I have no clue what they reveal in terms of new games (I'd prefer to keep those as surprises), but in terms of games that I think they will talk about:

 

Xenoblade X (Which will hopefully get a decent amount of attention, seeing as how it releases in 3 weeks and is this year's big holiday Wii U game)

 

Mario Power Tennis (Likely a short trailer, since there's not much they can announce for it)

 

Super Smash Bros DLC Fighter(s) (I don't think it's going to relate to the ballot though, they'll probably wait until they can make proper trailers for the ballot fighters)

 

Something related to Zelda's 30th anniversary, whether that be a Twilight Princess HD or some more Zelda U news

 

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon

 

Star Fox Zero

yeah, that's what I meant. It's kinda easy to mix up super Mario brothers and super smash brothers because of how similarity they are worded. 

 

Anyways, I don't think 2 of the three characters that I voted for in the ballot (which is Sora and Luke Fon Fabre) are going to make it in smash, while Lloyd, actually has a good chance of getting in. I will be happy if Lloyd gets in the game if Luke can't get in.

I hope they say something about it, whether or not it is confirmed to be a thing or not. I just hope that they don't leave us in the dark like they're doing with zelda u.

I don't want it, I don't have a Wii U or and DS. The only Nintendo system I had was the original Wii. I just expected that now would be a good time to announce it, rather than next year at E3 when we are past the half-way mark this generation.

The one thing I'm really looking forward to are the results of the ballot. Other than that, I'm just waiting to see what they announce in the direct.

I doubt they will talk about it, but I have been dying to hear more about Bravely Second's localization; they announced it and have never talked about it since.

 

Other than that, I expect to hear about:

 

-Twilight Princess HD since it is pretty much a given at this point

 

-A Smash character announcement that will drop after the direct (Not quite sure if I believe that they will share the ballot results)

 

-Fire Emblem Fates release date

 

-Coverage of the games that are announced that are releasing before the end of the year.

 

-Star Fox Zero news

 

-Explaining their holiday lineup this year.

 

-DLC talk for games like Splatoon and Super Mario Maker.

 

-Other game announcements, although they will probably be lower key titles.

 

-I also expect that there will be some sort of tribute to Iwata.

 

 

This direct won't be anything huge, with Twilight Princess HD being the high point for it.  Hopefully though it will provide the news that many of us fans have been waiting and have been expecting to hear.

Definitely the ballot resaults and some new Mario star collecting game similar to Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy. The Nintendo 64, GameCube, DS and Wii all had at least one, so why not the 3DS?

I'm hoping for Pikmin 4 news!

Super Smash Bros, but not the Ballot winners, as I believe there were already some other characters that Sakurai and his team were making before the ballot was released. I think if anything there will be two characters announced at the max. I, myself, am hoping for the Inkling to get announced as a fighter, that way I can use one of my Splatoon Amiibo that I am getting for Christmas on an actual game because I don't own Splatoon yet. If they don't get announced, then my second choice would be, oh wait it is too obivious to actually say here!

 

And I expect:

 

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam

 

Pokemon Z (come on we are already in its anime in Japan and they are basically just toying with us now!)

 

Amiibo (Cause more are bound to be announce soon enough)

 

Twilight Princess U (a remake of the GameCube version!)

 

DLC for some games other than Smash!

 

eShop titles (maybe GameCube games coming to Wii U? It's the only system not to have games on the Wii U or 3DS that were just ported and not remastered!)

 

 

And what I am unsure about:

 

Splatoon DLC (it seems like they just announce these anymore on a regular basis)

 

New games coming out in early 2016

 

Metroid Prime Federation Force

 

Fire Emblem Fates

I'm guessing we'll be getting Smash Ballot results at this Nintendo Direct, which I'm hoping is the case! Also, I bet it'll be interesting to see what goes on for Twilight Princess HD!
