I don't really mind of Japan getting first serve. At the time, it's just like Pokemon, before they started worldwide releases of two games so far. 

 

I just see it like Japan are the ones that makes the games, they get it first. Then whoever is second, next, and last gets it. 

 

Even in worldwide releases, Japan still get it first, and whoever is next, corresponding the time zones of the world. Night turns to the very day of the game release. (I'm not sure if I said it right. If I'm wrong, correct me.)

it's not just Square that does it, almost other Japanese company does it, Atlus (especially for Europe, they get their games so late), Bandai Namco, NIS/NISA, etc. and i don't really mind it because that's how it has been for a long time and im used to it. and like RikuFangirl2008 says, i see that Japan makes the games so they get it first.

Honestly are you saying that if you had the choice to pick if it comes out the same day or week of the japan ver. instead of 6 months later you would be like whatever? Plus its not just the releases that are the problem, half of the kh fan base is in Europe and the U.S. yet they don't really listen to us. It was like they started to care with the two new secret bosses that they gave the U.S. copy but then they just didn't after the FMs.

we won't know unless we say something. plus, if thats the case then they can just hold out on both of them and do more testing or ,since we are in the ps4/xbox one era, they can release a patch to fix unforeseen seen things as long as we say something and not except it.

I think making the japanese version doesn't take as much time so it would suck for japan that KH3 would be ready to launch but SQUARE would hold back the release just so the rest of the world can have it at the same time.Imagine if Kingdom Hearts 3 is about to come out tomorrow but SQUARE ENIX annonced ''Oh the game is delay to next month because we found a game breaking bug in the brazilian version of the game sorry'' that would totally suck,if a game is ready for a country then they should release it for that country.

i don't mind a delay between releases so long as it's not something crazy like 9 months or even a year.

I don't mind it, especially now that we live in a world where patches are a thing and any issue can be fixed at any time.  If you can't hold yourself back from being spoiled that is your problem.  I spoiled myself with DDD and I had no one else to blame but myself.  Personally since the last KH release, which was DDD, I have gained interest in many other game franchises so there will no doubt be something else for me to play and focus on while I wait for KH3 to get localized. 

 

We are starting to see more WW releases, but I don't think there will ever be a day when all AAA games receive that treatment.  WW releases are not something we are entitled to as gamers, it is a privilege that the publishers offer us   That being said, KH3 (not 2.8) will likely receive a WW release or same week release as it seems localization teams are working closely with it.

 

People on KH13 are usually very respectful when it comes to spoilers for any game and the moderators do a great job of keeping on top of it.

This is one thing I might disagree with Jared on. While I understand this might piss fans off, people need to look at it this way:

While we are consumers, Square Enix as a company in terms of business decisions does not have to cater to every need we have.

You see an example of this in many cases, where Square chose to delay Final Fantasy XV multiple times over the course of about ten years because of the shaky

status of development for many of its stages.

 

To be honest, I have no problem with waiting for Unchained X for several reasons.

 

1. It's a mobile game. I'm going to be completely blunt. I hate mobile games, and I don't care if it's Kingdom Hearts or not. Looking at examples of the KH U_X gameplay, nothing looks too superb to me and the combat is definitely not as good as it might have been as a console game. (An exception to my mobile game rule would literally only be Fallout Shelter.)

 

2. Is waiting really that bad? According to some people, they've been waiting 10 years for KH3. They say this as if, for 10 years, they'd been waiting for only KH3 and that there have been no other KH games in the span of 10 years. This really gets on my nerves, especially since KH3 was only officially announced in 2013, which would make the wait about more than 2 years, which I think is more than a satisfactory wait for KH3 if it means that it's a good game.

 

3. Localization has always been a problem for Square Enix with Final Fantasy mobile games, for example. I don't see them changing themselves anytime soon, so why expect them to?

 

Look, I'm looking forward to Unchained X's story and KH3. The wait has never really gotten to me for any KH games, and it just seems to me that there's nothing to be upset about.

 

If you want to argue my opinion, feel free to. I just felt I needed to share my part.

Yes I would be like "whatever". Like I said, Japan will get first serve worldwide release or regular release. It's kinda the same gist, but worldwide is much faster than waiting a number of months to get ours. Just waiting a number of hours in the same release day.

maybe thats fine with you guys but its not for me, as someone who has invested so much of my life to the games, it being the first game i've ever played and just to have the final part of the saga spoiled just on a whim just because some jerk felt like it would break me on the inside. Plus avoiding to get spoiled would mean staying away from sites like kh13, youtube, twitter, facebook, twitch, etc. for more than 4 months and i'm pretty sure most people can't do that. heck, i almost got a star wars spoiler just by looking in the comments of a video thats not even related to star wars. There is a diffence between this game and 3D, 3 is the final part of the saga and to some its might as well be the last game because they are done after 3. There is and will be more hype for KH3 than 3D because everyone have been waiting for it, so people will start to talk.

My main fear is spoilers. I know me, and me can't keep her curisotiy in check for ten seconds without spoiling huge plot points for herself.

 

Aside from that it's been at least ten years since KH2 came out. Everyone has been waiting super long for this game and it would be much appreciated if they made a worldwide release instead of just releasing it in Japan and releasing it overseas several months to a year later. We've seen how long it's been taking for them to get Unchained X outside Japan, and I really don't want such a huge gap in between releases for KH3.

Cynical makes a good point!  I mean, okay, we've had the KH games release on Japan first and then worldwide much later, and well, we've been okay with that till now, and when KH3D rolled around, I decidedly chose to not roam the internet for long, cuz I knew I'd get spoiled on the game by accident!  But yeah, maybe Square will improve on this and release KH games at the same time worldwide starting from the next saga!  Or maybe KHIII could be their first international, worldwide KH release?  I dunno, but we'll get there!
