I've recently watched Inside Out, it was such a good movie! The story was great. It got me thinking though, the movie heavily deals with emotions and memories, which Kingdom Hearts could really use. I mean, there IS a Kingdom Hearts game that's about memories (Kingdom Hearts Chain Of MEMORIES). After googling some thoughts on this subject, I got an idea of what the story could be.

 

In the midst of the battle between good in evil in Kingdom hearts III, Sora gets so caught up in focusing to end the war that his character starts to change for the worse. (Assuming that Vanitas comes back alive) Sora gets in a battle with Vanitas; however, because Sora's change in character, Vanitas wins the battle and, using magic, isolates Sora somehow in Riley's mind. When Sora wakes up  he finds himself in the HQ. The five emotions later find out that Sora is not an emotion, although he looks somewhat like one (I wrote this just because I don't want Sora to be in human form in Riley's mind; In my opinion, I think that will look weird). Joy, being the happy person she is, gives Sora a tour of the area. Looking at Riley's memories with her friends and families, Sora realizes the mistakes he's done and tries to go back to the real world, but than things start to get bad. In the real world, Vanitas starts to feed negative thoughts too Riley; therefore, causing the Unversed to appear in Riley's mind taking away the core memories. After retrieving all the core memories, Sora's keyblade lights up enabling him to return to the real world.

 

Well, that was my idea of Inside Out being in Kingdom Hearts III. What are your thoughts? Thanks for reading!

 

I watched Inside Out recently too!

 

I don't think I want an Inside Out world to be included that way.

I like the idea of the Unversed/Heartless stealing the Core Memories but I would want that world to be just like all the others.

Donald used Donald Magic to enter the world of Riley's Mind and the adventure starts normally.

Sora, Donald and Goofy ask themselves where they are, they find Joy and Sadness outside of the HQ and decide to help them get the Core Memories back.

The lesson Sora learns in the end is that Sadness and Happiness go hand in hand like Light and Darkness. Both are needed.

 

That's my opinion at least.

Im not trying to say this is a bad idea, but if this film was implemented into KH3 or any KH game, Riley should not be involved with it  in any way,shape,or form.

As much as I love my little girl,I do not want Sora and the gang messing up her head, there is no need for her to be in the game.

Inside Out's concept alone is enough to make an entire new world out of it, one that isnt based off the mind of Riley

I honestly want something like the BH6 world, an original story that isnt just a retelling of the first one, and with the flexibility of Inside Outs concept, we can delve into the mind of someone else in KH, not Riley.

Since KH2 made it clear that emotions are tied to hearts, Sora meets Ven's 5 emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, & Fear. Inexplicably Ven's emotions look identical to Riley's because hey, gotta have the actual main movie characters in this to count as a Disney world right?

 

The 6 of them discover the reason why Ven isn't awake yet: the Vanitas half of his heart has also returned & Vanitas' Will is making a last ditch effort to gain control of the whole being again. Vanitas kidnaps Anger, Fear, Sadness, & Disgust; their negative emotional attributes serving to recharge his powers. This leaves Joy as the guest party member, venturing with Sora across the different islands of Ven's mind. Along the way they encounter unverse as the world's enemies, rescue the other emotions who are held at different islands before finally tracking down Vanitas & having a final showdown with Vanitas himself. Possibly the final showdown chronologically, though Xehanort could still pull a time-warped past Vanitas for the endgame.

I've changed the enemies from Unversed to Dream Eaters. Seeing as we are travelling into the mind of a sleeping Ventus, Dream Eaters makes more sense. Unversed were only there to train Ventus to be strong enough to forge with Vanitas. It'd be too painful for Vanitas to summon the Unversed if he is to be a Seeker of Darkness for the final light of light versus dark. 

 

Besides, with the confirmation that Ephemera is a Dream Eater and Nomura hinting that the Dream Eaters at the end of Dream Drop Distance is a foreshadowing, it can be assumed that Dream Eaters are definitely returning with a prominent role within Kingdom Hearts 3.

If we go back to Riley? Nope. If its someone like Ventus then yes. Well the film was fine for what it was but its not that BIG return of Pixar. One of the reasons why i don't want it are the characters, particularly Sadness. Never have i ever hated a character so much until she showed up

You have got to be kidding me, The emotions are what make that movie. For people who are emotionally anxious or unstable about themselves, Inside Out really speaks to them on a personal level. I found Inside Out far more satisfying than the beginning of UP (which as fantastic as it is, it's just a life reel).

Inside has a world on one specific human, their thoughts and islands and their own memories (meaning that Bing Bong couldn't return since he is specific for Riley). Firstly, you should have clarified that you were talking about your opinion of Inside Out in the context of a world.

 

Secondly, Riley's emotions are staple characters. Sure, "Inside Out" states that each character have their own variations of emotions, however, Square Enix can negotiate with Pixar to implement Inside Out. The characters of Riley's emotion are the definitive "Inside Out" characters. Look, if Sora is the Christopher Robin in Winnie The Pooh then an adjustment like this can be made. As far as the "mind" argument goes, Dream Eaters venture in the "realm of sleep" regardless if it's the mind or heart, so, that argument is invalid.

But there's a difference when talking someone's place like Christopher Robin. and going into someones mind as yourself. What are they going to label you as? An Imaginary Friend? And Lastly, i highly doubt that they would pick Inside Out over something much more plausable to include like Monsters, Toy Story,  orBrave

If this is in Vanitas' mind it would be Anger as leader and disgust as second command, with Sadness, Fear, and Joy taking a backseat. Also they would be nothing like Riley's emotions. They would be way more hostile, especially to the group. The only way that the main characters of inside out to be in the game is if Riley's brain (or heart) is the world.

I've already stated that Square Enix would cooperate with Pixar with some sort of negotiation. It's evident your personal hate for the movie is influencing your opinion of its inclusion. Look, if it can't make it then I understand. However, you're acting as though it's not possible at all.

Yeah, I'd be happy with that too. I can imagine what each emotion can provide.

Anger: Fire

Fear: Ice

Disgust: Cure
