Back in December, Tai Yasue, the co-director of the Kingdom Hearts series revealed that both Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX & HD 2.5 ReMIX could make their way to PlayStation 4. However, in an interview with Ruliweb, Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the Kingdom Hearts series has stated there are no plans to do so.

The most likely reason for this appears to be that they do not want to delay Kingdom Hearts III, as both HD 1.5 ReMIX & HD 2.5 ReMIX were both developed by the Kingdom Hearts team for unknown reasons. Tai Yasue stated in the interview linked above that they did not want Kingdom Hearts III delayed. Another likely reason is that the PlayStation 4 requires all games to have digital versions while both HD 1.5 ReMIX & HD 2.5 ReMIX did not on PlayStation 3, likely due to licensing issues.

In an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine UK, Tetsuya Nomura gives an official development update on Kingdom Hearts III. In the interview, Tetsuya Nomura discusses that the fundamental systems and mechanics are almost complete and they will be shifting developing onto the mass production of areas. Along with an update on the basic systems, he also states that smaller development areas such as mini-games are still varied when it comes to a completion progress. You can read what Tetsuya Nomura said regarding Kingdom Hearts III's current development state below thanks to the report by PlayStation Universe.

Update: We've included the entire interview under the spoiler tag. Nomura discusses world selection, the preparation of his development team, and specifications on the Attraction Flow moves.

Ben Diskin, voice actor of Young Master Xehanort in the Kingdom Hearts series, is currently holding an AMA (ask me anything) thread on reddit, and we had the pleasure of asking him his thoughts on the E3 2015 Kingdom Hearts III trailer and his preparation for his role in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

His response clarifies that he was indeed involved in the recording process for the new Kingdom Hearts III trailer. It also seems as though he was given little to no information regarding the plot before he started recording his lines for Young Master Xehanort in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts III, but according to a previous question, he played Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II before recording the lines.

Ben mentions that he enjoyed the new Kingdom Hearts III trailer and was "relieved" to see his character's appearance in the game. He also reveals that the inspiration came from Japanese voice actor for Young Master Xehanort, Takanori Okuda. Then, Ben makes a point to remind us of how secretive Square Enix and Disney are with this property, as if we were not already aware!

Update: Ben Diskin has taken the time to answer more fan questions about the Kingdom Hearts series. Check out the rest of his Kingdom Hearts-related answers here.

We believe he gave a stellar performance in the trailer and has no reason to be embarrassed by his work, but what do you think? How do you feel about Ben Diskin's work in the series, and what do you take from his responses to the questions regarding Kingdom Hearts? Let us know in the comments below!

You can view these prototypes of the Play Arts Kai figures below thanks to @churroz for originally posting these images.

Recently there have been designs found that were never before seen from Kingdom Hearts that were hidden deep inside the Kingdom Hearts design document. With a look through the design document, it appears that Kingdom Hearts was once named Kingdom of Hearts.

Additionally, there is a picture of what looks like a Toy Story world and how it would look on the world selection map. It includes Andy's house on top of a Pizza Planet rocket. Also note that each character from the design document had a written bio describing each character and their roles in Kingdom Hearts.

The designs found in the document were never released to the public before. You can view all hidden designs and each character's written bio below with credit going to Nathan McMahon on photobucket for originally finding these images and KHInsider for the tip.
