hi everyone this is my first post, i was recently playing KH1 the other day, and saw that when sora goes to traverse town for the first time, he goes into the second district and sees a man getting chased by a heartless and then turning into one.

 

When you return later and Cid no longer works in the accessory shop, the same man (mentioned above) is working their now. when you ask him about it he says that he doesnt know what your talking about.

 

I was wondering if this was a hint of the Nobodys or a joke to show that Nomura uses the same extra characters again and again.

It's not nobody related.

Games do that a lot because they cant think of another design.

Pokemon is so like that.

If you look closely, most tv shows/games/manga/whatever else repeat background characters sometimes, because I don't think they have time to draw up fifty-million background characters. I don't really think it means anything.

yeah, there are in fact three of that same man in traverse town alone, one in the accessory shop after cid takes up gummi ships, on out side the door in the first district that leads to the third district, and the one you mentioned that gets turned into a heartless

you can also see a look alike in the room just before the entrance to the desert after defeating jafar, also there is a wakka look alike in the room where you encounter the battle with the heartless that connects with spider pots, and a look alike of the woman standing near all the tables with the relighting candles in the place where sora first meets jasmine

So serious, at some point doesn't one of the men that look alike say they have a brother(s) working on the other side of town?

the only hint of nobody i saw was that fight with Xemnas in KH1FM

I don't think a random guy from Travese Town had a strong heart

I suppose we could think of him as a nobody, but then again I have my bets to think that SE never had a design or thought or plan for nobodies at all THAT early in the game. Not until the FM of KH1 was there already the complete plan for Org. 13 and the Nobodies.

There may have been a hint of Nobodies in KH1... but I don't ever recall seeing anything related to Noboys... elaborate?

 

 

 

But yeah, the only winkwinknudge to the Nobodies is the KHFM battle with Xemnas

Well there are definitely boys in KH1.

 

But maybe that could of happened but I think its unlikely. You will see that games do that all the time. It would simply be impractical to make lots of different extras. Especially in games where there are a lot of people at once like grand theft auto.

Dude, they're NPCs. They're insignificant characters that exist for no other reason other than to give more life to the environment. You see it all the time.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned this yet. When you talk to the replacement shop keeper, he says 'What? You say you know me?' Or something along those lines (Talk to the shop-keeper and choose to talk to him instead of shopping)

It's pretty unlikely some random in Traverse town had a strong heart and became a nobody, although I would find it quite funny if they did, but yeah, it probably was just Square-Enix having a joke about them using the same character models ofr NPC's in-game, they did it a couple of times. I mean, they put a random kid in Traverse Town that was a palette swap of Tidus in the original, I originally thought it was him when I first played the game.

 

There were only two hints of nobodys that I know of in Kingdom Hearts, but they were only in Final Mix, they're Xemnas and the 13th Ansem Report.
