I need to get into some more anime, I did google searches but I and prefer the opinions of actual people rather than google results.

I love Hunter x Hunter 2011 and Naruto. I've seen Death Note too, YU-GI-OH and Digimon too. No Pokémon or Fairly Tail or DBZ or One Piece, thank you

I'd recommend Steins;Gate if you are interested in an anime that has great characters and science-fiction. It's one of the few stories of any medium to do time travel well, imo. It is not a particularly long anime (24 episodes, 1 OVA and a film). I can't speak for the dub as I watched it in sub, but I've heard people say it's alright the dub was ok.

But yeah Steins;Gate is a really strong anime that keeps ya guessing for a while what will happen next.

 

I could recommend watching Full Metal Panic (it's a personal favourite of mine), but if you aren't into a Mecha/Military/School Life/Comedy hybrid then it's probably best to give it a miss. Although that said, I wasn't keen on Mecha before I gave FMP a chance, but the strong characters and light-hearted comedy approach kept me watching. That and the action is really good at times.

 

I guess I'm not really sure what to recommend, anime has been pretty hit/miss for a while now. If you have any concrete preference (I see you've mostly listed mainstream anime in your post), I could have a deeper look into what I've watched in the past, but off the top of my head I'll recommend Steins;Gate and Full Metal Panic (all of the series) as those two are my favourites.

Soul eater has a really awesome anime except that its ending is anime only so you'll have to read the manga for the reall ending. Magi is also really amazing imo, i also enjoyed seven deadly sins, kuroko no basket and fate zero. There's a lot out there though not just the well known popular stuff. I say you choose either soul eater or seven deadly sins to start because SDS only have 25 episodes and soul eater has 52 i think

Full Metal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood. Trust me when I say these are a must watch.Also if you liked death note you should try Code Geass

Another is an anime and it's been confirmed a few months ago that the anime is going to get a second season.

since you've seen hunter X hunter i recommend Toriko it's like a mix between HxH and One piece

Go watch code geass(The best anime ever created,you too shall know after you watch the epicness that was code geass,also C.C Best girl) now,you won't regret it(as for dub vs sub,the dub was good and sub was pretty good imo,pick your preference).

I also recommend Steins;Gate but it's better if you play the VN but if you do decide to watch the anime,watch the sub or else you are gonna miss out on MADO SCIENTIST!!

Thank you for you help guys, as soon as I made this thread I ended up watching like the first 10 mins of soul eater and I might watch some more later. I'll try Toriko, Steins  Gate and Code Geass too!

Try Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic and if you like it, watch Magi: The Kingdom of Magic next. I think you'll like it.

Noragami, Btooom!, Parasyte and Ao no Exorcist are really great too.

Judging from the anime you gave us, you seem to prefer action anime. Off the top of my head, you might like

 

• Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works - There's another anime under the same name made by Studio DEEN, but I was recommended against watching it, so make sure you watch the right one if you decide to not watch it on Crunchyroll. I found the anime really fun. Spectacular animation and art direction. The story is a battle royale between seven people who team up with a person with historical impact, so they can claim the Holy Grail, the ultimate wish granter. I found the story is a bit weak overall, but I didn't find myself bothered by it, since the characters made up for that. The main character is a bit of a dumbass at times, but he evolves to a better character towards the end. If you enjoy this anime, I recommend watching Fate/Zero afterwards.
• Parasyte: The Maxim - As a fair warning, there's quite a bit of body gore in this anime, though it doesn't use that as its gimmick. If you don't mind that, I found this anime to be very deep. It starts off with a teenager whose arm is taken over by an alien parasite bent on eating all of mankind, and how the main character lives with it. It talks about the bigger picture about the human race, and what it means to be a human.
• Baccano! - This anime tells its story in a different way from usual. There are three concurrent plot lines going on at the same time, and the anime switches between the three of them at will. You might be mildly confused at first, but after a while you should be able to catch up on what's going on. This takes place in the early 1930s in the Chicago area, rampant with gangs. There are many main characters, each blessed with the power of immortality. 

Between those three, I hope you find something of interest. I see you didn't mention Attack on Titan, so if you didn't watch that, try it, since it's not bad. 

I wuld reccomende Gugure Kokkuri-San if you loking 4 sum comedi in ur anime.

RAINBOW: Nisha rokubou no shichinin - Follows the story of imprisoned juveniles, their pasts and their aspirations and friendships. The series is 20 something episodes long and is great if you are into historical, dark slice of life and so on. I will warn you that it is a bit graphic.

 

Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo - loose adaptation that is 100 times better than the actual book, including fantasy themes mixed with gorgeous art. You follow the story of Albert as his life turns around the moment he meets the Count. Every episode leads you suspended into wanting to see the next and its one of the greatest series I've seen despite being less than 20 episodes long.

 

Mononoke - You follow the medicine seller as he helps people with beings known as Mononoke, vengeful spirits that cannot rest until their story is told. Explores multiple themes and has a unique art style and story. It can be repetitive if you don't have much patience though.

 

Mushishi - If you like Mononoke then you'll like this one. Similar premise as you follow the main character helping people with beings known as Mushishi. Each episode is a different case and a different problem which is resolved in the most unusual ways.

 

Tiger & Bunny - Anime super heroes

 

Death Parade - Its dark and makes you question your morals. To tell you what is about would be spoiling it. Watch the first episode and judge for yourself.

 

Wakfu - French cartoon with English dub on Netflix based on its MMORPG. Follows the story of Yugo and his journey to find out where he comes from when he discovers strange powers. Its a bit slow at first and its full of funny moments but it slowly leads to a all serious plot that absorbs you.

 

Shiki - Dark vampire anime that keeps you on your toes wondering what will happen next. If Hellsing is too bloody this is a toned down version that is based more on suspense.

 

Hetalia - short episodes of 7 minutes or less. Follow the historically accurate / not so historically accurate adventures of the personification of the world's nations.

 

Psycho-Pass - In the future, criminals or latent criminals can be detected by a single scan of their minds, which can tell if they have a possibility of committing a crime in the future or not, lowering the crime rate of the city almost to zero percent. As the newest detective arrives at the Department of Security, she has to be tasked with multiple cases, including catching a criminal whose mind can't be scanned.
