Final Fantasy VII's PS4 port is being developed by DotEmu, the same dev who did the PC remasters for VII and VIII and have been porting the iOS/Android versions of III, IV and most likely Final Fantasy IV: The After Years to PC.

lol love that . They should also fix Vincent weird leg glitch during the Aerith death scene .

That'd be like getting rid of FFVI's "spoony bard."  It strips away the magic of the game.

Release date?

the spoony bard quote is from FFIV(4) not in FFVI(6)

Release date?

There is none. It'll be released when they want it to be.

They won't.

They won't.

A lot of typos were fixed in the steam version including that one.

Well it's already fixed then. This is a direct port of the version that is available on Steam.

Technically they did say Spring 2015.

Yes, and they'll drop it any week day from now onwards!

You don't think they'll announce it at least a few weeks prior?

Nah, they often drop basic ports like this whenever they feel like.

Does anyone think they'll consider remaking the game if the port does well?

FF4, and it'd only be getting rid of a stupid forced meme and shitty translation.

The line was already changed to "This guy is sick," considering this is just a port of the Steam version. :/

no

that really doesn't make sense

if the port does well that just means people will buy that INSTEAD of them remaking it

Then it's already fixed. They just simply aren't fixing anything in this port.

Exactly. They're already fully aware of the demand. I doubt Kitase and Toriyama want their final big project to just be a remake. Lol.

Not necessarily.

Final?

Not necessarily.

Well yes, they aren't making it now and they won't be directing and producing games forever, plus Kitase made it clear how big and demanding it would be.
