Only in KH2 would the game have been better or worse? And what do you think would be some significant changes?

What exactly is your Idea for the Roxas Gameplay style? is it like in the tutorial? custom abilitys? his boss moveset?Anyways, it would be pretty hard with either the first or the last option.

What I meant was Roxas plays like Sora and Sora plays like Roxas in the tutorial.

 

Kind of like a palette or costume switch.

I'd be fine either way, I didn't really mind too much when I played as Raiden most of the time in MGS2, so I imagine that I'd feel the same way about KH2. As long as Sora was given a pretty good move set by the time you switch to Roxas it'd be pretty satisfying overall.

ahh well i mean from a gameplay perspective they'd probably handle the same.

 

storywise it wouldn't work with the KH2 story we have now. i mean they could definitely make a new plot out of it. i remember when i first got my hands on KH2, i was under the impression that Sora had completed his journey in KH1 and now in this next game we would get a new hero to play as, so they could roll with that concept. 

 

maybe have Roxas set off on a journey to take down the Organization for personal reasons and then later on he learns what their true plans are and he becomes conflicted because he wants to be whole as well and the Organization may be the only ones who could achieve that goal and idk maybe that could make for a good plot.

There's already a thing like that, it's called 358/2 days

Aaaaaand, now I want a 0.2 kind of game but with Roxas as the lead.

Or better yet, remake 358/2 Days for the PS4.

I've been having all these weird thoughts lately, like is any of this real or not?

Very Very interesting. Kh2 was pretty good, but Roxas was interesting. Let's just say 358 ends with Roxas beating Riku, and kh2 is Roxas trying to defeat the organization, beat Xemnas, and free kingdom hearts. Sora's prologue could be him in his subconscious or something trying to fight to awaken, and ends with him accepting Roxas as the hero.  

I love this idea heck change it up and make it so Sora and Roxas work together while both gaining the same power and abilities while Roxas still getting his sort of boss set up by end game.

 

I could imagine him Sora and Riku all fighting Xemnas.

 

Honestly I wish Roxas didn't have to return to Sora because I prefer Roxas over Sora.

 

 

Not that I dislike Sora.
