ESRB rates Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX as E10+

I am going to buy two of those, because I will play it so long until the CD melts!

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has rated Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX. The game is rated E10+, for Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood, and Use of Alcohol. However, Mild Blood and Use of Alcohol only apply to the Port Royal segments of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix HD, so they are not very prevalent.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX will release on March 9th, 2017 in Japan, March 28th, 2017 in North America, and March 30th, 2017 in Europe for the PlayStation 4.

lol I almost forgot about the Mild Blood and Use of Alcohol from the Port Royal chapters. 

When you think about it, it's amazing how they're able to depict a "war" like the Keyblade War without any reference to blood lol... just dirt and scratches, maybe wear and tear marks, but no one cut open with a zig-zag rip or clearly seen with a key-shaped wound. I guess everyone just bursts into light once expired, like how Eraqus did in BBS.

Not at all surprising since both of the collections where rated that as well so yeah

I actually started laughing when reading that official ESRB description:

1. It said that KH HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix is based on the Kingdom Hearts franchise.  It is the majority of the franchise, excluding KH 2.8 and KH3 obviously! 

2. The Heartless being referred to as "shadow imps" was funny, too. 

3. The descriptions for the various moments of fantasy violence were oddly worded IMO.  Well, "magical key-shaped swords" is an on-point description of keyblades, to be fair.

4. Of course, we can never forget about all of that gushing blood in KH2!  And don't even get me started on that alcohol consumption! 

Gosh, these video games are poisoning young, impressionable minds, aren't they? :wink:

"dramatically dissolving into mist" is now my favorite way to describe death in a series.

And well, I honestly knew that the rating for 1.5+2.5 would be E10+!  Makes me wonder if Kingdom Hearts III will be the first ever game in the series to be rated T for Teen! I think we may get to that point soon!

Well, I mean, if body possession, discarding hearts, wanting to wage a genocidal war and the main characters suffering grim fates counts as E10+, then I wonder what would be required for the series to reach a T rating? X3

When you consider the fact that heart-shaped souls are a regular sight, it really does call into question the innocent depiction of war and violence, doesn't it?

Truly, Disney is corrupting our youth. Where's all that family-friendly nature we grew up with? I want a refund!
