Can you guys give me a reason to NOT worry about other people's opinions and how valid my opinions are because lately I've been trying to take opinions lightly, but deep down it still kinda hurts honestly. I've been doing much better taking people's opinions at the start of this month than my 2 years(about to be 3) on this site combined

A reason not to worry about other people's opinions and how valid yours are? Everyone is different. Other people may not see it this way, but to you, your opinions should always be valid because they are YOUR opinions. No matter what people say, don't doubt your opinions and you shouldn't doubt other people's opinions either because they have as much right to have an opinion as you do.

Well, just take into account that opinions are just that, opinions!  Don't let anyone's opinions on things influence you negatively, ya know?  Just take them for what they are, and keep pushing forward!  I'm sure you'll get the hang of it! If you have an opinion on something, that opinion is yours, and no one can make you cast away that opinion, ya know?

I could give you many reasons. First of all, there is a difference between an opinion and criticism. Criticism is a statement that either finds something pleasing or displeasing. Basically, movie reviews and game reviews are criticisms. An opinion is something someone thinks of and says out loud. The discussions we have on here on possible worlds and more for KH3 are opinions; it's what someone thinks. Now, second of all, everyone has an opinion. It may sound dumb, it may sound smart. It may be dumb, it may be smart. If they have a dumb opinion over video games (like what you have mentioned in your status once), why do you let it bother you and how could it in any way concern you if the opinion isn't about you? Why do you get so steamed up over something so insignificant? Why does one think matter to you so much if it has nothing to do with you whatsoever? Think about it, doesn't this all sound insane? If the opinion is criticism and you asked for one's opinion over something you have done and want them to give feedback, that's a different story, but you can't be paranoid about any possible ill will when someone gives the opinion you ask for. If you can be swayed so easily by mere insignificant opinions, then you will not survive in life. You'll be a man who built his home on sand. When flooding came, the house was ruined. If you have a foundation and do not sway to human opinion, then you're the man who built his home on rock. When the flooding came, the house stood strong and the water could not reach it. That's the secret to life and part of that is maturity. Part of growing up is doing what I just said about the houses built on sand and stone. You don't let people dictate what you do or what you think. You ask for feedback for help, not to hear what you want. If that's the purpose, then don't bother because you will NOT hear what you want all the time. Keep a solid foundation and people's opinions won't matter.

My advice: take it in stride! Who cares what others think? Opinions are opinions, and everyone has them. Just don't let the haters get to you. After all, haters gonna hate.

It's easy to take others' opinions to heart at times, but it all boils down to how convicted you are of your own opinions.  There are so many opinions out there, partly because we are all different and view things in our own unique light.  Keeping this in mind may help to not feel so disturbed by others' opinions.  Many will agree with your viewpoint, whereas others may see things drastically different.  There is nothing wrong with that and it is quite fine if you feel differently about your opinion.  Just know that not everyone will agree and that your opinion is still valid if you *think* it is.  It sounds like you may be lacking confidence in your opinions if differing opinions are bothering you, which was the case with me back in the past.  Trying to talk with people who share the same opinion may also help to solidify your own, though no one is right or wrong when it is a matter of opinion and everyone should respect you.
