How would a Marvel/Star Wars world work?

Posted

If a Marvel did make it into KH3 somehow, how would you like it to work?

Personally, I can do without one, but if it did happen, I would prefer if it was comic book pages scattered throughout the game. Each page would contain a small story, for example:

-Travel to Wakanda and help Black Panther defeat the Heartless/Nobodies there

-Help the Avengers defend New York by protecting the citizens

Doing this would make all the Marvel stuff optional while appeasing to the people that want to see it in KH3

Might as well make this topic about Star Wars as well but I have no ideas for that...

Hmm, that's a tough nut to crack!  Hmm, well, in terms of a Marvel world, we could start off somewhere mythical, like Asgard perhaps!  But then again, most of the worlds in KH are based on real life locales, so I really don't see why New York wouldn't be a spot to visit, ya know?  After all, we've seen how a city environment looks like in the KH Universe via The World That Never Was, so we can join the Avengers and battle the Chitauri in New York, ya know?  But that's my tastes, and people have got other tastes, ya know?

As for Star Wars, there's numerous ways that the KH series could tackle that franchise!  You could either start at the Prequel Era, go smack dab into the middle of the Clone Wars, or maybe go to the timeline of the Original Trilogy?  I'm not really sure! :O

I don't think they would do New York, mostly because they have San Frantokyo taking the place of the urban city trope world.

Marvel character cameos, like how the Final Fantasy characters. The only worlds i can see truly being possible are Asgard or one from Guardians of the Galaxy. Hades could revive a deceased character like he did with Auron.

Most of the woulds that are based on real locations get new names as well (Mulan-China=Land Of the Dragon).

With Star Wars I have to agree with Key. The timeline is so big its hard to decide where in it a Kingdom Hearts world would be set. Clone Wars would be interesting but then there would be no Darth Vader.

If it's going to be in KH, then it NEEDS to be from the comics NOT the movies.

The problem is the movies are more popular and identifible than the comics. So it's more likely the movies would be used.

And that's why I don't really want them in there.

Ehhh I really can't see Marvel or Star Wars in KH. I don't know, it's just something I can't really grasp. I mean if they find a good way to implement it, then I mean I guess we have no choice obviously. I just don't think it'd be good combination.

it probably wouldn't.

if anything it'll come across more shallow than the Disney worlds in recent KH games. instead of actually getting pulled into the world, you're just led around as you watch poor reenactments of your favorite movies.

also every Marvel world will end with a stinger

The Big Hero 6 world will probably be as close to a Marvel world as we'll ever get in a KH game.

And I would be completely okay with that.

I completely agree with everything above. That's all I have to say.

The closest will get for Marvel & Star Wars is DLC.

The more I think about SW, the less and less I think a proper adaptation of the films would really work. With the exception of my original 'Just have a world set in the Death Star' idea, none of the other films I think could really work as 'worlds', mostly because...well, each film features multiple 'worlds'. But I still wanna see Star Wars in it, though, because crack crossovers are my favorite kind of crossovers and I'll be damned if I can't see Donald Duck swinging a lightsaber around killing Heartless. (That probably wouldn't happen :()

Honestly, I think the best way to adapt SW would be one of two ways: Either focus on one specific part of one of the movies. (The Death Star, Endor, Bespin, what have you) or, and this would probably work better...just adapt the cartoons. If there was a world based on an episode from The Clone Wars, they could easily just have it set on one world during one particular battle, hanging out with Anakin, Ahsoka and Obi-Wan and battling General Grievous or something. Or Rebels, with Kanan & Ezra.

On the Marvel side, I think it would work way better. With the exception of Guardians of the Galaxy and the Thor movies, every other film takes place on Earth. All you really have to do with Marvel is just do what you did with Pirates and Tron and we'll be fine.

The simple answer is it wouldn't.

I agree with what you said lol. A comic book side world with the pages everywhere.

I think Donald would be wielding Thor's hammer.

The bare minimum I would accept is getting special weapons for Donald and Goofy. Mjolnir and Cap's shield.

Idk if dlc costumes would work. Like if Kairi was playable her dlc costumes would be Scarlet Witch's costume during Age of Ultron, and Rey from the Force Awakens.

Marvel and Star Wars just do not fit, the only way I can see Marvel working is a side world like that looks like a comic strip or maybe a summon nothing more. As for Star Wars I just can not see it.

once again dlc weapons.
