This here is the RP thread for Once Upon a Fantasy, inspired by Once Upon A Time, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts.  The sign-ups are still open, so if you’d like to join please read the rules and sign-up here: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/86632-once-upon-a-fantasy-sign-ups-and-ooc-discussion/

If you’re late to the party no worries; I’ll offer refreshers to anyone new and will also create an opening for those who enter late.

Now then, a few notes to the players before the games begin:

At the start of your post please put a header indicating your character’s FF/KH self.  For instance:

~*~Yuna~*~

The wind tousled Cynthia’s fine-brown locks as she strode down the sidewalk, humming a light tune to herself as she window-shopped.  This was one of her favorite pasttimes, mostly because it reminded her of . . . .

So, basically, insert your character’s original name while using their Destiny Beach name in the body of your post.  This way everyone will be able to memorize who is who and spare a bit of confusion and referencing to the character chart below.

Another note would be to please ensure you read every post before posting, especially posts made by me because I will be directing the plot as well as including your characters in events.

Now then, here is our cast for your reference:

And now, let’s . . . GO!

It is another late afternoon on Destiny Beach.  The sun is high in the sky, its rays falling heavily on the seaside town in Florida.  The weather is warm as it normally is in May, yet not too hot making days on the beach picture perfect.  You go about your daily routine as per usual, in a life which, for all the world, seems that you’ve always lived.  You’ve forgotten who you really are, and where you’re really from.  You’ve forgotten that magic, a mere legend and myth in this world, was real where you came from.  You don’t remember that you fought the people who are now your neighbors and teachers.  And, worse yet, you don’t realize that evil and danger is right in front of your very nose, ready to strike and rip all normalcy and happiness that exists in your lives.

Of course you don’t realize.  That is what the curse has done to you.  And, unless the curse is broken, you’ll never know . . . until it is too late.

You have access to everything on Destiny Beach.  There is a shopping mall, a Wal-Mart and Target, a Starbucks Coffee, and one inn run by two young women.   The FBI office exists alongside a police station, and there are also a number of restaurants in like.  There is one apartment complex called Beach and Sunset Apartments where many residents reside, as well as many homes scattered along Destiny Beach.  Cars are present, of course, but in this small town no one has much use for them.  There is one school and one small community college.  Along the beach there are many places to surf, swim, sunbathe, and buy hot dogs.

Yes, you may visit anything on the beach, but there is a catch: no one that leaves Destiny Beach ever, ever comes back.  It is not advised that you leave, for your fate is ill if you so choose this path.

For students, including Lukas, Flint, and Aeria, another day at school has just ended, and it is a Thursday.  Only one more day until the weekend.  Inside the school, Aron and Kievan are now freed up from their teaching duties, having completed their final bit of organization before calling it a day.

There is a meeting for the members of the orphan charity, an organization called Hearts 4 Lives, at Rachel’s apartment in an hour.  There she is getting ready for any or all of those who wish to attend the meeting.

Some jobs are ending while others are starting.  You are in any of the locations listed above.  What you choose to do is entirely your choice, yet the outcome, if left as-is, will remain the same.

Smiling as Nicole welcomed him in, Allen scratched his head slightly as he tried to come up with a reason for he had decided to come to the charity event.

"Yeah, uhh, I just kinda figured that I always seem to have so much time on my hands so I thought it would be best if I put myself to good use. So, I'll be helping out from now on."

Allen gave another smile, as cheerful as an angel as he made his way inside the apartment. It was then, shortly after he had made his way inside, that he came face to face with Rachel. To say that the girl wasn't visually appealing to Allen would be a lie as he seemed to go slightly red in the face and become more nervous than usual as he reached out to shake her hand.

"I-It's nice to meet you Rachel, I'm Allen."

Allen looked around the apartment, noticing that it appeared quite cozy in contrast to his own.

"Well, I'm pretty new to all of this charity stuff, so if you could just tell me what I need to do, then I'll try to help as best as I can."

Yawning as he skated through town, Maverick rubbed his eyes slightly. After looking back in front of him, he found Lukas skating in front of him. A devilish smirk appeared on the dark haired teen's face as he began to speed up by leaning forward. Catching up so that he was right behind Lukas, Maverick smirked as he gave Lukas a little push. This push however would result in the blonde flying off his skateboard due to the speed they were going at. Grinding to a halt in front of Lukas, who was now led on the floor with a few bruises, Maverick smirked and knelt down in front of him.

"Hello loser~ How are you doing on this bright and terrible day? Oh what's that? You suddenly remembered that you owe me money? Well gee Lukas, you're such a friend! Let me help you get your wallet out."

Patting Lukas' pockets while he was still stunned, Maverick pulled out Lukas' wallet and took 10 dollars from him, tossing the wallet back it his face.

"Maybe I'll put this to some good use and by myself a dart gun to shoot you with. Anyway, you should feel grateful that I decided not to give you a beating today. So I'll see you around. Oh, and you might want to refill your wallet, it's looking awfully empty. See ya."

And with that, Maverick hopped back onto his skateboard and left, heading around to buy something with the stolen money.

"I am so going to spend this on the most useless thing imaginable."

"Alrighty!" Eclair said, then bustled about, completing Elysia's order, occasionally dropping off a piece of the order.

"Just make sure you hold onto that Shulk Amiibo till I get there." She told Skylar as she went about her work. "I'll pay for it, just make sure it's there and we're square."

Tiffany was getting excited about the idea of working at GameStop. Though now with a weird confrontation between Skylar and the FBI lady, Tiff lapsed into an awkward silence. She wasn't sure what Aeria was talking about. The black haired girl was actually really cute, in Tiffany's opinion. There was issues in the world that the former high school student didn't understand and couldn't fix, which annoyed her.

Eclair bustled up to Aeria, putting down the two pie pieces that Elysia had ordered.

"She's also headstrong." She said to Aeria. "Or what ever the term is to explain why she left her pie behind."

She reached up and ruffled Aeria's hair.

"Good thing she's got you to keep her level headed."

Bustling away again, Eclair came up to Flint and Zachary.

"Hello, hello, hello." She greeted brightly. "What can I get you?"

~*~Kefka~*~

It seemed that Aron's advice went in one ear and out the other for Kievan. The science teacher maintained a blank look on his face, staring out toward a set of lockers while barely acknowledging that he heard Aron. It didn't matter whether he took Aron's advice now or not; the students already hated him, and if he tried to be sincere and relate to their level they would just think he's up to something. No, nothing would make a difference for Kievan, just like everything else he attempted. He had a difficult time making friends or barely keeping good relations with anyone. He was always known as the threatening, boring, intimidating man who had a fascination for science, folklore, myths, and antiques.

He watched silently as Aron slipped off out of the building, leaning against the wall while waiting to ensure that Aron was gone before proceeding to leave himself. All looked clear, and so he proceeded to his car and backed out of the parking lot. Thankfully the lot was cleared of crazy kids backing up to each other for a lack of driving experience, as he hated stumbling upon those. His car had a nice big dent in the bumper just from some high school senior backing up into him.

It wasn't long before Kievan reached Sid Benson's auto garage, where the man still resided working busily. The blond man got out, slamming his door before casually strolling in to the garage, uninvited. "Sid, long time no see," said Kievan, folding his arms casually. "I have a job for you, which I will pay for. What say you to taking a trip with me over to the beach, hmm?"

Skylar's eyes widened upon Elysia's words. He watched as Elysia hugged her daughter and bid her farewell, partly surprised that she left her there alone with him. Miserably he turned back to his coke, which wasn't really to-go anymore since he'd drank over half of it in his sitting. Now he felt downright terrible about having been rude and dismissing of the poor girl. Skylar had seen a number of idiotic teenagers come into Gamestop and act like fools, and for a moment he thought--no, presumed--that Aeria would just be another one of them. He'd no idea that she had issues, let alone the fact that she tried to kill herself only weeks ago. Skylar gulped, twirling his straw, wondering what he should do now. He wanted to make amends, but feared worsening the situation or making Aeria think that there was something wrong with her. If anything, Skylar knew that special treatment would only make things worse. Which is why he proceeded casually to say, "So you're sixteen and looking for a job. I'd say that's pretty impressive. I can't say I even got a real job until last year, and I'm going on twenty." He laughed to himself before turning a smile on to her. "And don't worry about your mom. She just cares and is doing what she thinks is good for you. Sometimes parents just do that. Like my grandma."

Silently Skylar hoped that Aeria wouldn't ask about his grandma, because it was a story that he really didn't wish to reiterate. Just in the knick of time, Eclair returned and responded to Skylar's question, along with greeting the other guests and sharing a word with Aeria. Truthfully Eclair was letting Skylar off easier than he thought. He tipped his cap and called after her, "Will do, my good lady. Will do. You know, though, if repayment in form of a date is something you'd like better I'd be happy to oblige sometime. I'll even take you out to eat and the meal will be on me, just, uh, not here of course." Of course he was probably pressing his luck here with such a statement, but he couldn't help dreaming about it. He then threw a glance back over his shoulder toward Zachary, hoping that he'd stay at the diner for at least a little while. He greatly wished to speak to him, but felt obliged to stay and continue the conversation with Aeria now that he'd started it.

Something about the blond young man appealed to Rachel. He seemed friendly, polite, slightly shy, and just as eager to fit in as herself. The redhead giggled slightly upon noticing the color rise to his cheeks, yet she masked it quickly and nodded enthusiastically, grasping his hand with both of hers. She noticed that they were rough, probably from playing sports, she quickly presumed. "And I'm very glad that you joined in. There's always room for new volunteers, and it's great that you'll be joining us. Our organizer, Iris, said that she had something new in mind for us this week, so I'm very excited to hear it. Something about a new boy in town along with a fundraiser opportunity." She smiled widely, giving his hand a slight tug. "Why don't you come and sit down, maybe help yourself to some cookies? I hope that you don't mind peanut butter. Perhaps you could even tell me a little bit about yourself, like if you're still in school or what you're currently doing?"

The redhead was cut off by Seraphim throwing her arms around her middle, again causing Rachel to give a start. Her lips tightened; she hated being touched involuntarily, and Seraphim didn't really understand her limits with Rachel at all. Still, Rachel knew she was a nice agent and all, but there were times when their relationship was strained at best. "There isn't much to do, Sera, unless you would prefer to check on the cookies or watch the door for me. Or, if you'd like, you can become acquainted with our new guests. Both Allen here and Nicole from Social Butterflies are new, so perhaps you can catch them up to speed on some of the things we've done in the past."

~Fran~ Nicole nodded as Allen passed with a feign excuse, closing the door behind him. She walked back to the glasses and took one for herself, enjoying the cold beverage. It had been quite a long day; before she arrived, her car broke down, so she stopped by Sid's to get it fixed, which took longer than she had hoped. Afterwards, she managed to catch the school traffic, again, delaying her arrival. Add all that to the daily paperwork she has to file before leaving, and you have one stressed out lady. No wonder why her hair was white! Nicole walked back over to the couch, sitting next to one of her favorite people.

"Tina! How are you?" Nicole heard her name being mentioned, and shot her face towards Rachel. Was there someone she wanted her to meet?~Zidane~ Zachary laughed a bit, finishing with a sigh. "I understand, you didn't hear me the first time. Can I have a Peach Tea with a Philly Cheese, please? I left my money on the counter up there." He said, resting his chin on his hands, and pointing briefly. "There should be enough for tip in there as well." Upon taking a look again at the bar, Zach noticed a glance from Skylar, one that seemed to be begging Zach to get him out of the awkward situation he was put into. Zach forced himself up off his chair, and headed over to the small group, the once loud rabble quieted down to a mere conversation.

"Hey, Skylar. You know, I bet Aeria would be the perfect cashier. A friendly, young face to say goodbye. And Tiffany..." Zach looked behind him, growling sensually, "Tiffany can manage basically any position." Zach was the kind of guy to flirt with literally anyone who wasn't underage. Male, female, ugly, pretty, nice, mean. Of course, his flirtations never meant anything real. Just playful throwabouts.

"... but yeah. Aeria seems nice enough. Heck, I could walk her to Gamestop myself if she wants me to! After all," Zach bowed politely before Aeria, "A gentleman never lets a girl walk alone."

Lukas was caught completely off guard at the sudden violent push from behind. Because he was going at a moderately high speed he rolled a bit before he curled up from the sudden pain with a groan. He gritted his teeth when he saw Maverick kneel down before him.

"I-I don't owe you anything!" He yelled, lifting himself up slightly with his arm. He watched helplessly as Vanitas took his wallet and robbed him. He closed his eyes tight; that was the rest of the money he needed to purchase Aeria a necklace for her birthday tomorrow. After Maverick threw the wallet back at him and left, Lukas slowly got up. He looked into his wallet sadly.

"Aeria... I'm so sorry... I'm so weak..." He said to the wallet, as if it was her. He shoved it back in his pocket and started to truck himself over to the diner.

Once Lukas got there, he looked down at the floor and made a straight beeline towards where Flint sat. He always said hi to everyone, but not today. He sat down across from Flint at the table with a small grunt.

"Sorry I'm late..." Lukas muttered to his best friend. He had some blood dribbling from the corner of his mouth.

Allen was a little lost in the moment as Rachel pulled him along. Eventually, the blonde regained his composure and gave a cheerful smile.

"Ahh, thank you. Some cookies would be great."

Moving to the living area, Allen put his bag down to one side where it would be out of the way before helping himself to a cookie or two. Noticing everyone around, Allen quickly came to the conclusion that this charity meeting was going to include more people than what he had originally anticipated. Looking back at Rachel after hearing her ask about who he was, the soccer player put a hand to his chin in order to decide on where he should begin talking.

"Well, I finished school two years ago and since then I've been playing soccer as a semi-professional player. For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to aim for a goal and shoot with all I've got, so I've practiced everyday so that I could get to be this good. Even my coach says I'm a prodigy."

Allen laughed a little, almost feeling uncomfortable for bragging about himself. Allen's expression then became somewhat melancholic as he could barely maintain his natural smile.

"But I guess that the real goal I'm shooting for is finding my father. I never knew my father, so I always thought that if I could be seen by as many people as possible, then he'd have a better chance of seeing me. And then, maybe I'd get to finally meet him."

After talking about his father, Allen's smile then brightened up into a more cheerful one.

"I guess that's why I'm here! So that other kids won't have to live through their childhood without knowing what it's like to have a father."

Allen then began to feel slightly embarrassed as he had essentially explained his life story to Rachel.

"Well, what do you think of me after listening to my story?"

~Riku~

Flint looked up at Eclair as she approached him, asking him what he would like. Giving a brief smile, the silver haired young man spoke with a calm and soothing voice.

"Hello. Can I get two Coke's and one Ice Cream Sundae please?"

Thinking about Lukas beforehand, Flint had enough money to spare to get both of them a drink. It was then, not even a full minute after ordering, Lukas walked in and sat in the seat opposite him covered in bruises.

"Woah. What happened to you? Are you okay? You look like you fell off your skateboard. That doesn't happen all too often these days... Is everything alright? You look a little depressed as well."

Flint's mind began to wrack with ideas for what could be troubling Lukas, when all of a sudden everything made sense.

"Hey, if Maverick did this to you, then just tell me, okay? I can put him in his place. He can't keep doing this to you, it's not fair. You can trust me Lukas, really. So let me help."

-Roxas-

Lukas sighed softly as he was bombarded with questions and sympathy from his best friend. Lukas expected as much, especially since it was always the same thing when he had an encounter with 'Mavprick.' Innocently going about during the day, sudden confrontation, bearing, then limping to either home, or Flint's house. Depending on where he went different things would happen: if Lukas went home he would probably get into a fight with some of the kids and staff in his group home over where he has been and what happened to him, which usually led to the police being called or a Social Worker. If he just crashed in Flint's room and slept underneath the bed as he usually did, he would be much happier but still would have to face the wrath of the staff in his group home the next day when he showed up. Also, if Flint's parents found out he was secretly sleeping over again, that also caused some problems too albiet minor.

"Yeah... Just don't go after him. It'll make things worse... Can I stay over again tonight?" Lukas asked slightly. Talking a sip of his coke. He thanked Flint for the soda. "He pushed me off of my skateboard on my way here... And he stole my money. I was going to use it to pay off the rest of the layaway that I had on a necklace for Aeria's birthday tomorrow...-" he was going to continue, until he finally noticed that Aeria was in the diner as well. Lukas almost freaked out, and slid down in his chair.

"A-Aeria's here!!!" He whispered sharply. He tried to hide his face with the menu. "S-She can't see me like this!!!"

His change meant....mom had done it. Slumping a bit, sighing, the girl sighed and turned to look at Skylar. She watched him flirt with Eclair, and felt a pang. Maybe they'd have a better time then her...her, with the abusive boyfriend...her, with the asshat who nearly killed her.. She looked at her pie sadly, then back up as the newcomer...was a normal male. She frowned a bit, then rolled her eyes.

"And again, the pretty girl gets the better attention - " Then his answer. Her cheeks went scarlet, the girl now silent. She took a moment to pick up her fork and take a bite of pie, before answering. "...I would like that...just, make sure my mom knows. She has a gun, and she's a little overprotective."

She then heard some commotion, and looked over. Flint and Lukas. Biting her lip...her somewhat taken back expression turned angry. She got up and walked over.

"Lukas. What happened to you?" She demanded. She knew the answer, and she was not liking it. Probably...

"Was it my asshole of a boyfriend?" She asked, much quieter. She hadn't let go of a fork, and it was held tightly.

-Seven-

She pursed her lips, then stuck her hands in her pockets. "Someone else can man the door this time. I'll prefer cookie duty!"

Translation: Any and all cookie dough is now fair game.

Lukas was hoping Aeria wouldn't notice the fact that he was here. But she did, and was now demanding to know what happened to him. Lukas was alarmed; he couldn't tell her it was Maverick. But he couldn't lie to her either. He quickly wiped the blood off the corner of his mouth with his sleeve and tried to hide some of his bruises.

"I f-fell off my board..." Lukas said quietly. It wasn't a lie; he actually did fall off his skateboard. He couldn't tell her the whole truth. He didn't want to admit that he was weak. He loved Aeria, as a friend and as something more, but how could he be worthy if he couldn't protect her from her own boyfriend? "Did..." He started, almost whispering now. "He hurt you... Again?"

Tina looked towards Nicole and smiled in her characteristically soft way. "Hello. I am doing quite fine." She responded to her friend's question. She sipped a drink of the water she had grabbed. "How have you been? Job been stressful as usual? Talking to you makes me happy that I do what I do. Caring for others is something that I just like doing I suppose." Tina said, carrying on the conversation.

Terrence shook his head while driving. "Nah, don't worry about it. It won't take long at all. You just have fun with the charity group then take the night off. You deserve it, and it's not like anything particularly exciting is going to happen tonight anyway." Terrence dismissed Sofia's offer without pause. He meant every word of it of course. His job was easy, but it still felt like he was doing some good. That was always good. Terrence pulled up right in front of Rachel's apartment building. "Here you go! Remember your curfew!" He joked as he dropped her off.

"Of course!" Zachary bowed again, letting the girl go her way. He had overhead that rose haired woman say that she would wait in her vehicle, so Zachary didn't hesitate to walk out and greet her. After all, he did need to collect his pay anyhow; he had just worked the day previous to this on perfecting her lawn. Zach mowed, trimmed, planted, watered, swept, even placed lawn ornaments around for her! Elysia owed him big time.

Aside from that... Aeria seemed to be a decent girl. Zach has talked to her maybe once or twice beforehand; he was a very social person, after all. Aeria seemed to have some troubles, but somethings were better left unmentioned, especially at her age. And yet... he HAS seen her around with someone he would deem a bad influence. Zach didn't know this boys name, but if he did, Zach would love to have a chat with his mother. Zachary occasionally would spot him out his window at the Inn, late at night. What was someone his age doing out so late?

Zachary forced his way out the Diner door, and towards the vehicle Elysia seemed to be sitting in.

"Elysia? You hear me?" Zachary asked, lightly tapping the door with his index knuckle.

Nicole enjoyed her talks with Tina- after all, she seemed pretty down to earth. Not to mention she had a friendly face- and that was a quality Nicole really enjoyed seeing. Many townsfolk seemed stuck up towards Nicole, and yet Tina felt otherwise. She placed her drink on the coffee table in front of her, and folded her legs.
"I have been doing well. My job, as usual, requires most of my attention. It is nice to be able to sit and talk with you like this without feeling so rushed, though." Nicole relaxed her muscles, laying back into the couch a bit more than she already had.

"What business do you think the FBI has here? They seem to be everywhere, recently." Nicole spoke under her breath, attempting to keep the conversation between herself and Tina. Nicole may not look the part, but she did like town gossip- as long as it didn't pertain to any specific person. She felt it her duty to know the major going-ons.

- Auron -

As Aron was walking and taking a nice smoke, a thought came to his mind, considering a lot of people seemed to be going to the diner, and considering he only went there a few times, and haven't gone there this week, he thought having dinner there wouldn't hurt much, "Maybe i'l meet someone there, a chat does help with the stress" Aron commented as he took another route, this one leading to the diner.

However it wasn't long until he bumped into Maverick, who was riding his skateboard, without paying attention as always, as both of them fell on their asses from the blow, Aron recovered quickly, as he was used to these sort of bumps and hits, specially from Maverick, who has had the displeasure of meeting with almost constantly, much to both individual's annoyiance, "Oh its you Maverick, stealing again I see?" Aron commented with a dry and sarcastic tone, he knew of Mavericks antics, and his constant bullying of Lukas, but sadly, he was never able to do much, delinquents like Maverick never learned anyway. "Let me guess, is that Lukas's money?" he asked with a frown.

(Well Lukas is Auron's student, so it makes sense for Aron to know about Lukas being picked on by Maverick.)

Now he found himself sitting alone after Zach whipped off to go ask Elysia if he could take Aeria to Gamestop, and Aeria went away to go talk with a group her size and age.  Truthfully Skylar was rather relieved by this; he didn't know how to proceed such a conversation with the black-haired girl who's problems amounted to even the worst cases he'd heard.  He felt sorry for her, however, and wished that he could help, but he knew anything he did would probably cause more harm than good.

"Thanks for the drink, Eclair," he said softly on his way toward the door.  "And heya, Flint.  Lukas!"  He held up a hand in greeting before striding out into the cool spring evening.  The temperature dropped at least a few degrees since he'd walked into the diner.  The sun barely peaked over the horizon while the sky was painted with oranges and purples as a result.  Shoving his hands in his pockets, the brunet made his way to his car and, upon unlocking the door, noticed Zach tapping away at Elysia's window.  He chuckled to himself; it certainly seemed Zach was serious about this one.  He waved and cried across the car, "Hey, Zach!  We've got to catch up sometime soon.  A lot of strange things have been going on lately, what with the FBI, something about new agents, and bizarre investigations all over the place.  Yesterday I got pulled over by a cop after leaving the adolescent group home and they demanded to search my car.  It was cool, because we all know I've got nothing to hide, but these guys . . . they weren't normal cops.  Seriously, I swear, man, for a moment I wondered if they were even cops at all."

Rachel managed a warm smile to Seraphim before nodding in her direction.  "Perfect, thank you.  There shouldn't be much left, and the dough is on the counter.  You're really helping me out a lot."  She hoped that this would make up for her slight tightness from earlier, as she hated being distant and cold to anyone.  Truthfully, however, Rachel was just happy that Seraphim was going to be out of hugging distance.  She didn't know why, but that always got to her.  The redhead made her way over to the couch as well, smoothing out some throw pillows before sitting alongside Allen.  She listened intently to his story, surprise quirking a brow upon his completion.  She had to admit that she was a bit surprised by his boldness; fond surprise, however.  Rachel let out a slight laugh, turning her face away to eye the coffee table before returning her gaze upon him.  "Well," she managed, shaking lose strands of wavy red hair from her face, "I think that there's a lot more to you than one would initially think by looking at you.  You're a young man who's endured a lot, Allen, what with not having a father in your life.  I truly hope that you find him one day; that would be such a joyous reunion for you both."

She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear before turning her head to face the coffee table once more, perhaps out of shyness.  "I wish that I had such an interesting story, but sadly I do not.  I'm just a vet here on Destiny Beach, and I had a sister"--her expression darkened, and her eyes grew glassy momentarily before she shook her head--"who used to do everything with me.  But enough on that!  I'm very happy that you're here, Allen.  I feel that you'll really make a difference here in Hearts 4 Souls.  Oh, which reminds me, do you know anyone here?  Tina, Nicole, or Seraphim?  All are quite nice, with Tina and Seraphim regulars.  Soon you'll meet Skylar, if you don't know him already.  I'm sure that the two of you will be fast friends.  You remind me so much of him."

Eclair took Flint and Zach's orders with a smile and a nod, before bustling off again. Tiffany nodded to Zach's comment.

"I'm pretty flexible with job positions." She said. "If there is a technical side of things, I'd prefer that."

Tiffany was feeling better again...until Lukas came in. After a second of hesitation, she walked over to him and examined his injuries.

"'Fell off'" she muttered. "Yeah right."

She turned to ask Eclair for a first aid kit, but found the waitress already behind her, with the kit and a glass of water.

"Here." Eclair said, putting the water down in front of Lukas. "Drink slowly and holler if you want something else."

Handing off the first aid kit to Tiffany, Eclair went off again. Tiffany pulled out a few items, then gave Lukas a stern look, which was odd coming from her.

"Now, hold still while I clean you up." She ordered.

So, Maverick was still an @$$hole. Man, she did not miss high school. Eclair swung by again, giving Zach and Flint their orders.

Before Zach could get it all out, Skylar arrived. Elysia immediately went all business. "Skylar. What were their badge numbers? Car type? And why do you feel as if they were not actually cops?" She pursed her lips for a moment, thinking. "Perhaps...you feel as if someone was impersonating a peace officer?"

The FBI Agent slid into the kitchen, and found everything she needed. Getting a tray ready, she put aside three pieces of cookie dough before starting the oven. Snacking on the three pieces of cookie dough, Sera went about making all the cookies she could, glad to be of some help to Rachel.

~Tidus~

Allen kept his gaze on Rachel as she talked about her sister. His expression became slightly saddened after hearing about her loss but he smiled reassuringly as soon as her mood lightened.

"I hope I can be of some help to you and the rest of the group."

Rachel proceeded to ask Allen if he had known anyone else from the charity event.

"Well, I occasionally meet Nicole while wandering around the city and practicing for soccer tournaments. She tends to be slightly overbearing, but I know she's really just trying to be friendly. Other than her, I don't really know anyone else here. If you don't mind, do you think could possibly introduce me to them?"

Flint thanked Eclair as he brought around his and Lukas' drinks. Turning back, Lukas was now confronted by Aeria, the silver-haired teen sipped his drink slowly, trying not to seem suspicious as he came up with a plan to get Lukas out of the precarious situation.

"Hey Aeria, it really wasn't Maverick you know. Me and Lukas just got out of school, I was waiting for him to finish his detention."

Flint smiled and shrugged convincingly, shaking his head slightly as he flapped his arms in order to persuade Aeria that Lukas had simply been a klutz.

"The kid was so excited to get out of school that he landed flat on his face. Oh! I just remembered!"

Flint then reached into his wallet and pulled out some money, putting it on the table for Lukas.

"This is to pay you back for that thing you mentioned earlier. I have plenty of money to spare, so don't worry about it, okay?"

Flint smiled, giving his best friendly wink of reassurance, letting him know that he's got his back. It was then that Flint directed his attention towards Aeria as she pulled down the sleeves of her shirt.

"More importantly~... Aeria, if you're having trouble with Maverick again, then I can go and talk to him if you want. Even I can't stand the sight of that guy, so let me and Lukas help you deal with him. You can trust us."

~Vanitas~

Rubbing his head after being knocked to the ground, Maverick groaned as he looked up to see Aron. Noticing that he was being "accused" of stealing, Maverick brushed himself off as he got back to his feet.

"Hey old man. I'll have you know that this money was owed to me because Lukas is a little whining loser who doesn't deserve the money he gets. It's only fair that I put it to better use."

Yawning, the black haired delinquent put "his" money away safely before picking his skateboard back up.

"Anyway Teach, if you're here to try and get me to go back to school, then tough luck. That place was so boring that it made me want to puke. Now, if you don't mind, it's getting late and I have things to do before the sun sets."

Laying his skateboard down on the ground, Maverick was about to begin boarding away when he stayed in one place.

"Maybe you should begin spreading the word that I'm going to be changing things around this city. After all, this is my city and I'll do whatever the hell I want within it."

Maverick then pushed off, leaving Aron in the street.

"... I need to find someone who can help me get my true strength back."

Sofia jokingly rolled her eyes with a chuckle. Terrence and his jokes. She was somewhat saddened that he wasn't going to go with her, but that's okay. There's plenty of other opportunities anyway! She opened the car door and got out. She looked down at her partner with a smile through the window.

"Thank you." She said. "What's my curfew? Coffee in the morning with you at 10:30?" With that, Sofia left without giving Terrence a change to answer. She went right into the building and knocked on Rachael's door. She had a small fruit platter in her hand that she was carrying in her purse beforehand. She hoped she wasn't late.

Lukas looked down as Tiffany and Eclair came in the picture. He hated attention from Maverick's beatings, and with everyone in the town basically knowing it only made it worse. Lukas fights plenty of people especially in school. Sure, he looses quite a lot but at least he is able to somewhat stand up for himself. But Maverick, he was the only person Lukas wouldn't dare toutch. He doesn't know why, but there was something about the ivory haired teen.

"I'm alright..." Lukas muttered, giving up immediately as Tiffany began to patch him up. "Thanks...." He didn't know what to say in response to Aeria. He was hesitant until Flint came to his rescue.

'Flint...' Lukas thought. He couldn't help but smile from Flint's loyalty to him. Lukas wasn't sure if he should take the money, but he took it with a bright smile on his face.

"Thank you." He mouthed. He looked to Aeria, his confidence restored. "Yeah! Flint and I will take care of him. You're safe with us okay?"

--Auron--

Aron kept quiet as Maverick spoke, holding back the urge to laugh at some of his statements, but had to speak at some point, "Well for him to owe you means that you have either done a favor or lended some money to him, which im sure you didn't do either of them" Aron explained with a chuckle, as Maverick spoke about the school he frowned, "I was actually heading somewhere until you bumped into me, go or don't go, your choice" he said, he was still getting paid at the end of the month for doing his job, so he could care less if Maverick went to school or not.

"Right, 'change', spray down a few walls, steal money from passerbys, yeah I see how you can change the town" Aron said sarcastically with a dry tone as he chuckled at the end, seeing Maverick leave Aron couldn't help but look his way, only to frown and continue on his way to the diner, soon arriving at it within a few minute's walk.

Tina shrugged. She honestly had no idea. "No clue. They checked out my hotel too. If you ask me, they seem to be looking for something in particular. If you are that curious though, you could always act Sera." Tina said, nodding towards Seraphim. "She seems approachable enough, though I don't know her very well myself. She's been around the meetings for a while now." The Innkeeper stated. She took another sip of her water and checked her phone. "Hey Rachel, when is Iris supposed to arrive?" She asked.

Terrence chuckled as he pulled away and back onto the street. As he began his drive towards Sid's garage, he noticed Maverick skating off as usual, money clutched in his hand. Up ahead was Aron, who seemed to be laughing. Perhaps they had just talked. Terrence pulled up alongside the teacher. "Hey old man, these kids just getting more and more disrespectful huh? Just give me a heads-up if he starts stealing your lunch money." The Sheriff said to Aron, joking easily. They had been friends for a long time. Something about the teacher rubbed him the right way, as it did most everybody.

~Zidane~
"Actually, I-" Zachary, abruptly interrupted, stuttered as Skylar entered the scene. "Really? Hmm... This town is a bit conspicuous of late. It does give me some ideas for 'I Want to be your Canary' though." Zach kicked the back of his left foot with his right. "If you stick around a bit longer, Skylar, I can talk. I just need to get Elysia here to pay me. Oh! And one other thing. Aeria wants a job at GameStop, and I offered to walk her there. I have no ill intentions, of course. I'm too old for her, she's too young for me, so on, so forth. I just wish to be a gentleman." He kept his stance as courteous as before, addressing Elysia.
"If I was to be completely honest..." Zachary leaned his head into the vehicle to speak to Elysia a bit more discreetly. "I want to have some time to talk to her about someone she's been hanging around with lately. I'm a bit worried." He backed out again. "It's none of my business, I guess."

"Also, no, you haven't paid me yet. Or you have, and it just hasn't shown up in my account yet."

~Fran~
Nicole giggled, a seemingly empty outburst, for a reason unbeknownst by others, or herself, really.

"I haven't met Iris yet. I've heard a bit about this mystery host, but have yet to see her." She took a break to recall Tina's previous statement. "I'm not very known with Sera yet. She does seem quite official. Perhaps I should lay my worries to rest for now." Nicole heard another knock at the door, and was tempted to answer it herself again. "I think I'll let someone else get this one."

- Auron -

Aron smiled as he met Terrence, he liked chatting with the sheriff, and did it quite often upon meeting him during several patrols during the week, chuckling at Terrence's statement, he couldn't help but agree, "A few of them are hard to deal with, thats for sure" Aron said with his normal, dry tone of voice, before he thought of something concerning Terrence's statement about the lunch money. "Well, he won't steal from me, although the other students, specially Lukas, for some reason Maverick has some sort of grudge on him." Aron explained, "Im sure you noticed he was clutching some money? it was Lukas's, and im sure Lukas doesn't owe him anything" Aron explained in a semi-serious tone, as he walked beside Terrence.

In the alleys . . . .

As Maverick made his way down the street, two figures jumped out from behind opposite buildings.  Both were men in police uniforms, guns at their sides, and wearing an air of superiority.  One was tall and bald with sunglasses, while the other had red hair tied back in a short ponytail.  The redhead stepped forward, blocking Maverick's path.  "Excuse me, kid," he said, voice low.  "I believe you're the one we've been searching for.  Is your name Trent Malone?  Or perhaps you go by this name: Ventus?"  The taller, bulkier man came around closer to the redhead, blocking Maverick's path of escape.  Both seemed like rather intimidating figures, and it is a wonder whether either were truly even police officers.

. . . .

Meanwhile . . . .

Behind Sophia (Sofia?) came a young woman with pale brown locks tied back by a pink ribbon.  Her emerald-green eyes sparkled kindly upon sight of her.  "Well, hello there, Sofia.  I'm glad that you were able to get some time off for this meeting.  It's a very important one, since a lot of strange things are happening in the group home as of late.  I'll discuss it more once we make it inside."

And in the diner . . . .

A tall woman with hair pinned back in a bun entered the diner.  For a long moment she stood there, in the doorway, squinting upon the scene.  Everyone seemed jolly and merry, excepting a young group in the corner of the diner who seemed to be having an issue with a neighborhood delinquent.  However, who she needed was behind the counter of the diner.  Without taking her eyes off Eclair, Ultimecia strode forward.  If in the real world she probably would've attracted the attention of many, yet here no one so much as recognized her, not from Destiny Beach or home.  Casually she sat at one of the bar stools, propping her elbows on the counter.  "Long time no see, Eclair.  I've been meaning to speak with you."

~*~Locke~*~

Skylar scowled upon Elysia's comment.  He was directly speaking to his friend Zach; he wasn't intending to get the attention of the nosy FBI agent.  Adjusting his cap Skylar let out a sigh, leaning against his dirty Chevy Cruze.  "Not that I was talking to you, but yes: a couple of blokes claiming to be police officers investigated me, also asking me if I knew about a kid named Trent Malone that's gone missing.  I guess he lived in the group home that Lukas does.  I don't know, but I never met Trent and don't know anything about him.  One guy was bald and the other had red hair, yet neither shared their name or showed me any badges or anything.  I didn't bother to ask."  Truthfully Skylar didn't ask because he didn't want to stir up any trouble with the cops.  He was already a shady figure who had debts to pay and stole things more than he should've and didn't want to attract more attention than possible. "I haven't any clue if they were fakes or not, but I've met you guys and you're not rough and mysterious like they were.  At first I thought they were thugs."

Skylar opened the door to his car and climbed inside, rolling down the passenger window to shout at Zach.  "And of course you're not falling for a young beauty.  Why ever would you do that?" The brunet rolled his eyes and let out a chuckle, uncertain whether Zach would remain with this method of thinking or abandon it for a crush.  "And anyway, I'd love to talk but I've got to get to a charity meeting.  Let's meet tomorrow at the diner after work, 'kay?  I get off at six.  Later!"

Rachel clasped her hands in her lap.  "Of course I would be happy to introduce you to everyone!  I'm sure that you'll make great friends with everyone here. We're really quite the friendly bunch, and"--a knock sounded on the front door, protruding into Rachel's thoughts--"I should go get that.  Wait here, Allen.  I'll introduce you to Tina first.  She's a great friend of mine."

The redhead rose from her seat on the couch and strode toward the door, smoothing her hair back with a hand.  Upon opening the door she found Sofia and Iris, who seemed to be talking amongst each other before she came.  "Oh, hello, Sofia!  Iris!  Come on in!  Everyone's here and waiting for you, except for Ran and Skylar but maybe they had to work this evening."

Without waiting for them to enter, Rachel practically skipped over to the kitchen and stuck her head in.  "Sera, you can stop making the cookies for now.  Iris just got here and we'll start the meeting once everyone's seated.  Go ahead and flip off the oven for now.  Thank you."

Aeria nodded. "Okay." She bid her fare2ell and got her pie. After getting g boxes from Eclair, she headed out and squeezed in beside Zach, handing Elysia her pie.

"I'm going to Gamestop with him." She told the rose-haired Fed. "I'll be home soon."

Elysia nodded."I'll check the payment when I get home, Zach. Make sure my girl is taken care of. Or else." She reached out to take her daughter's hand, rubbing the back with her thumb. She then let go and drove off.

Aeria turned to Zach. "Lead the way."

Elysia had places to be...and so she drove. But her training kicked in all the same, leaving Elysia to look around carefully. She paused as she noticed people down an alley...and stopped. Backing up, she saw Maverick cut off by two police officers. Frowning, she parked off to the side, then got out. She inched towards the corner to listen, one hand on her sidearm.

Sera looked over. She had baked about twodozen. She currently had a chunk of cookie dough in her cheek, making her look comical. She chewed and swallowed quickly.

"Okay."

And the day started so well."Hey." She said without much enthusiasm. "How can I help you?"She gave Aeria a wave as the girl left with Zach.Tiffany finished patching up Lukas, and started closing up the first aid box. She gave both Lukas and Flint a look that said she wasn't buying it, but said nothing. Glancing at her watch, Tiffany's eyes went wide. She was suppose to be at that meeting! "See you guys." She said, before running off, briefly stopping to put the first aid kit on the counter near Eclair.

Zachary bowed one last time to Elysia, and went back into the diner briefly to grab his Peach Tea and Philly Cheese. He didn't see Aeria actually eat anything, so offered her half of his sandwich, and all of his Peach Tea.
"You hungry?" Zach waved Skylar away, nodding at his comment. Six... I will remember. Zachary took a large bite out of his half, laughing a bit with satisfaction of the taste. There was a reason he ate at the Diner everyday. The food was practically perfect in every way. He put aside the delightful tastes to speak to Aeria.
"So, I have a question. I know it's none of my business or anything..." he gulped a bit, wondering if he should actually say anything. "... who's that black haired guy you hang out with all the time?" Zachary rubbed his arm after asking the question, as if he was punched. Oddly, that was a natural reaction, after he asked questions he knew he probably shouldn't.  "I see him out my window in the early A.M., trashing up the streets. Is he okay? Are YOU okay?"
