Yes. This is a goodbye thread. And no, not a flimsy one. I'm serious leaving. Never to come back. This is partly my fault, but it is mostly the tyrants fault. Yes, I said tyrants. You can assume who I am talking about. if you guess right, good for you.

 

Because of them, or should I say, the majority of them, a lot of shit has happened. And I mean a lot. Stuff that doesn't even necessarily affect me, but affects people I consider my friends. And people I don't even talk to. I could go in-depth about this, but thats not going to change anything. This thread will be most likely deleted or moved so the public can't view it, so people will be wondering what the hell happened to SK3?

 

Or will they even care? If I hadn't signed on this site for a year, how many of you would actually give a shit? Close to none. How many people give a shit now? Close to none.

 

The only mods that took the time to go over and discuss things with me when I did wrong, or when I had problems, were Cricket and Cellar Door. I respect and admire them for this, and I want to thank you both now for helping me with stuff.

 

 

People who abuse their powers....they do exist on here..Just saying. Won't say names, but you guys could probably figure out who I'm talking about.

 

 

But this leads on to another reason of my leave. People in general here. I'm sorry, I'm just not a people person. And when I see hypocrites bitch and complain, and troll, it pisses me off. And they keep doing it, and they keep doing it, and they keep doing it. Sorry for my language. Its just that stuff like this gets to me. Very much so. Anyways, last words.

I just want all of you to think for a moment. Not trying to persuade, not trying to put down. But just think for a moment. How has this site changed over the course of a few months? Why has it changed?

 

You can posts your answers if you want, idk. Considering only two people replied to this thread, the rest of this website doesn't give a shit, as expected. A main reason why I'm leaving/left...

 

My answer: More people have started to come in. More people that break the rules constantly. These people are the main reason behind the change. Why? If it wasn't for them, the punishment system wouldn't have changed. Am I right or wrong here? But the thing is..this new system is not a good one. If someone breaks the rules, you'll (when I say you, I am referring to you, moderators, if you even bother to read this) still have to do the exact same thing you did before the Warning system was implemented. You still have to move threads, delete posts, etc...with an addition of having to give the user a warning. You say this makes moderating easier. I can't say if it does or not, since I am not a moderator on this site, nor will I ever be one. But this system has many people disgruntled, including myself, especially when people get warnings for knit-picky situations.

 

Yes, it was my fault that I got the warnings I've got. But sometimes it is close to impossible to find similar threads. My first warning was because I made an "useless post". This is something that shouldn't even be included in the warning system. Everybody has their opinion, so if one person found my post "useless", what about other people? What if my post was actually useful? Meh, I can go on forever about this.

 

Conclusion: Things have changed around here, and not for the best. Hopefully, things will change, and people will be happy again. And not just a select group of people, everybody...

Hmm, I was gone for about 3 months on this site, and when I returned, I was also ashamed at how things had undergone. Who knows? Maybe I might leave this site as well. The nuisances are growing.

The punishment system didn't change. Just they way they warn. Before they would give out warnings, 3-5 warnings meaning they get banned. But the mods lost track of who they warned and ect. So the warning system does make it easier.

There's a search bar to look for similar threads and you could even ask one of the staff members to make sure.

I understand about not being a people person, I use to be like that. Sad to see you go.

The thing that people seem to forget is: things change over time. A system of trial and errors occur, I don't see why the blame is fully on us. I actually feel quite offended by this, when we all do so much for you and the others. If you can understand, some of us go through hard times and fall into a slump and so does everything in life, it all JUST happens. Things change and get bad/good and then people get accustomed and adapt, it's all about change and how WE feel can help you all, if you all want to know, with the old warning system, people were getting away much more with trolling and hurting others, with this new system it has ACTUALLY helped us respond faster to situations. By the way, finding similar threads takes a few keywords, and we do it ALL the time, why not just try to help out a little and search through some pages, I mean the search system is there to help...?

You receive warnings because maybe you didn't have the time to read the rules, and maybe that is what makes all the rest of you "disgruntled?" When you read the rules, ask yourself before you post, "I wonder if this goes against rules?" If you doubt, then do not post, ASK one if us first if you are UNSURE.

 

Useless posts are those that ARE not relevant to the thread or leads the thread off-topic. They also are posts that are completely unnecessary, if they offend others, or just plain silly and random.

 

If you have a problem with someone, KEEP it private, handling these matters in public is unnecessary and downright disrespectful, not only to you, but to the others on the forums as well, don't point others out trying to make yourself the bigger person or the one being targeted. Btw, this site is still pretty small and yes it will grow popular overtime, so MAYBE that is why it is changing, I mean we can't just block out new people to join, whether they are "noobs" like you say or old members coming back, this is welcome for anyone, UNTIL you report and let us know who is being disrespectful and not willing to listen.

I said its the system. I have a big problem with the system. I don't see how or why anybody would take offense to something not concerning them. I haven't pointed out names because I'm not that kind of person. I'm not going to put anybody on blast in this thread, so I don't know why anybody should have reason to take offense..

 

All I am doing is posting my point of view, and my opinion. And reasons why I am leaving. These last few posts are almost the EXACT reason I am leaving. Nobody bothers to read everything I say, and they decide to get angry about it.

I have an extreme case of anger at certain things. I have recently talked with Cellar Door and CodedbyDays about this situation. If any other staff members want to talk to me, that is fine. I still feel the need to leave, just because of all of the problems that have occurred. I do not feel that this is the right place for me.

and it's not just you, sk3. it's several other people getting angry just because of warnings & stuff & making them leave. without these new rules, this site would be a disaster. it's just all about trying to make things better for everyone, not just a few people...
