Sorry if this is already a topic, I've lurked here for years but never bothered to make an account until I saw the new footage at the conference today.

 

The grassy area Sora is at in the footage is a whole new version of Olympus Colosseum, and it looks gorgeous. Finally looks to be a full fledged world. This is backed up by the pillars seen in the background, as well as the trees with classic Hercules style swirls on them.

 

Another note, Sora is seen weilding StarSeeker, and what can only be the new Keyblade for Olympus Colosseum. It has pillars near the handle, and the blade seems to be Zeus holding a lightning bolt. It also transforms into a chariot with a Pegasus.

I thought that was Tangled until now.

I'm actually glad Olympus has gotten this beautiful since it used to be so annoying/bland for me after being in every single title with the exception of KH3D.

If its this beautiful, I wont complain.

I thought it looked more like an original world to me. Perhaps an extension of the Land of Departure.

No that's Olympus Colosseum because of the broken pillars PLUS that Rock Titan attacking Sora, Donald, and Goofy.

I thought that was Tangled until now.

I agree but I only like Olympus Colosseum in Kingdom Hearts 2 because we get to explore the underworld.

True KH2 was probably the only exception, everything else was either a repeat and/or boring. All BBS added was the outskirts that led to the coliseum.

Then again this game is gonna make every old world look fresh so that's a good thing. 

That is not the Star Seeker it's a new Keyblade, one that hasn't been in the series yet. But yeah, that pillar is definitely Hercules. Pretty sure that area with the river was Corona though at least. But that seems to go against his rule of not including similar looking worlds. Though maybe he's discarding that since he can add more varied environments to each world now.

Also remember that we saw a little tower that looked like the one from Tangled. I believe the Tangled world may be meshed with this Olympus Colosseum world.

In all of the other games, I felt like what we were exploring were more like neighborhoods instead of worlds. If they keep that ginormous scale, however, this problem will be MORE than fixed.

So true. And maybe Hercules can be an actual party member and he can be more useful by doing some actual punching, kicking, and use his super strength, instead of doing those golden light orbs.

If you watched the Square Enix Presents "Kingdom Hearts Spotlight" tonight, Nomura mentioned the part of the trailer "in the Hercules World" as still showing Sora in his KH2 outfit, so the whole intro part really until it shows Sora around Rapunzel's tower is actually throughout the earth part of the Hercules world.

 

 

Check out this screenshot I got that even further supports hercules, I circled the statue that I'm pretty sure is right out of the movie.
