Hello my fellow Keyblade wielders,

Today I present you with my Kingdom Hearts 3 theory (hopefully one of many). I hope you enjoy it and would love to hear your thoughts about it.

Edit: sorry not sure how embedding works here yet. If someone can tell me I would greatly appreciate it.

If there’s one thing that’s truly immersive about the Kingdom Hearts series is mystery. Despite countless installments we still feel like there’s very little we know. One of the bigger mysteries is surrounding the actual Kingdom Hearts. What we know is that it’s the source of all power and wisdom and one true gate that connects all hearts. What if it’s more? I mean, what if it’s actually a world and what if Sora would become the ruler of such power?

Sora is a hero, the protagonist. He is only facing off against the 13 darknesses, not the end of his journey. I don't think he will become ruler, however he will be considered by many as their true hero, along with Riku, Mickey, and the 7 lights that (hopefully) stop Xehanort.

Fantastic video, I usually don't care for the videos posted on here mainly because they are usually just theories with trailer loops in the background. I really liked how you used a facecam as well as footage from the games :D

The theory is very unique, I've never heard this one. I think this could definitely happen, but not in KH3, this would be better at the ending of the entire series. Being King of Kingdom Hearts seems like a really high position. Kingdom Hearts is basically a source of limitless power and knowledge, if Sora ruled over it at the end of KH3 he'd literally be a God, which would make the idea of sequels really pointless. However, if he ruled over it at the end of the entire series, it would make things more rewarding and make us feel like we've come a long way.

That would be interesting if Sora actually did what Master Xehanort has described in one of his reports: unlock Kingdom Hearts and become something greater than human.

Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, it does feel like a bit of stretch especially for 3 but I always get the feeling that Sora's journey will end with Xehanort's defeat. A new world brings new possibilities and cast to the series (I think I'll make another video about that lol).

On a side note would anyone know how to get the embed working. Been trying for an hour but no luck.

It has already been confirmed by the series director that the series will not end after KH3 and that Sora will be the main protagonist.

While it doesn't specifically mention Sora I guess we can interpret it as such. Only reason I mentioned that is cause I recalled at one interview (can't remember which one) Nomura said the story of Sora may end as well. Guess he will keep at it till he's full grown up or something.

Yeah, I can't get videos to embed here either.  They used to do that automatically.

This was a thoroughly joyful video to watch!  I liked how you went into detail with your theory, and while I think that it would be amazing if Sora became a transcendent deity that rules over Kingdom Hearts and brings forth the light to all, I agree with the others.  Him becoming that powerful should be saved for the very last game in the series, ya know? :)

Awesome video man, keep up the great work! :D

Thank you, whether this happens in 3 or not remains to be seen. Either ways I do feel like it's a proper send off to Sora.  xP

You're welcome! And indeed!  Since Sora connects with so many people and has so many people in his heart, who better to wield the power of Kingdom Hearts than one who clearly is worthy, ya know? :D
