Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] released in Japan today, on March 29, 2012. Our coverage of the game has begun. 7:59AM EST: Earlier, we shared a post from 2ch that explained the ending of Kingdom Hearts 3D. goldpanner have provided us with a more detailed translation of this post, and you can read it at the link below. Keep in mind that it contains major spoilers, and also that there is a chance that it might not be accurate. However, another site confirms some of the information here, so it appears that it might be true. As for the translation:

5:30AM EST: crimmyice from Justin.tv is currently doing a live-stream of the game. You can watch this below. The playthrough is over, for now, however are able to watch a recording of it below.

4:58AM EST: We have received many photos showing the Kingdom Hearts 3D box, revealing its contents in detail. These photos were uploaded by takaturtle from KH13, who created a thread here. You can see the photos below.

3:26AM EST: A post on 2ch has possibly revealed the ending of the game. While we don't yet know if this is legit or not, a user on Tumblr has translated the post entirely. You can click the link to see it, but remember that this is not yet confirmed. Also remember that since this explains the game's ending, it obviously has spoilers.

2:33AM EST: Square Enix have updated their official website for the Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance Original Soundtrack. This update reveals that Disc 1 (of the 3-disc soundtrack) will contain 16 tracks, and also gives the names of these tracks. You can see them below. Many of the tracks have audio samples to listen to, so please check it out.

Ya folks are forgetting about Chain Of Memories. You know, the KH-themed GBA SP. The only concern, aside for the whole "trade the 3DS for the other 3DS without actually having to buy it", is transferring the digitally-delivered games (3D Classics, VC games, etc), and ESPECIALLY the 3DS Ambassador status provided you have one, to the new console.

    I know, I know. But my thread was closed because I posted something that said the game would be out early as false info even though as you can see now, I was right. But I don't care, I just finally can't wait to see the game!

     

    I may be wrong , but didnt Dchuich specify that it was bc you mentioned a specific friend you used as a source that couldnt be verfied as the reason? At least thats what i gathered...

    According to the blog there isn't. Kinda weird to see it was in Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix + Birth By Sleep and Re:coded, (I think, I can't quite remember if it was in Re:coded) if it's not in there I get the feeling the English release will get it along with extra content, and Japan will get a Final Mix with extra content, a repeat of Birth By Sleep again.

    Yes, he actually posted on the thread and I PM'd him, but I haven't gotten a response back, so I think he was lying. It was a all a rumor, even though I said that right on the first page. I'm not going to post usernames because it's wrong to do. Sorry, but I didn't lie about anything, there were disclaimers that until I had full proof, expect to wait.     Dude, start going on a Heartless/Nobody/Unversed hunt in the so-far released games in the meantime.

     

    Especially the Unversed in the same section of Radiant Garden where Aqua fights Terranort. You can pause the game where the first bunch appears before you, and say, "Sorry, Unversed, nothing personal, but..." *then you put on your sunglasses* "I've gotta KILL... the time". And then you already know what to do next, un-pause the game and scream...

    Am i the only person who doesnt really like the CGI of the characters faces? For some reason they never have visible eyebrows. It bothers me. Random i know ..xD

    As long as you don't mind it, it ain't that much of a big deal.

    Its not that i dont like the CGI altogether .Its just that not having eyebrows makes some of them look creepy LOL

    I agree on that. Japanese players are definitely pro.

     

    And anyway, while I bought it on late November 2011 and beaten the final boss the same day, it took until February 2012 for me to reach 100% completion.

    Don't worry, he's only got to the mid-way point of Notre-Dame, and that's take him about 3-5 hours worth of play. It's not as bad as it seems xD
