Before you start saying 

'Sora is the main protagonist for future KH titles' 

Yes I know that but we don't have to play as him in every new installment. For example, we've played as Roxas in 358/2 days, TAV in BBS and Riku in Rebirth and 3D. So not every title has to just have Sora. 

 

If we saw a new protagonist in a future KH title, wouldn't it be cool to have Sora as a secret boss?

Sora is the protagonist of future games. I said it. That's the justification.

 

No other characters have been confirmed playable for KH3, let alone the next saga. (As much as I would like that to be so.)

 

I don't mind the idea of fighting Sora at some point, like in DDD as the Armoured Ventus Nightmare. Perhaps as a Sparring Match as Riku or someone else or a Plot Relevant Fight.

 

But Secret Boss Sora? Not really... There isn't a scenario that would make sense in the KH Universe as of now that would promote or justify the existence of a Secret Boss Sora, not even if we played as another person. Implying another scenario that wouldn't happen of Sora V.S Sora.

 

So, 'fraid not.

Fighting Sora like mentioned above as a plot device would work. Secret boss, eh.

I think it's be pretty cool. Unless they're completely changing the way they make KH games, there'll likely be more "spinoff" games where you play as someone other than Sora, and I hope to god there are good new protags, so if there is a new game with a new main character, sure, sounds like it could be fun.

sora is going to be the protagonist forever or at least in the future saga nomura and i think the producer said it soo yeah.

Well didn't we technically fight Sora at the end of DDD?

It wasn't really Sora we fought in DDD, it was a nightmare version of Ven's Armor, hence the name Armored Ventus Nightmare.  It was just surrounding and protecting Sora while he slept.  Also, I heard that the end of this Saga would be the end of Sora's journey too, I just don't remember what interview it was.  But it would be possible.  Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga did something similar.  Once you beat the game once, you got a special item to use in a New Game + that allowed you to enter a secret boss fight with the protagonist of Shin Megami Tensei 3, and several demons he summoned.  They did it in Pokémon too.  Gold/Silver/Crystal/Heart Gold/Soul Silver allowed you to access Mt. Silver after getting all 16 badges and waiting at the top was Red, the protagonist of Red/Blue/Green/Yellow/Fire Red/Leaf Green.  And it doesn't have to be a story based secret boss.  Like I highly doubt the Julius fight in DDD will be cannon.

Sora as a secret boss? That would be way too ass.

Maybe if it were something like the Data Battles from KH2FM, but he's far more likely to be a story-related boss.

I don't see why everyone doesn't like this idea, I think it would be sweet. Imagine a game that has you play as the descendants of the cast, and there is some ridiculous plot point made that requires them to be the ones to save the worlds. Sure enough, you can find a secret boss fight against Sora, or maybe even Riku! They don't reveal their identity even though we know who they are, and they say you're ready to be a hero when you beat them. The entire fight is a test and can be canon.

 

Who wouldn't like to fight against Sora or Riku when they have mastered the Keyblade to the fullest?

And then the next secret boss is Sora's nobody. And after that, his heartless.

 

 

The next secret boss will be a suit of armor that is actually his from an upcoming prequel, and then the next hidden boss will be a younger Sora that time traveled.

You know, I actually like this idea very much!  Yes, Sora will always be the protagonist of the series, but there could be some games where his presence is felt, but we see him through the eyes of another character, eh?  I could definitely imagine it!

 

Let's say that a party of three is in a world, and well, they're wandering about.  Suddenly, someone appears, but you can't make out who it is, since the person is in a cloak and donning Keyblade Armor.  When the person summons the Kingdom Key, that's when we'll know it's Sora, and then, the secret boss battle will begin, with Sora showcasing his overpoweredness!

 

This is kind of like when the Pokemon Trainer faces Red in HeartGold and SoulSilver.

Sora wouldn't work.

The difference between 358/2 Days is that it wasn't intended to really expand on the series, it was based on fan service to play as Organization 13. Birth by Sleep is a main title but its still designed to tell the story leading up to the events of Kingdom Hearts series. Rebirth and 3D still have Sora playable, so there's no point mentioning that. 

With all that said, i do like the idea of having Sora as a boss as we can see some of SOra's more signature moves. But at the same time, it has been confirmed that Kingdom Hearts is "Sora's story". So it would defeat the purpose of making him a "secret" boss. 

 

A regular boss? perhaps.

Why not a data version of Sora? Like the data version from coded or......I dunno data collected from Ansem the Wise or something? It could be like a data replica fight similar to the KH2 one's so that way, Sora is not portrayed as a villian and that it would be possible for Sora vs Sora (that is if they don't choose a different protagonist).

They could make a spinoff focusing on Axel/Lea's story and with him being the main character.

He fought Sora several times, so it could even be a part of the story.

But the fact that Sora is a boss is no secret. B)

If you think about it he already has been a boss and a heartless. he had to battle his heartless (or shadow versions of himself) in neverland on KH1. He also had to battle darkside, which is the dark part of his heart. Sora already has been a boss, its just been hidden in plain sight.
