  1. Finally, a subject near & dear to my heart! Star Wolf team-Star Fox 64 http-~~-//youtu.be/52KAuhdp_G8 Reason: aside from SF64 being my all time favorite game, Star Wolf were the perfect rivals, pushing the limits of the player's skill further than any other enemy including the final boss. A shame then that they sucked so much in later games. Why'd you make them into anti-heroes Nintendo? Gruntilda-Banjo Kazooie http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=ER4lzzziXTs Reason: B-K actually had few bosses & most of them were beyond lame. But this worked to the game's favor by making the final battle all the more epic because it was practically the only bossfight of the game. But what really makes it stand out is the build-up: nearly a decade before GlaDOS made it popular, Grunty would constantly mock the heroes through the entire game. & in rhyme! By the time you finally reach the game if pulls aswerve & makes ya play a board game testing how much you learned of your adventure & adversary. Grunty is so final a boss she's not even truly fought until after the credits! After completeing the triva game, going back to past worlds to collect the additional jiggies & notes required & reaching facing her 1-on-1 on the roof of her lair, the battle certainly has a lot of hype to live up to & boy does it deliver. The fight goes on seemingly forever, Grunty constantly changing her strategy & the player utilizing just about every move in the game at some point. Finally it takes the combined power of her victims to defeat her once & for all. That's how you ****ing build up a villain! Donkey Kong-Donkey Kong http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1Ey9OdQXV0 Reason: a hall of fame should include historical firsts. Donkey Kong is the closest I can determine to being the 1st ever actual boss in gaming. The player doesn't attack him directly in the final level but is doing something incrementally to contribute to DK's eventual defeat. Sinistar-Sinistar http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcyBtVwAsfg Reason: While Donkey Kong may well the 1st boss in gaming, Sinistar is the earilist example I can find of a boss the follows the common tropes, particularly having to be directly attacked a multitude of times before dying. Oh, & that voice, in an era where audio was virtually unheard of, had to scare the **** out of kids back then. Dr. Wily-Mega Man 1 http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=6izj_VHl2YM Reason: The original MM had what I believe to be 2 firsts: the 1st boss rush & the 1st instant of a final boss with a "final form". BTW, if any of the above are not actually firsts of their kind, do feel free to point it out. I'm actually quite interested in this bit of triva. Greater Egg Robo (actual name of it)-Sonic & Knuckles http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHSHBe7HPs0 Reason: I list this almost for opposite reasons of Gruntilda: Whereas Grunty was made more special dur to the lack of bosses in B-K, the combined Sonic 3 & Knuckles game had a different boss for every single level. & there were a lor of levels in what was a very long platformer for the time. SEGA had to create a finale that could surpass not only all of the other bosses in S3&K, but also outdo the final bosses of STH1, STH2, & the stand-alone STH3 & good God they delivered. Between the imediately preceeding mini-boss, the 2 phases of the main boss, the subsequent chase & the 2 phases of the bonus bossfight, the finale of Sonic's greatest game is whopping SIX phases total. Holy crap. Metal Sonic-Sonic CD http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbfVC2ayMfs Reason: Like Star Wolf, Metal Sonic is the perfect evil twin, you didn't even fight him directly, rather it was a race testing the player's speed & reaction skills. This should've been the final boss of the game, the actual final boss is pretty disappointing in comparison. Hydra-God of War http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWFgh4xgi-Q Reason" The 1st boss of the GoW series set the par for the sheer of scale & scope of the franchise. Fun fact: while its the 1st level of the game, it was the last to be developed. Santa Monica did this to use everything they learned about making the game to give it the best possibly beginning. Big vs. Chaos 6-Sonic Adventure http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=o38evs8SAeg Reason: Pretty much for the weird novalty of a fishing bossfight. Who knew that was even possible? Mad Hatter-The Adventures of Batman & Robin http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAGXJE1krqY Reason: Proof you don't need cutting edge hardware to create a specticle. The genesis couldn't even handle mode-7 graphics much less true 3D, yet this is absolutely stunning to watch. Meta Ridley-Metroid Prime 3 http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK7J8Js7ovk Reason: Easily the best of the many clashes between Samus & Ridley & a perfect display of their hate for each other: they're both falling to their deaths & are still more concerned with killing 1 another.
  2. WHY IS IT NOT HERE YET?!?!?!?!?!?! (Or something like that.)
  3. Given that nothing else on Vita really interests me, I'd prefer KH stay off it so I don't have to buy the thing for 1 game.
  4. Maybe she's 1 of the 13 darknesses. I mean the real 13 of dark, not clones or copies of a single person. Xehanort in general should just be 1 heart of darkness & there should be 12 others like him making it unessasary to fill those slots with fragments of himself. Right?
  5. Disney makes a new animated film per year. Pixar makes a new year. Plus the odd live action film that's actually viable. A KH game takes 2-3 years to make. Side story games don't have new Disney worlds. I think it adds up to there being a steady enough supply of new material.
  6. Then I wouldn't want to play it.
  7. Disney never did anything of the sort. Nomura assumed Disney would say no. I wish people would quit misreading that.
  8. OK folks, Nintendo did NOT make the Power Glove, Mattel did. Its a 3rd party controller. Bugs me that so many people get that wrong.
  9. *terrible MSpaintshopped alert* Since the Wii U can support 2 tablet controllers plus more tradictional controllers I had this idea: *I warned ya* Co-op multiplayer with 3 players acting as a party. Sure I suppose any other console could do splitscreen co-op but I like the idea of giving each player his own screen.
  10. We're not talking about vs13 so that doesn't mean anything.
  11. I have a separate save file for every boss in those games.
  12. Nothing has been said or done to suggestion it would come to PS3. There's no confirmed system for it & you should never act like there is.
  13. I'd recommend Nyko's upcoming Power Grip Pro which not only has a nicer form factor but increases the battery life of a 3DS. http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/05/nyko-power-grip-pro-3ds/
  14. Outsmart, not really even needed. Just materialize behind him & fire some point-blank Thunder. Especally right after he's had a bossfight with Sora.
  15. Main save & a Chernabog save since he isn't refightable.
  16. RE:CoM was not released in Europe or Australia. I think it should be included in the collection for them.
  17. We haven't really seen the best the 3DS can do yet. In order to produce the 3D effect, the in-game graphics have to rendered twice: once for each eye. Hence, the visuals we see are only using about 50% precent of the hardware. In theory a game that forgoes the 3D effect althogether would look twice as good as the system's current best. & before anyone points out that 3DS games already can be played in 2D, I'll point out that they still have to be able to switch to 3D on the fly, so even in 2D they have to be at 3D standards or else there would be a loading screen every time you move the 3D slider even a little bit. Would a 3D-less game look as good as a Vita title? Probably not but it'd still be a considerable improvement.
  18. -Drop-in co-op where additional players take control over party members. -Subtitles on/off -Option of original/FM enemy colors -Ability to refight any boss freely or even replay whole worlds. -New game+, start at the level you were in the last playthrough but now all enemies are 50 levels higher than they were before. -New game++, every single enemy is level 100. -Alternate audio langueges.
  19. 1. Super Street Fighter 4 2. Zelda OoT 3. Star Fox 64 4. Super Mario 3D Land 5. Mario Kart 7 6. Kid Icarus Uprising 7. WWE All Stars 8. Sonic Generations 3DSware 1. Pushmo
  20. That would so not happen. For business reasons the game will launch on all platforms on the same day, simply how it goes. Furthermore the controller screen wouldn't delay the Wii U version at all. Separate sub teams are put together for porting a game to each supported system, they'll have the entire development cycle of the base build of the game to make system specific adjustments.
  21. Its not really the same thing. Coded was only playable on a particular phone model that was only in Japan & even then I don't doubt many were willing to switch phones just for 1 game. iOS on the other hand is used by many millions of people worldwide over numerous devices. & they could always make it for android as well, In my case I got an ipad 1st gen off of ebay last month so I'm covered.
  22. Gameplay in Atlantica is easy: They wear armor & walk on the sea floor.
  23. KH3D is a 4GB game. PSP discs have a limit of 1.8 GB so right off the bat they would have to release it as a multiple disc game. Not impossible not ideal either. Then there the hardware differences, 3DS is clearly a beefier machine than PSP. It kinda shows that the dream eaters are so smooth & round looking & unverse are angular in many areas of their bodies. A pretty clear sign of how many polygons both machines could push. 3D also has much larger areas than BBS did, which probably be too much for the system having major framerate issues. Heck, there's a reason party members are rare occurances in BBS, the framerate always drops a bit with them. & of course how would the touch screens applications work? But Vita is technically possible. However whose actually buying those?
