Birth by Sleep is highest selling PSP game

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep has been revealed to be the highest selling PlayStation Portable game of 2010. Based on sales in North America, according to the NPD Group, Birth by Sleep was able to sell over 300,000 copies, not including those in the PSP-3000 system bundles. This is even more impressive considering that Birth by Sleep made its North American debut over halfway through the year, releasing on September 7, 2010.

Holy shit thats gotta be a profit of around 10 million

not to be a smart ass but if there are 300,000 copys sold at $40 each then the profit would be 12,000,000

not to be a smart ass but the rrp was 30 to 35 dollars so i was estimating around 10 million which 8 to 12 million would happen to be!

Sigh... sadly I didn't contribute to those 300,000 units as I have yet to get Birth by Sleep. Hopefully, I'll get their 300,001st unit! :D

Dissidia was sold in 2009.

That's great news for BBS. I didn't think it would be the highest seller. ~.~

As I've said before, Sony should be very thankful to Square Enix. xD And if it weren't for KH, I'd have never bought a PS2 or a PSP.

Not to be a smart ass, but companies don't get all the profits from a games sale. As far as I know, the store buys them in bulk, for a lower price, then sells them and keeps the 40 dollars or whatever.

It would be wise for square to make bbsv2 on the psp as well since the first one did so well. *crosses fingers*

Not to be a smart ass but you're both not being funny, did you basically say it costs SE money to sell their games? By your logic they made nothing or spent a fiver

It doesn't cost them money, they sell the game in bulk, and the store that sells them makes profit based on the difference between how much the games cost and their selling price. It's not like Square just gives stores a game, and the store sends them 40 dollars for each game sold :/
