So with the new Star Wars movie just around the corner i'm gonna ask what i've always wanted to ask

Why does everyone hate Episode I, II & III?

I'm just gonna say it right away i did not grow with the old Star Wars movies, i was born 1996 three years before episode I was released but i saw episdoe IV, V & VI first and in the right order and i loved them! me and my friends used to play Star Wars on the playground at school we loved Star Wars that much. When i was about 13-14 years old i saw that they were making episode III and my mind was blown, There were 2 more Star Wars movies i haven't seen!? So i went a saw them right away and i loved those as much, granted i was a kid and people might say that i didn't understand what made the movies bad but i recently watched all the movies to hype myself up for the new one and i stil don't see whats bad about them. I've heard that some people think the CGI in the movies were bad and that ruined the movies for them but from what i've seen there are not many part in the movies were the CGI is bad, i've also heard that people think midi chlorians made episode I stupid and i have to agree midi chlorians are REALLY stupid but it didn't ruin the movie for me. And then there is Jar-Jar Binks... i usually agree with the masses here he is a stupid character that didn't need to be in the movie although i think he has his moments, like at Battle of Nabuu were the Gungans are fighting the Droids i thought he was pretty funny in some places but still Star Wars didn't not need a comic relief character. and there is episode II.

I don't really see any problem with it it's just a great movie, the best part for me is the Battle on Geonosis were Yoda, Mace Windu and all the Jedi's drop in to fight i love that seen and seeing Yoda fight Count Dooku was just awesome.

Episode III for me is one of the best in the series just seeing how Anakin slowly truns into Darth Vader was really awesome and made Vader a better character if you ask me. Getting to see The Emperors back story was also really great and it really shows how much power he has and why he becomes The Emperor and to see him fight Yoda was just mind blowing for me. The battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin is one the best fights in the series for me, the music, the setting everything was just great about and it explains why Vader needs his mask and armor to live. Overall it's a great movie but there i one thing i don't like about it and that is General Grievous and that's mostly becasue there is no back story to him, he's just like there as the Droid leader and nothing more.

So this why i like the movies, i liked seeing how the world looked before The Empire took over, i liked seeing Yoda in his "Prime" and i liked seeing how Anakin became Darth Vader. I'm don't think these movies are better the episode IV, V & VI in fact far from it but they are not bad movies and they contribute much to the world of Star Wars but hey these are just my opinions but i'm just tired hearing people say that the new movies suck when they in reality don't, they have there bad moments but they don't suck. there were also a lot of things i didn't bring up like Jango Fett, The romance between Anakin and Padme because i didn't feel like i need to since i don't think those scenes are neither bad or amazing they are just good.

Sorry for my bad English I'm not very good at spelling or punctions

This is the end of this post now i'm going to get back to being hyped about episode VII

Edit: i accidently tagged this as music but is should be tagged as movie -.-

I love all six movies equally. They're all Star Wars, and they're all fantastic movies. Each one built up an amazing world and story, and I love them for that. Episode VII will be just as amazing, too.

Episodes 1-3 are generally viewed as wasted potential. Anakin's depection in the prequels didn't fully live up to the grand vision of what some thought Vader's origins should have been. I personally found him hard to like, particularly in Ep. II. The way the romance in Ep. II was handled felt stiff and forced.

Now, I'm not in the "hate the prequels" camp as they had some good points, like Ewan McGregor, Ep. III did have a good spiral for Anakin's descent into darkness, and it changed how light saber battles could be done.

The prequels are decent, but some think they could have been fantastic, thus a waste of potential.

First of all, get ready to be murdered by Star Wars fans.

Secondly, I agree with you. Episode III is my favorite in the series as well. Just because Episode I sucked doesn't mean the rest of the prequels do. I mean, I have seen people hate all of the prequels JUST because of Jar Jar Binks.

I like all 6 Star Wars movies. My problem with the prequel is that Anakin's downfall could have been written much better, but I still enjoy them,Episode 3 is my favorite Star Wars movie.

i guess some people have various reasons for hating those movies. whether its the use of more CGI than practical effects, the story in general, the acting, etc. personally i haven't seen any Star Wars movies (although i do want to watch them all at some point), so i can't really say if i love them or hate them.

I do think they could have done some things better in the prequels but they're not bad. Revenge of the sith is my favorite one of the sequels and my second favorite of the six movies.Hopefully with the new movie people will be more open minded.

I'm going to put up the shield here and say that I like Jar Jar and think he was the best part of that movie.  He made me laugh if that's any explanation.  I need therapy - I admit that.  I'm also not real Star Wars fan.  I admit that too.  Out of the movies I like Episode I the best although I haven't seen any of them in like 6 years.  I barely remember what happens in IV and VI, and V I haven't seen in 20 years mostly because I fell asleep within the first ten minutes.  You can blame Hoth for that.

THANK YOU!!!

Seriously, the prequels get so much hate, but honestly, I think the prequels are excellent movies that tie in nicely to the Original Trilogy! I love all 6 Star Wars films, with Episode III being my most favorite because it was the darkest entry in the series! I thought the prequels did well, but, you know how it is with people! They'll always complain, but hey, if there werent complaints, there wouldn't be any fun debates on the series, ya know?

I grew up with Star Wars, constantly watching the Original Trilogy on my cassette player, and watching the Prequel Trilogy as well! The only film in the series I actually saw in theaters was Episode III, so yeah, it's been exactly 10 years since I saw a Star Wars movie on the big screen! That's gonna change with The Force Awakens, which I'll be seeing right when it releases, God willing! Gahh, the hype! Ahem, but yeah, I've been a lifelong Star Wars fan, and going into The Force Awakens, there's going to be tons of feels swelling up inside me! This film is going to be amazing!

AND I'M GREATLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING KYLO REN IN ACTION! Though judging by my icon, I think you could all tell. xD

Need a flame shield?

Meh. I loved all the movies equally, but some lines in the prequels just made the characters sound mechanical.

“So have you, grown more beautiful I mean. For a Senator, I mean.”

...

Need a flame shield?

Yes, that would be helpful.
