So if a Final Fantasy X-3 is created one day, it's up to Motomu Toriyama.

So then that means a FFXV-2 is completely up to Tabata, correct?

The company would have to approve it, but it's up to Tabata if it were to happen. But it's doubtful it'll happen since Tabata's already said their next project will be a new IP.

So it's impossible for Nomura to do a sequel to XV? (I know they probably wouldn't approve it after the VersusXIII disaster )

I wouldn't think they would make a sequel for FFXV.

Hmm, this is very interesting!  So, in other words, if the directors of their respective Final Fantasy installments don't give the greenlight, that means that no sequels can be made, huh?  How very interesting!

 

I find this to be pretty fair, since this actually gives the directors the choice of whether or not making a sequel to an established game in the series works or not!  That's pretty cool!
