and listening to the chocobo racing music on loop, I FINALLY did it. it was extremely difficult, but I'm so glad I was finally able to get Caladbolg. 

Congratulations! I remember when I finally did that; I couldn't believe I had actually won it (after so many attempts), that I just sat in front of my screen for a couple of minutes, just frozen in disbelief.

Sometimes it does, but sometimes it doesn't. I've seen times where it fails, just be sure to double check just to make sure sometimes. Its an option in settings to turn on and off, so you could check out to see if its toggled off by accident or not.

Congrats on getting out of that cycle, its such a good weapon so its worth it.

Yeah I've gotten it for the ps2 version once. I've yet to get for the ps3 version.
