What are your thoughts on Cloud joining Super Smash Bros.?

Good, now the Death Battle between Link and Cloud can be settled for reals.

I'm going to try and use him as my main character along with Fox since they're both characters I like both of them a lot so I like him a lot

Uh... This is Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. It's not just Wii U.

I dont own a 3DS either...

How about "I don't give a damn because I don't own smash bros"?

Smash bros is just not my kind of game...don't kill me pls.

Yup! He's one of my favorite FF characters and I'm glad he has the honor of representing the FF series in SSB4! X3

 

Of course I still want Sora to get in there if there's a chance, but even if we don't get him, Cloud will still make an excellent main for me. X3

 

Now they have no excuse not to use more KH characters. xDEven if it may not make much sense, it's super awesome!!!!!

 

Actually no, they still have the excuse of either Disney or Nintendo not being okay with featuring KH characters in Smash. Disney is super protective of their property sometimes and Nintendo is understandably weary of doing any business with Disney beyond licensing some of their games. But who knows, minds can change, they may not be as super protective and defensive as they used to be, and perhaps Sora might have a chance to get in, especially if it turns out that he was one of the winners of the ballot. We got to wait and see.

I would have preferred Sora, but having Cloud in Super Smash Brothers is amazing.

I feel like there was a lot more people vocal about Sora, and I feel like we got Cloud instead because Disney didn't allow it. That said, FF7 is being remade so maybe Cloud was legitimately more popular.

Either way, I'm happy with Clouds inclusion and will probably use him a lot.

I'm so hyped for cloud because he proves that ANYONE can be in smash if that character is iconic enough. (let's cross our fingers for sora to be next)

I don't play smash, so I don't particularly care. I might buy a Cloud amiibo for kicks, though.

 

Oh Yeah I completely forgot about those amiibo thingies...

Cloud's amiibo will prolly sell like preheated burning hot cakes on fire with added chilli

The one thing I wish to say about the momentous occasion is this: It's about time Square gets some love on conglomerative titles.  

I like him for play value, (someone to dunk on little macs and falcons). And he looks like a preferrable over ike. Oh, and it gives sora a chance.

He will probably be my new regular, unless sora comes then I'll have two regulars.

The justification for including him in a game of Nintendo characters is pretty thin, which makes him an odd choice to me.

That said, it's another iconic character in a mash up of iconic characters getting to fight each other. No actual reason to complain and I do love the guy.

Like most people have said. He's not my favorite. But damned if I won't be using him all the time. FFVII is still my childhood favorite so...it's on
