Takeshi Nozue discusses possibility of a Kingdom Hearts CG Film

Posted

In an interview with WCCFTech following the release of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, movie director for Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II and director of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, Takeshi Nozue, took the time to answer some questions. Interestingly enough, WCCFTech asks Nozue whether he'd consider directing a Kingdom Hearts CG Film in the future. Nozue says that if the audience wants it, he'd be happy to try it.

You can read his response below.

You’ve also worked on Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II as the movie director. Would you like to direct an actual film based on Kingdom Hearts if such a project was greenlighted?

Answering the call of the audience matters more to me than working a particular franchise. Kingdom Hearts or not, if it’s something the fans want, I’m happy to give it a try.

Would you like a Kingdom Hearts CG Film? Let us know in the comments below!

no thanks. if the Days and Re:Coded "cinematic story videos" are anything to go by, it won't be anything to write home about.

i just can't imagine a GC KH film being anything more than wasted potential.

besides Back Cover is essentially halfway there to a KH CG film, right? so there you go. consider that a glimpse at what a stand alone KH CG film would be like.

I'm surprised how we still didn't have one.

I would love a Kingdom Hearts movie!

By anyone other than Takeshi Nozue, I mean! ;)

If they do a film series, I'd want it to be in chronological order, starting with Chi.

POSSIBILITY OF A KINGDOM HEARTS CG FILM!?  HELL TO THE FRICKIN YES, THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!! :D

It would be awesome if a KH CG film was made!  I've always prayed that if there were a KH film, that'd it'd be CG, and not live action, so this brings happiness to my heart!

Granted though, X Back Cover is basically like a film, so we'd be getting a film-esque taste out of that, but gahhh, I'd love a film that's more than one hour long! X_X

Yes I rather have a full Kingdom Hearts CG animation movie instead of a CG/live-action hybrid movie. I would love to see an all new original story that is canon and it takes place after the events of the Xehanort Saga.

Interesting. My cousin a long time ago said that she wanted a Kingdom Hearts film. I want one definitely.

I think a standalone movie of KH would work better than adapting the plot of KH1 or being a tie-in with another entry.

This is a perfect idea. The same lore elements can be kept throughout the various franchises without any retcon involved.

If this were Tekken 8, Teen Titans season 07 or Dissidia 014, I'd know who I'd want to voice if I could audition, but this is KH. So, I have no clue what character I want to "place my voice in".

man i would love if they made a kingdom hearts movie if they did that it would be the bomb

YES YES and the thousand times YES!

but dont know who that guy is. Is he a good director?

I'M SOOOOOOO READY! BRING ME THE KINGDOM HEARTS MOVIEEEE!!!!

I hope that is, if it works out...

I'm so excited just about this possibility!!!!
