  1. no I mean it should have come out now. Nobody will care if it gets remade
  2. Sora has plenty of cues that flesh out his character. He believes in Santa, he wants to be king, and he'll believe in a lie enough to make it true The fact that he hasn't faced misery isn't really a character flaw, or a problem. A character doesn't need deep psychological issues to be good. They don't need angst. Somtimes... they're just allowed mt be happy. Sora's still had his problems. He lost a year of his life after having the memories of everyone he knew and loved wiped away. He lost his home land. he regularly loses Riku and/or Kairi, and the keyblade didn't even choose him. The idea that Sora being happy has to be a facade in order for him to be a good character is... strange to say the least And characters arcs and development are overrated. They're not needed in every situation, and they aren't a secret recipe for an endearing character. (it's portrayed, btw, since you asked) I dunno if it was your intent, but I STRONGLY disagree with the idea that being aimed at kids not not tackling mature themes excludes something from being meaningful in a literary sense
  3. honestly, the right widow for FFIX to be released is right now, when everyone is asking for a return to classic FF it never had a right window during the PS1 era, when everyone wanted to see new technology, new scenarios. Contrasting today, back then people were practically begging Square Enix to change and innovate
  4. but FFIX-2 we could have Garnet, Eiko, and Freya dress up in skimpy outfits and look for Zidane
  5. FFIX was released in 2000 less than a year later, FFX came out it had fully 3D environments, characters WITH voices. Cinemtaic cutscenes, and mind blowing CG FFIX was met with critical acclaim, and it didn't sell TERRIBLY, but it had an awful release window Really, you can see this with most console generations. At the end, the best stuff starts to come out, becuase they've mastered the old tech... but everyone wants to move on to the new thing Like most things that reached acclaim, but weren't that popular, eventually FFIX will swing into the public conscious, and then you'll be sick of everyone saying its the best
  6. not a very strong debunk could mean anything from "he wasn't supposed to say remake before it was announced" to "he meant remaster" definitely weird they didn't specifically say "There will be no remake"
  7. I think it looks kinda cheap, mainly because it looks like a lot of other, inferior players but that's not exactly anywhere close to,say making it so you can't reply to nearly a decade of comments just to push Google+
  8. 13 Xehanorts, but most of whom are unwillingly forced to become Xehanort
  9. literally, when people start theorizing time travel would be a thing after the Mysterious Figure boss, I told everyone it would be a dumb idea did they listen to me!? yes, actually but Nomura didn't
  10. the weird thing about destiny is that backup plans are irrelevant. The Princesses of Heart thing was basically just a threat to make sure the main people fight ... they shouldn't have brought in time travel Possessor from Beast's Castle, the main villain all along
  11. It strikes me, KH3 is kinda leading into KH2 situation. In KH2, their stated goal was to get Sora to collect hearts, which requires no interaction on their part. Despite this, they kept sending people and monsters to try to kill Sora. Now, t wasn't their true goal to gather hearts, so tretroatively it makes some sense KH3 can't exactly pull that despite this, we're probably going to have more than a few fights with the forces of Xehanort... but... why? What's Xehanort's incentive to try to kill Sora, Riku, Mickey, or ANYBODY else? He NEEDS to have them all survive to the end of the game. You can't make the argument now that they made before, where "if Sora is weak enough to die then they don't need him" now these characters are needed, and Xehanort can't afford to lose them There's two ways I cna see this going Either "We need to make Sora and his friends strong enough to clash with us and create Kingdom Hearts" or "We need to do these things to guide Sora and his friends to their destined place"
  12. KH is kinda locked, at this point. If a Light is turned away or defeated, or a Darkness betrays, Xehanort's plan falls apart. So everyone has to go to their "destined" spot
  13. history doesn't matter, the new CEO of Square wants the games on more platforms. That's why KH3 is on XB1 it's the least likely new Square release, but its far from impossible
  14. he's clearly talking about the difference between a console game and a handheld game PC functionally is a console, anyways
  15. Square s releasing Final Fantasy Type-0 HD on PC in two weeks. They've already released FF13 and 1302, as well as FF4 and its requel FF15 is most likely going to make it to PC and I;ve never heard of Nomura saying anything like that not that it's his choice
  16. why wouldn't it happen and yes, I'd rather not buy a 500 dollar console to play one game
  17. not uc has changed since you made this topic http://kh13.com/forum/topic/83880-thoughts-on-the-4-heroes-of-light/
  18. Nintendothon Day 2 is one, they already did Donkey Kong 94, now they're on Ice Climber, next up is Star Fox
  19. Well? Would you consider the plot deep? Ideally, explain why. Let's try to not get into fights, though
  20. Touch controls are irrelevant to KH3D and could be easily removed DDD also has almost five hours if cutscenes. Considering they'd need to add even more cutscenes to make it flow properly, making it a movie sounds impractical never mind that including a five hour "movie" for people to watch with KH3 would be a really stupid idea
  21. if making dumb decisions were what made people not play KH it'd be a lot less popular now
