I think I heard that it was, but I haven't seen anything to confirm it. Definitely a 4Kids error though. They also said Combusken was a good match against Kirlia.

May 3, 201510 yr Soooo was this in the Japanese version of the anime?Cuz this looked like something slapped in during localization They added in the Trainers' Choice after the Japanese version stopped doing the Who's That Pokemon segments during the 3rd gen adaptation. I honestly have no clue what the Seviper mistake was about though; my closest guess was that it was supposed to be based on what pokemon Seviper is closest to, and it would've been Arbok since they're both snakes, but idk that's just my speculation. lol
