For the first time in 4 years I'm currently replaying Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII on my PSP in preparation for the PS4 port of the original FF7 coming in less than a month. I gotta say it's every bit as great as I remembered. I would love to see an HD remaster on PS4 one day. Perhaps when the FF7 remake nears it's release?

I would imagine that sometime in the near future would make a bundle that includes Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, and MAYBE (A very huge maybe) Advent Children for the PS4.

I have never played it myself, and have heard mostly negative reviews about since because of it's gameplay style, but since it is part of the official FFVII timeline it would be hard to imagine them not trying to re-sell it sometime before the Remake releases.

We've had enough remasters lately. I'd be fine waiting a while until they decide to bring Crisis Core to the PS4. The PSP version still plays just fine.

It would be awesome if the final fantasy vii remake had all the final fantasy vii stuff in it. Like what they did with ffx and x2.

It's one I'd get, but at this rate, I'd prefer it if third party developers took a break from constant remakes/remasters. Square could probably wait a little bit before making a remake for Crisis Core.

A remake is when you rebuild the game from scratch or take it and fundamentally change major parts of it.  A Final Fantasy VII port would be just taking the original PSOne game and having it available digitally on the PS4...which they've done already. What they're doing now is a remake.

 

Second, while that might be interesting, I don't know for sure if they would do that. I mean, it would be welcome, but I wouldn't know if it HAS to happen before VII's release. It all depends on what they feel like doing, and seeing as how the team is busy with VII, I don't know if they would even have time to work on something like that. But who knows?

It is a movie, that is why I said it is a huge maybe.  It would be nice for them to include it in a bundle like that since it would it is part of the outlying FFVII story, but at the same time it isn't necessary because it is a movie that has been released.  It would just be on there purely for convenience for the fanbase if it was included.

They're doing both bro. The old PS1 port releases next month, and then the remake will be out around 2017 or so. The port is what I was referring to.

Guys, don't you think we should at least wait a little while before we start calling Nomura slow on the FFVII remake? There was plenty of staff working on XV, so blaming him alone for what happened isn't accurate. We're supposed to get more news this Winter so I think we'll be pleased with that.
