We have all been a little suspicious about Kingdom Hearts 3 being released in December 2016 due to that calendar shown in the trailer (despite any other theories).

But would it make sense for Square Enix to release two games on 2016 holidays, since we have just received confirmation that Rise of Tomb Raider will be out for PS4 by this time?

Tomb Raider and Kingdom Hearts are completely different. I don't think they would stand in each others ways....

I'm pretty sure that Kingdom Hearts III won't find itself threatened by Rise Of The Tomb Raider, so I have no worries!

they are nothing a like people will defiantly buy KH3!

Nintendo has done this before, last year they released Super Smash Bros and Pokemon OR/AS on the same day. If it were KH and FF then that would be an issue, but TR is a different genre.

Anyway I think that the calendar does foreshadow a date but no for the release but for the limit date, meaning KH3 won't be released past that month. That's what I would do anyway...

That calendar is irrelevant to the release date of Kingdom Hearts III. It's just there cause it's part of the room, that's it. I'm pretty sure Sora, Roxas, and Ventus' rooms have all had calendars in their rooms that had nothing to do with any release dates. I see no point to make a big deal over it at all, it's just fans desperately trying to reach out towards SOMETHING, ANYTHING, to make the release of Kingdom Hearts III that much closer.

 

BUT! If I turn out to be wrong, and it does turn out to be a hint towards any important date, release date or no, then let me be struck by-

I dont think KH and Tomb Raider will really affect each other because they are completely different games entirely. I think the only way Square would compete with itself is if they released KH3 and FFXV near each other but I think other non-JRPGs would be alright

Tomb Raider is developed by Square Enix of Europe.

 

Kingdom Hearts is being joint developed by Square Enix of Japan and America alongside Disney Interactive of America and Japan.

 

It's evident that they are not going to clash.

You know it can be winter in the trailer cause the window is open. Oh crap will it mayby be released in June 2017?

Will be unlikely cause of the E3 unless it is first in Japan.
