Hey there everyone! I just thought that it might be a good idea to make a dedicated Pokemon Sun and Moon discussion thread for all the news and discussion that will eventually come out about these games. Feel free to use this thread to your heart's content for discussion and news you pick up on.

 

To start with however, only moments ago, we got news from Serebii.net on the CoroCoro scans that were leaked this month.

 

This first scan shows the two box arts blurred out with text saying that you cannot see the Pokemon, there will be massive news to be out next month

 

This next piece of information confirms to us that Magearna/Magiana is in fact, like we all expected, a Fairy/Steel type.

 

That is all the news we have for now.

When did the sun involve fire? It's just a gaseous ball of heavy elements like gold, uranium, and components of the iron group which are also used daily on earth to make steel. I don't know why everyone thinks fire when they think sun. Scientifically speaking, the sun has no association with fire and with a metal make-up that includes many of the metals that are used to make steel, Solgaleo better fits the theme of Sun by being Steel rather than fire because the sun isn't a ball of fire, its gas, tons of gas and metals and because of nuclear fusion we have the heat the sun gives off.

 

Also light, and Steel is basically pseudo-Light type anyway.

 

Why do English localisers feel the need to go over the top with move names? Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam just sound silly compared to Meteor Drive and Shadow Ray.

Meh. Only liked about 2-3 of them. Looking to be like 5th gen in terms of likable/dislikable mons, but I'll wait till the whole roster is out for full judgement.

 

Also the fish is going to give me nightmares...

Man, these new ones really sucked. Like, only one can really be liked here. I was laughing so hard when Etika went over them during the leak.

Really looking forward to Sun and Moon. I love everythimg about it so far and the battle theme sounds like a FF4 track which is a huge bonus for me
