*This is my super secret project I was telling everyone about*

 

 

The year is 2025. Due to the high spike in violence during the second decade of the twenty first century, it was decided that video games were to blame. As a result worldwide video games became illegal. All gaming companies were forced to shut down, and the Internet became censored.

This didn't stop the gamers. All throughout the world safe havens were established, known as ‘Hubs.’ Hubs were small hidden arcade establishments where gamers far and wide could come and enjoy themselves. Video games of all different types were there, from arcade classics to console games. But the biggest game of all… was Final Clash.

In an effort to have their legacies live on, before the gaming industry shut down every company teamed up together and collaborated on one final game. And that game was Final Clash. It is a game that contains every single video game character ever created and combines a wide variety of game modes, genres, content and gameplay for everyone to enjoy. Such a game was legendary and it reached every single Hub. Every gamer plays it. It is the best game ever… But for some, it's something much more.

There is a secret to Final Clash. Only half of the game is playable by a regular gamer.

The other half is something much more.

In the year 2020, there was a leak saying that the government created a program called Evo, which granted a user the ability to control any wireless technology in the entire world. It was assumed to be false, but in fear of such a program existing the makers of Final Clash decided to create a program of its own… A counter to Evo in hopes of protecting the world from falling into the wrong hands. And they hid this program inside of their final game.

The program is called Beta. What this program does is detects any Evo virus and allows a series of users, known as Beta Players to electronically attack the Evo virus in the form of a level in Final Clash to take it out. The developers disappeared, but the program was not lost.

 

Special people were chosen to fight the battle of the Evo virus. Those who were chosen are given a special device called Synths that looks just like an earpiece… But what it does, it connects the user’s consciousness to technology. Here, users are able to maintain constant contact with their partners in Final Clash and work with them. The Evo virus uses this technology as well, although there have been rumors of this technology being rigged by the government to control Evo Players and their partners in Final Clash.

 

The world has an unknown future. With this fight between the Betas and the Evo, it is unknown who will win and who will fall. What side are you on?

 

Classes:

Beta Players- Those who were secretly chosen by the developers to utilize the full program of Final Clash to protect the world. With the developers arrested or missing, Beta Players who were chosen stumble upon their Synths one day with their Beta Partner to guide them on their journey.

 

Beta Partners- Video game characters in Final Clash. They are assigned to a partner by their creators. Unfortunately, they do not have information on their missing developers as well. They communicate with their Players constantly through the Player’s Synth, which is connected to the brain. The pact that a Partner forms with their Player is considered an unbreakable bond.

 

Evo Player- Those who were chosen by the government to serve them by will or otherwise. Those who are held against their will have their Synths manipulated to have full control of their consciousness. This is known to cause severe emotional damage if not handled carefully. Some say that the government isn't who is behind the Evos or the Virus.

 

Evo- Video game characters who are partnered to an Evo player. Like Beta Partners, Evos are connected to their Player via Synth. Evos are mostly comprised of video game character who are corrupted by the Evo virus. It is rare for a character to willingly become an Evo, as the Evo virus will obliterate the Final Clash world and eradicate the existence of video games.

 

NPC- Video game characters who do not have a Player. Many of them are warriors assisting the Beta Players and their Partners in the Final Clash world. Others are corrupted by the Evo virus to serve as henchmen for the Evos and their Players.

 

Important Terms:

Synth- Synths are a special technology developed by the Developers to give gamers a revolutionary experience in gaming. Originally before the fall of videogames, it was designed to assimilate players into the many worlds of videogames. The future of gaming if you will. They are connected to the brain and is sometimes even said to give gamers a spiritual connection to their games. Only a prototype was developed but never completed. Once the Evo Virus was created, the Developers rebooted the project and created a finished copy that acts as a communicator and access point into the world of Final Clash. These were given to unknowing Players before the Developers disappeared or were arrested.

 

Evo Virus- A dangerous virus developed by what is said to be the government. It is modeled after the videogame world and allows those who utilize it to be able to control any technology in the real world. Power outages could be created, nuclear plants could melt down, utter chaos. This virus can also corrupt videogame characters into Evo- agents of the virus.

 

Rules:

No character duplicates. (Only one Roxas, etc.)

As of right now, only one player and one partner/NPC per person. (I may change this before we start)

You are also allow to pair up your character with a fellow roleplayer. Feel free to.

You may be any videogame character but please nothing outrageous.

Personality: Roxas is short-tempered, aggressive, blunt and stands his ground, He can be arrogant, confident, and cocky. However when he is with his friends in good company, he can be happy, cheerful, kind, and at ease. He's somewhat smart, and is rather tough. He loves to pick on his little brother at times, however when his family is threatened he will do whatever it takes to protect them.

Bio: Roxas lives in the world of Final Clash along with his fellow friends. All was peaceful at the time of the game’s creation. He would excitedly wait to be picked by one of the many players to have fun with them. But everything changed when the Evo Virus attacked. Fellow Characters he was friends with grew corrupted and many iconic places in the world turned into nothing but a barren wasteland. Roxas was guard those who couldn't defend themselves when he was given a purpose: make a pact with the player and put a stop to the Virus once and for all. Now he is his partner’s faithful companion, going to great lengths to do whatever he can.

Bio: The son of a gaming legend, who somehow became apart of this crazy mess that is Final Crash. He didn't search for this life, but he did wind up in it, so it is that case that he doesn't like to talk about his past or his problems to anyone. He is basically a lone wolf on his past, but he does look forward to the future so he does get along with a lot of different people. He also has found a deep bond between himself and his partner, but Damon is the only one who has opened James's heart.

Bio: A regular Lucario who was programmed into Final Crash, however has since been named Damon by James. Damon is a regular Pokemon with regular moves and abilities, being in his case Justified. He has a serious nature, but also likes to relax. For some reason, this Pokemon has gained the power of telepathy and is able to talk to other video game characters, and James. Other than that, he is just a regular Pokemon who was created into the world of Final Crash just like every other video game character.

So, just as a recap, Players are people in the real world who communicate to their Characters, who are AIs in the game world.Also, as long as the character has been in a video game, they're OK, right?

Name:  Tyler Manta

Occupation:  Delivering packages

Appearance:  Light-brown skin, short black hair, brown eyes, red short sleeved shirt, red jeans with white lines running down the sides, and red sneakers with white lines on the top.

Personality:  A generous and kind man who would help out people in trouble, especially friends.  He prefers to avoid violence and conflict if possible, but isn't afraid to hold his own in a fight.  He also likes a good challenge and has a tendency to be a bit competitive.

Bio:  As far as he could remember, Tyler loved to play videogames.  He would play them so often that he'd spend entire nights just to finish a couple of levels.  Anytime something in real life bothered him, Tyler would make himself feel better by playing a game.  There was nothing else in the world that made Tyler feel so alive or gave him so much joy.  When he found out videogames were declared illegal, he was devastated.  He thought his life as a gamer was over.  But one day Tyler discovered a Hub in his hometown.  He was delighted that games were still around.  Tyler vowed he would defend this paradise, the other gamers, and his favorite game Final Clash.

Weapons:  The twin blades in appearance and the Twilight Bracelet.

Abilities:  Repth:  Magic that heals injuries (or HP).  Rip Teyn:  Magic that heals status ailments.  Gate Hacking: With the Twilight Bracelet, Kite can hack into gates to enter protected or restricted areas.  Requires virus cores.  Protect Break:  A state where attacking can crush protection placed on foes.  Effective on bugged data entities that have infinite HP.  Data Drain:  An ability where Kite can absorb a targets' data.  Removes the bug/virus of an enemy and creates a virus core.  Repeated use causes Kite to get infected with a virus that inflicts random status ailments or debuffs and renders him vulnerable to attacks.

Personality:  Warm, calm, kind, surprisingly wise for his age, and an excellent leader.  He has a tendency to worry too much on trivial things though.

Bio:  Life in Final Clash was interesting for Kite.  He would have a great time having players choose him and have friendly matches.  Those aren't the only things he would do though.  The Twilight Bracelet Kite possessed allowed him to deal with bugs and viruses.  So in addition to being a character to be played with, Kite was also part of Final Clash's system that would remove problems that occurred within the game.  But he didn't mind that.  He did something kind of similar in the original four ".hack//" games he came from. When the Evo Virus arrived, Kite couldn't stand the chaos they caused.  Since he was equipped with something that can remove viruses, Kite felt obligated to deal with them.  Kite was more than willing to get rid of some bugs so that players can have fun and other characters can be safe.

Occupation: Part-Time Teacher/Hub Operator
Appearance: Will is about 6'2", has brown hair and hazel eyes. An average build (with some extra pounds). Will dresses very casual, showing his students that he is one of their peers and never really grew up.
Personality: Will is normally very calm and casual, giving off the impression that he's just a man-child. He's fun loving, a major nerd, and all around good guy.
Bio: Will grew up in the 90's playing Playstation and SNES. These two systems would go on to influence his life, turning him into a gamer. As Will grew up, his choices led him down a road that could have led to a career in video games. However, after the ban, Will stashed all his stuff and waited for a time to open his own Hub, filled with consoles of old and various arcade games Will had tracked down. After finding his Synth, Will and Tron began to work at holding off EVO forces, while Will tried his best to find ways to train Tron against the various forces of the video game world.

Age: In Tron canon, the Grid version of Tron was compiled around 1983, making Tron approximatly 42 as of the year 2025.

Weapon: Tron wields two Identity discs, circular objects that can be using as a throwing weapon or as a melee weapon.
Abilities: Tron is a skilled warrior with his Identity discs, able to take on many soldiers at one time. He is also able to slightly modify code within the game, as well as change his appearance to that of Rinzler. Tron is also very capable using motorcycles and air vehicles, preferably Light cycles and Light jets from his own world.
Personality: Tron is a determined warrior, willing to do anything for the Users (the term he prefers to use for Players). He is usually serious and task-focused and has a deep reverence towards the Players.
Bio: Formerly a security program inside Encom computer systems, Tron was put inside Final Clash for much the same purpose. He and Will have been working together for about a year, holding off EVO forces while they wait for more Beta players to arrive.

Abilities: High attack and agility, moderate on other stats, low psynergy points (referred to as pp, but basically mp).

Psynergy- Slayer Class- (all spells have different levels that vary for strength, I will put main categories) Move- moves rocks. Growth- grows plants... Quake- earthquake. Spire- shoots a column of rock up from the earth. Gaia- volcano. Cure- minor healing spells. Ragnarock- launches a giant sword. Revive- brings one ally back from KO.

Djinn and summons

Overall, Matthew has some pretty good psynergy attacks, but dismal pp, and djinn come with a lot of drawbacks, so he relies on his attack with his weapon most of the time.

Personality: Quiet, smart, level headed, sympathetic and caring. He is also an awful liar (you can give any answer for most parts of the game and the NPCs will still know if you are lying.)

Bio: After finishing his quest for a roc feather that turned into a long adventure to save the world, Matthew and his friends studied the psynergy vortexes and their cause until Final Clash began. Matthew left the lookout cabin in search of new adventures with his player, and was not disappointed. The new world was incredible, and there were many more people to meet and places to explore. Then the Evo virus was released, and Matthew did what he always did; got dragged into a giant adventure to save the world. Although the Beta players skills are great, they all still have a lot to learn before they are ready to stop the Evos. But Matthew believes, they can save the world.

Personality: Sarcastic, cheerful and overall condescending. He truly thinks he knows more than other people, and likes to keep it that way. When things don't go his way he ends up puling a fit, becoming vengeful and spiteful, not caring of any consequences as long as he gets his revenge.
Bio: Leonardo is a brilliant kid smarter than most kids his age. However instead of advancing academically he instead focused his efforts into gaming and hacking. Ethical or unethical, he has been known to hack into his school's website to change its layout, change students' grades, and his worst offense was hacking into a company's records and using it to his own personal gain, having him remain a year in juvenile detention. He was pulled out by the government and offered him a job; become an EVO player to reclaim control, and in return he would have endless benefits, including a job at the government and enough money to buy whatever advanced technology he wanted. Leonardo accepted. He had already been hacking into places and 'setting things right'. This would be no different.

Personality: A grand mathematician he is known to blabber out math jokes and punch lines whenever possible. He is arrogant and despises working in a team. The only exception is with his partner as they don't work directly and Sho is allowed to do his own thing most of the time. He won't hesitate to show off his strengths and to prove it with whatever it takes. the EVO virus has made him at least a bit more cooperative when it comes to working as a team. It has also given him no care of what happens to the world of video games if Evo wins.
Bio: After the events of TWEWY, he found himself partnered up with Leonardo after being corrupted with the Evo virus. He was already unstable as it was, and with the virus it added an extra kick to his already explosive self. Leonardo and him only get along due to the fact that Leonardo supports hi mathematical habits and usually allows him to what he needs to do his way as long as he gets it done.

Appearance:

Personality: Cheerful, friendly, confident, decisive and curious. Bridget has a bad habit of poking at people's emotions just to see what will happen. She is a bit blunt sometimes, and doesn't like handling emotional things, preferring to deal with clear problems and facts.

Bio: Bri is about to start her last year of college due to AP course credits and taking a few more credit hours than she probably should have, but the councillors said it was ok as long as the student took all required courses and could handle the workload, so... Due to her schools weird scheduling, a fall winter/ summer spring setup arranged so that they can take more students, she is on a break right now. Bridget started playing video games when she was around eight years old, and stuck with it during her free time. When they were declared illegal, she kept a couple of her favorites hidden until she almost got caught and gave up on them. Then, three years ago, she found a Hub near her home, got involved in Final Clash, met Matthew, received her Synth, and the rest is history.

Personality: Lax is usually very out-going, great sense of humor, and mostly a goofball. He loves to play around with little gadgets and gizmos and create something new. He can hack into computers and anything mechanical with ease. He likes to travel with others and have a great time. And he's always more than thrilled to battle the Evos. But most of all, his bond for gaming can't be broken.
Bio: Lax has been playing video games ever since he was 3 years old. Even though he liked modern gaming, the classics are where it's at. He has knowledge of past video game icons that kids of this generation didn't know or didn't care. When the news that Video Games were being banned, his heart was broken. He saw no purpose in his life anymore. He became depressed. Until a Hub was made in his neighborhood. Lax was so excited to go there...He decided to live in the hub. And since then, 3 years later, he's been living there making new friends and building new gadgets to his heart's content.

Personality: Shantae is a kind, yet sometimes ill-tempered character. She's very trusting and always willing to help, though sometimes it could hinder her.

- Transform into Animals. (Monkey, Elephant, Mermaid, ect.)

- Able to use different types of magic.

- Use of different items and weapons.

 

Bio: After suddenly being into the world of Final Clash, Shantae had trouble fitting in with the crowd. With so many people in one place, it was hard to find at least someone to be with. That's when she met Lax. The unlikely pair slowly became good friends and partners to Beta. She's fascinated by Lax's mind of technology, though she does find it a bit dangerous to use. One thing Shantae remembers clearly, in Lax's words: "Soon, I'll be able to bring you to our world! Then we can hang out more! Heh Heh!" This quote worried her, confused her, and made her excited all at once. She didn't know how, but Shantae awaits the day Lax does what he said...

Bio: Ky was always good at doing what he was told. As a young kid, he got excellent grades in school because he took instructions very well and executed impeccably. Shortly after high school, before Ky could look into colleges, he was contacted and offered a well-paying position in the government. The government told him about Evo, its purpose, and what he would have to do. It didnt take them long to convince him. He could see what video games were doing, and that if they were eradicated, how quickly society would advance. Soon, he was tasked with undermining and destroying the hubs, and this so called "Final Clash" battleground and its "Betas". When hes not fighting, he is hunting down hubs and destroying them with Evo.

Nibel. At times, Sephiroth acts more humane and caring than his reputation would suggest, disobeying orders due to conflict of interest if it would impact his friends, and offering his blood for a transfusion to help Genesis when he was injured.
Bio: During his quest to destroy Jenova, sephiroth was contacted by Ky via synth. Ky told him about Evo, the state of his world, the betas, and that he needed help. he attempted to convince Sephiroth to join him, but initially, sephiroth declined. After some deliberation, Ky was able to convince Sephiroth to join his cause and submit himself to Evo so that he and Ky could work together, on the terms that once it was over, he would be released and return to jenova to finally destroy it.

Everyone's accepted' I will start this a roleplay soon, but I will possibly waiting until afterE3 depending on what you guys think think that's a busy time for us gamers.

Also, so this is like before Sephy is evil right? *never played FF7* I just remember him as a heartless bastard so it's quiet interesting to see Sephy in the past. Final Class takes place after every game.

Sephy, don't worry. If Evo wins, Jenova will definitely be gone... along with everything else...

Bio: Back when video games were legal, Anton spent most of his free-time by played them, especially when exams drew near, as school and university were never a problem to Anton, who rarely studied, but it was a different story for his friends that Anton spent his time with, sometimes playing video games with them too. He also played many games that came out before he was born, including games on the original PlayStation. Of course, Anton's life changed when the ban happened. He was devastated, and was bored when he didn't spend his time with his friends. When exams came, having nothing to do in his free time, he walked in his city out of boredom, hoping to find something to do. It was then when he found an hub, where he found many games he didn't recognized. The game that interested him the most was Final Clash. After playing it for a while, Anton was chosen by the Developers and got his own Synth.

Weapon: Can use spears, axes and swords. I'll have him use mostly Claimh Solais, an holy elemental greatsword. The other times he will use Gungner, a lightning elemental spear, and Death Scyhte(dark attribute)

Abilities: Power of Dominance. The power to absorb the souls the user kills, and gain their power. The souls come in mainly 3 types, and allow Soma to use one of their powers:

​1. Bullet Souls(aka Red souls)- These souls allow Soma to perform an instant attack. or action. Powerful souls include Aguni- a pillar of fire that races across the ground, Flame Demon-3 fire orbs are summoned  vertically  towards the enemy(like this: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/castlevania/images/8/8a/Flame-DemonAnimations.gif/revision/latest?cb=20150827011837) and Abaddon-Summon a cloud of locusts to swarm foes.

​2. Guardian Souls- Souls that have continuous use which can be activated and deactivated at anytime. Examples include continuous summons( Such as Alastor which summons a floating sword that hits enemies) , transformations(such as Bat Company, giving him the ability to transform into a bat, and Devil- Soma transforms into a demon and rushes towards the enemy to damage him) or continuous attacks( such as Black Panther, Soma moves in high speed while creating a shock wave around him that damages the enemies and Gegoth- Soma fires a devastating laser beam.)

3. Enchanted Souls- Passive souls. Includes stat boosting souls, or souls that give Soma general benefits(Such as Skula, giving him the ability to breath and walk underwater, or Poison Worm, giving him poison immunity) 

Personality: Soma as himself is serious, but friendly and cares for the people around him, all the while having a strong sense of duty and being particularly protective of Mina, his potential love interest, and is quick to get angered should something happen to them.

Bio: After the events of Dawn of Sorrow, Soma found himself with his friends and allies at Final Crash. Soma was confused and clueless at first, but attempted to adapt into the world of Final Clash after he understood what happened, by asking the other characters. When the Virus attacked, some of his new friends drastically changed. It was then when he met Anton, who explained the situation to Soma and became friends with him.

Bio: Cameron played games every so often, he enjoyed reading more then playing games. At the age of 16 he took up an apprenticeship job with his father who was in the government. After a few years he overheard people working for the government about this new virus that will rid the world of games, since he works with the government he figured they were never wrong. He wanted to know more, he wanted to be a part of this new idea, so he went up to his father and asked him about the virus and what he could do to help. After some talking with his superiors his father was about to get Cameron into the project, now he is happily helping the government do what he believes is the right thing.

Everyone's accepted' I will start this a roleplay soon, but I will possibly waiting until afterE3 depending on what you guys think think that's a busy time for us gamers.Also, so this is like before Sephy is evil right? *never played FF7* I just remember him as a heartless bastard so it's quiet interesting to see Sephy in the past. Well, the timelines arent gonna line up *perfectly* here, becuase FF7 SPOILERS AHEAD (sorry i dont know how to do the cool spoiler thing) Sephiroth infuses himself with something called the lifestream and gets crazy powers and forms, so were just gonna say this is sephiroth before that happened.

He is incredibly laid back and sarcastic, usually commenting to his allies about ways that they may have messed up. However, if pushed far enough, Dante will show no mercy to his opponent and will defeat them with full force. At this point, Dante's laid back attitude completely disappears and he becomes quite brutal, instilling fear into all who challenge him.

 

Bio: As a Demon Slayer for hire, Dante spent a majority of his time attending to the jobs of various people that required a demon problem to be resolved. Since moving himself and his shop to Final Clash, has kept his business open for hire. The major difference now though is that instead of specifically targeting demons only, Dante is now open to having players hire him to contend with Evo's. With Samantha Marble as his current "client", the Demon Hunter has tasked himself with finding out the secret to Final Clash while cleaving his way through any Evo's standing in his way.

Personality: Cold, quiet, and reserved, Celes fears to trust anyone and does not open herself up to others.  She will not allow herself to grow attachment toward anyone, nor will she ever allow people to truly know her.  She is simply known as General Celes with a heart of ice, though the facade of uncaring can only go so far, and inside is a young woman who desires a true life.

You're accepted! As for your question, well the roleplay will take place in the real world and the game world, so there will be moments where something will be going on in the human world and whatnot. I do think it's quite interesting that your Player is mysterious though~

Just a quick thing, NPC just simply means a video game character that doesn't have a Player. An Evo or Beta that doesn't have a Player partner.

(although if you want your character to have a partner than you can just apply as a regular partner who is searching for a player)

NPCs can also gain a player during the story. But generally it just means a video game character who generally doesn't have an official partner. (Not connected through a synth)

Name: Kline Tosh

Occupation: Student and former cashier at Retro Games.

Appearance:

Personality: Kline is a very relaxed young man. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and helping others out. He is treated like an outcast due to his lack of social skills when he is around other people. When he is around similar people like him however Kline will often open up and act as a very nice young man. He doesn't tolerate any bullying or whatnot, as he has a strong sense of what is right and wrong.

Bio: Kline grew up in a nice household. As an only child Kline wasn't one to make much friends. When he was young, his parents would often take him to a small family owned game shop called Retro Games. His parents were close friends to one of the workers of the shop, who was practically it’s owner. The worker, called Bit by friends took Kline under his wing as an apprentice and introduced him to the wonders of video games. Kline fell in love with games and it introduced him to a beautiful world. But that was when the fall happened. Gaming was banned and the Internet was censored. Bit went missing and the shop closed. Police reports told that Bit was killed by radical supporters of the ban on video games. A few years past and Kline felt lost with the void that was now in his heart. What was strange however, one day he found a peculiar device in his room…

Now he is a Beta Player of Final Clash. Working close with his partner, Kline will do whatever it takes to protect his world and the game world from Evo.
