Sora96 17,256 Posted May 30, 2015 The PlayStation 4's trophies section shows only 20% of people who have ever inserted HD 1.5 ReMIX into their PS3 have watched all the 358/2 Days cinematics, and for Re:coded it's even worse with only 18% of people who ever inserted HD 2.5 ReMIX in their PS3 to watch all of the cinematics. 1 WakelessDream reacted to this

Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted May 30, 2015 Guess it just goes to show: HD Cinematic's aren't the way to go. Never mind the content within.
Sora96 17,256 Posted May 30, 2015 That's not counting the people who don't have PSN accounts. Most people do, which again shows most people aren't interested, and who can blame them. They're horrible.

AngelTheWeirdStranger 504 Posted May 30, 2015 Well, they last too long and are really boring so watching them is the most difficult trophy you can get in any existing game. 358/2 Days had nothing interesting to show players who had already played the game and Re:Coded's promised battle scenes were a huge dissapointment, especially the last one. 3 AlixtheMagi13, Nero Kunivas and Sendou Aichi reacted to this

Haha, you can just watch them for one second and then exit. Haha. Yeah, 358/2 Days was good at times but the amount of icecream scenes and no action scenes killed it. Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted May 30, 2015 it is the least important game in the series, but some still liked it. That is not the point. Me and Sora have already said: Some isn't good enough. Perhaps next time Square do something like this, they will reconsider the idea of HD Cinematic's and just do away with them. Because they are a bore. Caity 3,946 Posted May 30, 2015 I think they'd be better with more fight scenes in them. I left Days running while I went about doing my own thing when I realized they just skipped fights to get the trophies. I did watch Re:Coded though.

Yeah, remaking a game as a 3 hour "movie" is stupid. They could have just done KHFM, Re:CoM, KH2FM & BbSFM and be done with it. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this

The idea was admittedly a little interesting, but it just fell flat on its face. I would have gladly waited longer for proper remakes of Days and Re: Coded. That would be at least somewhat better, because they'd actually be games.

Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) Those games would have not translated well onto PS3 or PS4 and it would have delayed KH3. Hmm....yeah, true. It's plausible, but only with a LOT of messing around which would delay an already taking too long and hype dry game. The KH team is only about 80-100 people. And honestly, it's just not worth it. Neither game did well enough to warrant a remake and they could easily cover the important elements from Re:coded in KH3D HD and as for Days just have some sort of lore thing in KH3 like they did in KH3D. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this
Kaweebo 3,617 Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) I liked the cinematics. I think Sora's constant talking about 'hurt' and 'hurting' got really irritating after a while in Re:Coded, but I enjoyed 358. It's nice to see what little amounted to Roxas' life and the happy times he had in full movie-like cutscenes. But I'm a mega-fan as well who goes onto forums and tries to learn every little niggling secret the series holds, so I'm well in the minority. Really? O_O Wow....for a dev team, that's quite small. But in the end, I have to agree with you. It's just not worth the time, effort or money. What baffled me further about the Cutscene Movies was that several scenes were left out and just told via text and a HD Screenshot in the background. (I was hoping for at least a little Marluxia or Larxene in Days.)

Philip Ellwell 5,487 Posted May 30, 2015 I only made it through half of Days myself: after finding out all the world cutscenes are text, and the only cutscenes center arounds ice cream and Axel and Saix, it gets pretty boring, and easy to exit from. (I didn't watch coded at all) The GAMES weren't bad, not even coded, but this movie idea was..to be honest.. kinda stupid. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this
