Radiant Garden- Keyblade Academy

Ordinarily, the Radiant Garden Keyblade Academy was rather quiet, at least by the standards of a school. Not much happened, and it was rare for any sort of exciting events to happen in the years of peace that the world had experienced. However, on this particular day, that was about to change. The Masters of the Keyblade Academy were about to send a group of students off on what would be the most important journey since the one taken by Master Sora and his friends in the past. The previous day, almost 20 students had received letters from Master Sora. Each letter shared the same message, though with slight alterations to include the name of its recipient:

Dear (Student),

Hello, this is Master Sora. I would like to let you know that you have been selected to participate in a very important mission. This journey could take a short time, or many months. I apologize if this interferes with your busy schedule, but you will be excused from all missed lessons during this time period. I would like you to convene just outside the Academy tomorrow at noon, by the fountain. You will receive further instructions at that time. I wish you and your fellow companions the best of luck on this journey!

Sincerely, Master Sora

This particular letter and mission were unknown to those who were not participating, unless a participant had informed them ahead of time. It was just the small group leaving on this quest who had any sort of knowledge as to what they were about to face...

Indy arrived at the fountain early. He hated arriving late, and as such, arriving at a meeting very early tended to become something he'd been known for. Noticing that no one else had arrived, he decided to sit down on a nearby bench, waiting for his fellow students to file in. He knew that his best friend, Raidyn, would be going along with him. Aside from that, he had no clue who all would be joining. He just hoped that they would all be ready for whatever they'd need to face. As he sat, he became lost in his thoughts. This mission could potentially mark his first time ever leaving his home world of Radiant Garden. He could finally go out and see more worlds. He could meet new people. Most importantly, he might finally have a chance to track down the person he'd been trying to find for years... He managed to look calm for the most part, though he could feel his hands shaking with excitement. This could very well be the moment he'd waited years for.

Lisa, being next to Allit, overheard this. What about a Heartless and Nobody being destroyed?.....Oh no. They are out to get her. She took a few steps away from the two women. About 7 steps back should be fine.Meanwhile, back in the restaurant, Saki was looking over at Aello's menu since he was sitting next her. He couldn't help but giggle at some of the names. But then he smelled something. What else could it be? The food of course. The food. It smelled very tasty! He stood up on his tippy-toes and looked back to see at least two tables away, some food was being served. It just looked delicious! He wanted it. He wanted to eat it. Now. Although the only way to get without pay...Was to sneak it.Thank god he was a Street Rat.But then...There would be major consequences if he got caught taking it. Plus, that muscular guy might have a fit! He didn't want that! What should he do? Saki was hungry! If only there was someway to disguise himself....That would be very helpful. Or for someway to distract the people. Saki sat back and whispered to Aello."Psst! You wanna do something sneaky?" He whispered quietly for only Aello to hear.

"What sort of sneaky thing?" Aello whispered back excitedly, managing to pull off excited and very quiet pretty well. If it was Saki's idea, it was sure to be out of the box and epic, but Aello had been told in the past that she wasn't very good at sneaky... A bit of an understatement, really... And then there was the problem of being surrounded by well trained young keyblade wielders who were practiced in the art of detecting and stopping sneaky things... And if it had to do with food, couldn't they just make the school pay for it if he didn't have money? Ah well, Aello decided just to have faith in her friend's plan. And then the emperor llama walked in trying to look like a lady. She decided not to say anything since both she and her friend and the Llama and his... Friend were trying to be inconspicuous.

"N-no problem!" Raidyn said, still struggling with his pain.

"Glad to see that you're back Indy," Toshi said. "And it's good to see that you're alright, Rei. We were worried about you."

"Oh, hey! Indy, Rei!" Raidyn said, getting up and gingerly walking towards the others, hand over his chest. "Good to see ya. Especialy you, Rei. And uh, just so you know, we might have gotten roughed up a bit, but-agh!" Raidyn's chest flared up, causing him to almost drop back to his knees.

"R-raidyn, what's the matter?" Toshi asked.

"I-it's nothin'... I'm fine... j-just a little burnt out is all..." Raidyn said, though his condition was nothing sort of alarming.

Mt. Olympus

... Not again. Indy had just dealt with his girlfriend (Well, not at the time) taking a serious injury. Having his best friend follow wasn't really a good sign. Thankfully, his situation didn't seem to be quite as bad as Rei's... He still needed help, though. "Hey, Toshi." He quickly turned over to the girl. "You can cast Cure on him, right? If that can help at least a little bit, we can probably take him back up to the Stalwart Dawn and get him properly healed up there."

In the middle of Indy's serious planning, he was interrupted by a rather loud voice. "That was amazing!" Indy tried to look around. Is that one of the Seekers...? He eventually spotted a small... goat man running towards him.

That's... a satyr...? He remembered learning about a satyr who lived in this world, but didn't know much about him.

"Hey, you! You took that big thing down by yourselves!" The satyr shouted. "You might even have what it takes to be junior heroes!" An idea seemed to click in his mind. "Hey, why don't you all participate in the Games? We could always use some new competitors to shake things up. I think the crowd would love to see ya fight!" He pointed up towards the mountain that loomed over the town. "The coliseum's up there. We're still allowing new entries, but not for long, so you'd better hurry! I'm in a hurry to track down our big hero, so I've gotta run. Name's Phil, hope to see ya there!" He ran off as quickly as he'd arrived.

"That... was odd." Indy pointed out. "A-anyway... We can figure that out later. We've got to help Raidyn, first."

"R-right..." Toshi said, taking Indy's earlier advice and drawing Protector.

"N-no really, I'm fine!" Raidyn tried to argue. "I mean, I barely got hit during the fight. I managed to stay-agh!" The pressure in Raidyn's chest increased once more, now prompting the young Keyblade wielder to drop to this knees.

"Oh no! Heal!" Toshi said, using Cure on her teammate to heal him. But for some reason, he still seemed to be hurt...

"I-I could have sworn that it worked..." Toshi said.

"Oh it did... well... mostly..." Raidyn said. "I... I really did overdo it..." Raidyn said, dropping fully to the ground.

-Rei was about to hop.onto Indy's back...but Raidyn took precedence. Hurrying over, she grabbed him, teleporting him into Stalwart Dawn's sickbay, where Orias helped begin the healing process immediately.

Watching them go.in, she facepapmed. "I've seen bad disguises. That was horrible."

Maximilian could only look in a mixture of fear, disgust and regret as he saw his special meal being brought to the table...and it looked terrible, he could not believe that someone could make this...thing....this yellow, thing, it didn't smell though, just looked utter horrifying.

"Well...can't back down now..." he said as he grabbed his fork, and with a deep breath, he closed his eyes, and took a bite...and the unexpected happened.

He actually liked it! it wasn't as bad as he thought it was, "Hm...THIS...isn't that bad...bitter aftertaste though" he commented as he ate more, hopefully this wouldn't bring any side effect, one thing was for sure though, either he had a horrible taste in food, or the meal was just...good...he didn't know how to explain it, but it wasn't as bad as he thought, not amazing.

(There!)

"Ugh...wish me luck" Maximilian said to Joel as he called the waitress, "I'd like today's special, please..." he said, he had a horrible feeling about this, his gut practically told him that if he did this, he would not come back the same...

He did noticed Artemis acting...shifty, looking back time and time again back at Allit. "Um, Artemis is acting a little weird..." Max spoke with Joel.

(If he passes out, magnet him outta there xiro)

(I think they're outside but I'll still do it)

Joel glanced at Artemis. "Hmm... Maybe he needs to use the bathroom or something?" Joel wasn't able to point off what was off about Artemis.

"Alright. One special, coming up." The old woman told the chef in the back, her monotonous voice still in use. "What about your friends back there?" She asked, looking at the other students who had arrived.

Lucas called over to the chef. "I'LL HAVE THE ALPACA SPECIAL PLEASE, WITH EXTRA SAUCE ON THE SIDE!"He then looked out the window again to listen in on what Zion was telling Alitt and the others. He wasn't sure if it was just the way he felt towards her, but he didn't think she was really bad. He wanted to make up for how he messed up the first time talking to her, and wanted to give her a chance before they outcasted her if it was neccessary.

... Is that made for alpacas or with alpacas? Joel couldn't help but wonder.

"Um, I'll just have some salad. Oh, and some water for this guy, please," he said to the waiter, gesturing to Raz.

Back inside the restaurant, another order was put in for Lucas' special. At the same time, someone walked out carrying Max's... dish. Once the lid to the platter was removed, it could be seen inside that there was a large pill bug, curled up into a ball. The waiter hit it with a wooden spoon, causing it to open and show... some sort of yellow substance on the inside. "Enjoy!" The water said, then walked off, proud of his own work.

Shortly after, two more people walked into the restaurant. "Hello!" A rather enthusiastic voice exclaimed. It sounded like a man trying to do his best impression of a woman's voice. The two who had entered were Pacha and Kuzco, thogh Kuzco was wearing Pacha's poncho, along with quite a bit of makeup. The two went to order their food, hoping that Kuzco's terrible disguise would work.

Joel almost did a double take to make sure the special was what he thought it was. As the dish was placed on the table, he silently prayed that the thing wouldn't end up killing Max.

In a bizarre twist, the special actually tasted... decent, at least according to Max. Joel was a bit tempted to try it out as well at this point, but then he decided that he really didn't want to take any chances at the moment.

Rei was about to hop.onto Indy's back...but Raidyn took precedence. Hurrying over, she grabbed him, teleporting him into Stalwart Dawn's sickbay, where Orias helped begin the healing process immediately.

Raidyn

"Ugh..." Raidyn, only able to open his eyes and not move as Orias helped him recover, looked around at his new surroundings. "W-where am I... am I on a ship?"

He was interrupted in his thoughts by the pain in his chest. Even with Orias functioning, he still felt the lingering strain.

Toshi

"I still don't understand. My Cure spell should have healed his entire body. How come he was still in pain..." she asked aloud.

Since Rei had managed to teleport Raidyn back up to the ship, Indy was able to calm down a little bit. He looked at the rest of the group. "Well... I suppose we might as well head up there, too. It wouldn't hurt to look into the Games... Maybe we'll find some information about the Seekers of Light there." He tried to sound serious and professional, but he was secretly interested in participating in the tournament as well. After all, Master Sora had long ago. Maybe it would help him get stronger. "Anyway, let's get moving!"

However, before moving out, Indy heard Toshi voice her concerns regarding her Cure spell. "Don't worry about it, Toshi. Rei took him back to the ship, he'll be fine. Let's get back and check in on him, okay?"

(I'm just going to skip up to the top of the mountain, since I don't think there'd be much all that interesting happening on the way up...)

After a bit of a hike, the group eventually reached the courtyard once again. Indy decided to try to plan something out for the others once again. "So... I suppose that we have time to participate in the Games, if we want to. It wouldn't hurt to join in, and maybe we'll run into someone important on the way." He said. "If anyone wants to join in, I'd be fine with that. We can all head over to the coliseum once we've had a moment to prepare." He informed everyone. "Anyway, I'm going to go check in on Raidyn... We can meet back here in a few minutes to see who all's participating." After saying that, he entered the ship once again and made his way for the infirmary. "Hey, is everything going well here?" He asked as he entered, assuming either Rei or Raidyn would be inside.

Once Max had begun eating his special, Lucas' arrived at his table. It was the same exact disgusting looking dish. The waiters also took Joel's orders, and began to prepare those for him. Meanwhile, Kuzco and Pacha both took a seat next to the old woman and buff man. Somehow, everyone was falling for Kuzco's disguise. Kuzco seemed to be getting impatient in waiting for his food, and went to the back of the restaurant...

Looking up, she nodded. "Everything's good...thankfully. dunno what happened...it was weird."

"The example I listed helped save all of the worlds. That has to count for something, Seeker." He said coldly, clearly displeased with her persistent hatred of Darkness and all who associate with it. "I can think of some examples of why Light may be bad and people still love it blindly without question. Not saying all do, but there are enough." Artemis added, then cracked his neck to the left then the right and rolled his shoulders.

"You may choose to forever hate the Dark, but it doesn't mean you should. Hell, Indy is the most nervous, bumbling yet lovable individual I've set eyes upon and he uses primarily Darkness. It doesn't make people evil and crazy all of the time, you just need to know how to use it and not succumb to it. It's that simple. And I believe the same applies to Light." He explained calmly and seriously, not faltering on his words this time. Maybe it helped not to mention her looks....but they came out on their own...

"As for my trust issues...you'll just have to earn my trust. No betrayal, no insults and...I only ask that you stay committed to a cause. It's your choice which: Us or the SoL. Of course, we'll have to kill you if you choose the latter, but I digress." He went on to say, then looked to the side silently...then looked back at her and chuckled dryly. "Maybe I'll even call you by your name for once. Don't count on it though if you make a mistake. A massive mistake. You'll know what it is if and when you do it, or if you don't, but that's unlikely." Artemis added, not believing she'd make the right decision, especially with her outlook and mindset.

She thought for a moment, pulled her hair out of the pigtails, and flattened it into place to complete her disguise, before walking back into the resturaunt. Stopping in front of the table that Saki had specified, she gave her best friendly smile and greeted the patrons. "Hello, my name is Aello and I will be your waitress today! Can I take your orders?"

With his speed, he went from person to person who were walking through the restaurant, camouflaging himself by mimicking the exact structure and movement of the person while heading to his destination. After hiding behind the last person, Saki smoothly and very quickly made his way to under the table, where he sat motionless with a smile, acting as a toy just like he said.

"Oh, hey, Rei." Indy grinned. "Good to hear everything's okay here." He heard Raidyn speak shortly afterwards. "Yep, it's us." He walked closer to where Raidyn was lying down. "Looks like you took a bit of damage in that last fight... Hope you're better now, though. We're talking about going and getting ready to participate in the Games, and I know you wouldn't want to miss out." He informed his friend. He also turned back to Rei. "Speaking of which... you want to join, too? I mean... I was thinking... maybe... we could see if we could team up...?" He asked, sounding a bit nervous. "I-I don't know if we'd be able to do that, but I know that Master Sora fought alongside Donald and Goofy..."

Allitt seemed to snap after Artemis mentioned her brother. "... Don't bring Indy into this." She gritted her teeth, and tried to keep calm. "I don't trust him one bit. I won't forgive him just because he's family..." If it wasn't for the fact that she knew Zion would probably force her to sit back down, Allitt would have probably gotten up and left right there. She managed to remain calm enough to stay, though.

In the restaurant, the odd pair seemed to be lost in a conversation as Aello approached them. "None of this would have happened if you hadn't turned him into a llama, Kronk!" The woman whispered angrily.

"Don't worry, everything's fine. We'll find him for you, Yzma." The man, Kronk, responded confidently.

"You'd better. I want that llama dead by sunset!" The woman, Yzma, whispered back. She was surprised by the sudden interruption from Aello. "A-ah, yes... Hello!" Yzma began listing off her order, which was incredibly complex. Kronk listened as she did so, debating what to order for himself. He was studying the kids side of the menu, for some odd reason.

Indy looked concerned once again after seeing Raidyn in pain once again. "Hey, what's going on? Shouldn't the machine have healed everything...?" He asked Rei. "Maybe he wasn't healed for long enough... "What do you mean by after effects, Raidyn?"

"Uh... well... in terms of overall health, yeah..." Raidyn said truthfully, as sans chest pains he was feeling fairly refreshed. "But uh... aw man..." Raidyn sat up all the way and crossed his legs over each other, hands resting on his knees.

"Alright this is gonna sound weird, but I'm just gonna spill it..." He began, looking at both Rei and Indy with semi-confident eyes. "You see, I found out that because of my little Thunder magic experiment, the energy I use for super speed is... uh... well its kinda like... uh..." Raidyn was drawing a blank. Long speeches or explanations were not his strong suit. Complex subjects required too much for someone who spent more time training and only studied hard when it came time to read stories about Master Sora.

"Okay okay um..." Raidyn put his hand to his chin for a moment to think, and then a moment later he snapped his fingers. "Oh, I know! So, basically, whenever I use Thunder magic to make me go fast, the magic sort of connects with my soul... like, you know, what keeps me alive... and the more I use it, the more energy I use, it kinda wears it down a bit. A-and if I do it too much, then, uh, it'll, like, overcharge... and it'll like hurt for me to do stuff until it's done... uh, so yeah," Raidyn explained, communicating the situation with the tact of someone about half his age.

Meanwhile Lucas began wolfing down his Alpaca Special. "Ya know, even though this looks disgusting, this is pretty good actually! Also, where's that Lady that was with Pacha going?" He said, as he saw Kuzco in disguise heading off to the back of the restaurant.

Kronk listened as she did so, debating what to order for himself. He was studying the kids side of the menu, for some odd reason.

Aello somehow managed to keep her smile on as she heard the purple lady talk about killing the talking llama emperor, but it did waver for a split second. She would tell the others about this after she took her orders to the kitchen, and she was pretty sure they could deal with it if these two tried anything. Her composure almost fell again as Yzma listed off her order. Aello had one redeeming quality to make up for her tendency to make stupid mistakes and rash decisions. She was a fast learner, never made the same mistake twice, and could memorize random facts pretty easily. She might have been one of the academies best students, if she could pay attention long enough to hear a whole lecture. But this was Inca cuisine, and that was a bit too much. So she quickly decided on memorizing the first word of each part of the order and the details that went with it. She couldn't get the whole thing, but it would be very close. 'I hope Saki is almost done,' she though as she smiled at the two strangers. "Is there anything else I can get for you?" She asked as Purple (as Aello had named her in her head) finished her order.

Zather stood up after the finishing blow to the Guard Armor went through.

"I don't know." He replied to Somrene.

He grinned as he watched the Heartless fade away.

"I think this is my favorite bit."

Annistha had passed to look at the sign ups for the games for Zather's sake before heading up into the ship. She had seen Rei for all of ten seconds before she had evacuated Raidyn. She seemed healed up, but Annistha had to make sure. She arrived in the med bay and gave everyone a smile.

"Hey, how's everyone feeling?" She asked brightly.

Sandrew stood in the back, quiet as usual. He had planned to watch the others participate, he wasn't any good on his own, and there weren't enough people for him to partner with anyone, really... He didn't mind, either. The last fight, though he hadn't done much, tuckered him out quite a bit.

-Rei-

"Of course I'll be your partner, Indy. What, was our discussion in the infirmary last time not predetermined answery enough?" She stuck her tongue out at him.

Then she turned to the others.

"One, let's not use our souls or weaponize our hearts, that's bad. Two...we're fine, Annistha. Thank you, though." She gave Annistha a big hug.

-Zion-

She hovered over and floated behind Allitt, resting her arms on the girls head. It was a silent warning to chill out, as Zion merely floated there. Quiet.

-Artemis Thornton-

Artemis's expression shifted from a calm and serious composure, to one of melancholy and distance as he listened to Allitt's harsh and cruel words about her own brother, her flesh and blood...it saddened him inside as he spoke in a much softer, almost heartwarming/tearjerking tone.

"You should...."

He then cleared his throat and looked at her. "Your issues and pain run deeper than I might have thought...it will take time, but I believe your distrust of him may change, like my distrust of you." He spoke in a matter-of-fact tone, with a hint of softness to it.

Zar slowly woke up, he noticed that he was sitting in a chair next to Joel. "H-How did I get here?" Zar asked to no one in particular. He looked down at his hands, and clinched them into fists. "Why can't I control it?" He asked thinking.
