Do you think the North American version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ will have more downloads than the Japanese version?

 

I'm not getting the game, so I don't care.  What about you guys?

Probably not. KH isn't nearly as big in North America as it is in Japan; most people just really don't care.

In terms of people? Don't know. Obviously we have a larger population, but you don't always see such heavy investment into mobile titles for these kinds of franchises, so the attachment rate will be lower.

 

That said, it might help to know how many downloads the Japanese version actually has =P.

Are you kiddin'? With all the hype and troll they have been doing I think it will! All Americans and not americans will crash play store and app store once the app appears there!

Absolutely not. Not big enough here, and we didn't get a release date until like 3 days ago. To be honest, if I didn't check this site every once in awhile I probably would've missed out on the first few days of Unchained X.

LOL what?! The only KH game that sold more in japan was BBS, the series is most popular in the states.

I'm pretty positive that the NA version of Unchained X will have significantly more downloads than the Japanese version, ya know?  Because as far as I know, most of the KH fanbase stirs the strongest in NA, (And Europe, of course. ) So yeah, taking that into account, and taking into account that there's at least a good 50% of KH fans that have smartphones or tablet devices, and yeah, Unchained X's gonna have a healthy dose of downloads!

It won't be proportional at all, you can't compare the size of Japan and NA or the number of citizens. Then again, many people downloaded the Japanese version, and this is people from all over the world. European and Aussie will probably wait until it's released there, so the only ones getting downloads in the NA version is NA people (and a few others). Also, there isn't that much people interested in the game here, while in Japan the game existed in PC for a long time and they even made a commercial advert about it.

 

To make it short, no, NA won't have more downloads than Japan.

The population of Japan is pushing somewhere along the lines of 127 Million, and the state with the highest population in America is California, with 38 million.

There you go, if you count other states like New York into the equation, you'll average to more people downloading the application in comparison to Japan. Remember, the entirely of Japan is not downloading Kingdom Hearts Unchained X either so there's that to remember aswell.
