1) So, what do you guys think? Will the sea witch be back in KH3? She has already been killed 3 times, but always finds a way back and we saw in KH3D that Sora and Riku only defeated her, not really finished her.

 

2) Will Maleficent be a major threat again not only to Sora and company, but also to the worlds, just like KH1?

3) Could Mizrabel (from Castle of lllusion and Epic Mickey), who bears a striking resemblance to Maleficent, make an appearance in KH3, perhaps as an agent of the evil fairy herself or something like that?

Ursula is "dead". The Ursula you see in 3D is called "Phantom Ursula", making her a facsimile created by Yen Sid for the sake of the Mark of Mastery Exam. Not saying she could never be brought back again, but at this point it would be really redundant and I would urge against it.

 

Well of course Maleficent is going to be in KH3. After all that talk about how she's going to get the Book to rule all worlds it would be a waste not to include her.

 

Mizrabel is an interesting idea, but I honestly have no clue as to her chances. It could go either or, but I doubt she would just willingly follow Maleficent's whim like that, considering how they are of equal status. She would make an interesting solo villain though. I will point out however that aside from Maleficent she bears a striking resemblance to the Evil Queen from Snow White.

I highly doubt Ursula will return. she was reduced to a tutorial boss in 3D so I doubt she would be much of a threat now. as for Maleficent, she has to be important because she's going after the Book of Prophecies. for Mizrabel, i don't know because i never played Epic Mickey

Nope, she was referring to Yen Sid. There was nothing to indicate that it was Xehanort who contacted her. if anything, Xehanort was never factored into the equation when it came to the exam. Yen Sid is the only way it makes any sense, since she's there for no reason, was brought about by a man for the sake of a test, and vanishes without a trace at no consequence afterwards. 2) Yeah. Gaston died in X/UX and the Old Hag died in X/UX as well. Actually, Gaston and the Old Hag, drew out a Heartless for you to defeat. As for them, they died how they died in the movie. As for the BBS Old Hag, I guess she died already prior to Aqua's visit. (Or not....?)

1. i feel like we've fought her so many times that the fight has lost it's meaning. it doesn't help that DDD just throws her into the tutorial for no good reason. 

 

2. (i was being sarcastic in case that didn't come across.) i know that Maleficent was much more threatening in KH1. that is very obvious. at this point in the series though it's very hard to imagine her suddenly being a threat again when the much more threatening Xehanort has taken over the roll of the series' big bad guy. Maleficent just can't hold a candle to him at this point, and DDD helps to drive that point home by giving her a minute of screen time where she does nothing of value to the plot.

 

3. If they could make it work then sure, go for it. Even thought Pete is her second in command, I wouldn't mind him getting ditched by Maleficent and then have him working on his own to take over the worlds or what not. He wouldn't be a serious threat of course because....well...it's Pete. A running gag, at best.

as for the journal data it does seem fairly useless outside of what happened to it in Re:Coded. i mean it's served it's purpose and now it's done. and in the context of the cutscene in DDD there's no good reason why Maleficent wants the data besides the fact that she wants to take over digitized worlds which is really pathetic.

It's hard for me to think. On the one hand, she is pretty much a conglomerate villain, with bits of inspiration from Maleficent, the Evil Queen, and just most "evil witches" in general, made specifically for a Disney video game (or was she in the original Castle of Illusion for Genesis and the remake as well?) that is already a mix of various Disney movies anyway, so in a sense the whole point of her concept is to be a bit of a throwback DIsney villain.

 

On the other hand, she would certainly be interesting as an antagonist all on her own, as putting her into Maleficent's fold, at least I feel, would seem kind of redundant, you'd essentially have "two Maleficents". I feel either having her as a solo villain (with or without her own band of villains) or have her as a rival against Maleficent would make for a much more interesting use of her character status.

 

I guess the main point here is that regardless of what I or anyone thinks, it's ultimately up to Nomura and the team to decide on who they want to get in and how they would work with the story. Most things Disney I'm pretty into anyway and Nomura tends to share a lot of my tastes as far as "iconic DIsney" goes, so I'm usually fine with any creative choice he makes in the games (unless Nicolas Cage is there for no reason, lol). So if he wants to include Misrabelle in anything, then I say it would likely be awesome and a good use of her character.

I'd like to see maleficent in Kingdom Hearts with the style of the last movie. But a few things worried me with this movie... Angelina Jolie make a good

performance but making the mistress of evil "good" ? This is not the vision I have of maleficent

 

imagine the story of maleficent in Kingdom Hearts III.Aqua meets her in the enchanted dominion, and speak about the power of love and maleficent tell her the power of darkness is much greater.

Mizrabel is in Castle of illusion, but it's the phantom blot(or shadow blot) that is the villain in epic mickey, and in that games lore Mickey creates the blot by accident.

 

There are multiple variations of him, but the one from Epic Mickey would probably work best as part of Mickey's past.
