Darkness, Light, and more Surprises to Come

xionskeyblade

Game Informer has published another article in their August 2018 issue relating to Kingdom Hearts III. In the article, Kimberley Wallace writes about Kingdom Hearts III's influence at E3 and mentions Game Informer's interview with Nomura from their last issue.

Kimberley also quotes Nomura, stating that...

"Nomura has said before that we'd be surprised who's on the side of the Light and who's on the side of the Darkness. The E3 Aqua reveal made that even more apparent."

This quote is making me second guess myself.  If we are going to be surprised by who's on the side of Light and who's on the side of Darkness, then maybe my list is completely wrong.  However, until we get evidence that proves otherwise, I will continue to guess that these are who will be on the side of Light and on the side of Darkness:

Guardians of Light

1.   King Mickey

2.   Sora

3.   Riku

4.   Kairi

5.   Lea/Axel

6.   Terra

7.   Ventus

Seekers of Darkness

1.   Master Xehanort

2.   Young Xehanort

3.   Vanitas

4.   Ansem, Seeker of Darkness

5.   Xemnas

6.   Braig/Xigbar

7.   Isa/Saix

8.   Demyx

9.   Luxord

10. Marluxia

11. Larxene

12. Roxas

13. Aqua

Hopefully if this is the case, they will be able to save both Roxas and Aqua. :[

Well I understand that Nomura wants to add a bunch of twist and turns and surprises in this game because wants to make Kingdom Hearts 3 the best game in the series. But the more I read about him saying there's going to be surprises in this game, and how the fans are going to be surprised in this game. The more I feel worried that Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to divide me so much that it might become my least favorite Kingdom Hearts game. I really hope he's not over doing these surprises because these surprises could be either good choices or bad choices. It's bad enough that I see Larxene and Marluxia returning in this game with yellow eyes just like Master Xehanort's, and I would hate to see Larxene as one of the Thirteen Darkness. As for Aqua, well Nomura said that Aqua can still be save but it depends on the players efforts so I'm not too worried about her. I really hope it won't it doesn't divide me.

Larxene is one of the 13 Darknesses. Accept it. Xehanort improved Marluxia and Larxene. And Aqua will remain with Xehanort till the final battle.

Nomura's twists and surprises are awesome.

My biggest problem with Marluxia and Larxene being in the new organization is that they already betrayed the original one, so it just seems really weird that they are having Xehanort trust them enough to add to his new one. Then again, the game is not out yet so they will hopefully explain it. Plot twists have always been a mixed bag for me so we shall see.

I just have a feeling the wayfinder trio are all in pretty big trouble though.

That's one of the reasons why I like didn't Marluxia and Larxene returning as nobodies in Kingdom Hearts 3. They betray the original Organization back in Chain of Memories and now all of sudden they're part of the thirteen darkness. Plus, Xemnas stated in Dream Drop Distance that most of the original members were too weak and too untrustworthy to be part of the real Organization. Now I'm feeling that Nomura once again retcon that because he needed to fill the rest of the roles of Master Xehanort's Thirteen Seekers of Darkness by using old characters instead of creating new ones.

More like all you're doing is whining. And you are crazy to think they would introduce new characters at the end of fhis saga. Nomura said in the DDD ultimania that the remaining darknesses would be familiar characters. Not his fault you chose to ignore it. And you clearly misinterpreted what Xemnas said.

And Larxene being a darkness is a fact not an opinion.

No it's a opinion. I understand everything what Xemnas said in DDD and I didn't misinterpreted.

Yeah most likely a retcon. I'm gonna guess Nomura didn't really know who would be the thirteen seekers of darkness were gonna be and he just kinda made it up on the spot.

It honestly sounds like your complaining about an opinion that differs from your own. Or your against criticism in general. Like I love this series but I'll be one of the first to admit it has major flaws. And having half of the new organization just be original members seems really lazy to me (especially when it contradicts what was said before). And Nomura is already adding new characters in the mobile game anyway so I don't think it's beyond the possibility that they could introduce new ones in KH3. The series obviously makes it up as it goes along, they don't really plan ahead that much. These are not really new criticisms.

Yeah that is so true. Nomura did said that he only had two Kingdom Hearts stories when he was making the first game. So he didn't really plotted out whole Xehanort Saga. But I definitely agree with you. I hope Kingdom Hearts 3 explains the reason why Master Xehanort brought back the two's most untrustworthy members from the original Organization in the Thirteen Seekers of Darkness. As I said before these surprises could be either good or bad. Which is why I'm really nervous about KH3 but at the same time I'm really looking forward to play this game. Lol!

You seriously can't compare a mobile game setting up a new saga after KH3 to KH3 which is closing off the current saga.

It's a opinion. My opinion's are mostly about Nomura surprises being either good or bad.

Kingdom Hearts Union Cross is connected Kingdom Hearts 3.

So you will deny the fact Larxene is a darkness? Ok I'm just going to assume you're trolling at this point and end this conversation now.

(If it's still safe to comment)  We can't make any definitive lists at the moment because Sora himself may turn to darkness...And in Kairi's particular case, she's considered both a Princess of Heart and a Guardian of Light, making her interchangeable between the two positions. I think that only makes it more confusing and Nomura has made the roster very muddled as to who will be on who's side, and why certain "who's" are back to begin with. I'm just hoping that KH3 doesn't cause more questions then it answers.

That and now there are new lights of heart and we don't really know what that means. Are there two groups of pure hearts are did the others ones just disappear? Is Kairi now the member of three groups? She must be super busy.
