It sounds weird maby but I think he has a big role in the story.
Maybe he is a student or something .

Considering Chi/Unchained Chi takes place who-knows-how-many years before the other games, he's probably not born yet.

he's most likely not even alive yet. After all, X is basically saying that the disney worlds didnt't necessarily exist around the time. Ergo, none of the disney characters exist either. If any disney character existed during that time, it would probably be Merlin.

The tome is malfunctioning because of the missing page and the events from the future are mapping on to their time. The same reason that emblem heartless exist

They are the result of the Book of Prophecies making projections of objects, worlds and people who appear in the future. Which is why we see Mickey as well as the older version of Hercules.

He likely doesn't exist yet. Also, I'm not getting that vibe at all, he doesn't seem to have ANYTHING to do with this game.

Dunno if you know Fantasia he must be very old.

He is telling the story so it makes sense if he was there.

Btw Disney characters don't age .

Not there. Quite simple since he is or rather would be a projection from the Book of Prophecies.

Yeah, personally, I agree with everyone here!  The Keyblade War, the Age Of Fairy Tales, spans thousands of years, so I don't think Yen Sid even exists during the Age Of Fairy Tales, ya know?  The only way he could appear is via projection, as all other Disney characters have appeared in this game so far!
