Yes, people are still writing Classical compositions. You typically hear it in your movies and video games. Enjoy a piece from a group called Two Steps From Hell, which has a very modern twist towards end. Two Steps from Hell- All's Hell that Ends Well

I think that's enough internet for today.....

Only fifty dollars? I better jump on this, all the period blood I've been looking for is in the two hundred to three hundred dollar range. This is either a bargain or a ripoff. I'm going to contact the seller and make sure it doesn't have STDs in it or something. -

GTA V + World of Tanks= World of Grand Theft Tanks Five It's basically Grand Theft Auto Five, only all the cars are now world war two and cold war tanks. This might make for an awesome mod... -
Ask your parents if you can do extra work around the house to make extra money and/or try to do stuff for friends, family, neighbors whoever. If you live in a cold place this time of year shoveling snow can pay decently. In the summer and spring there's always lawns that need mowing and in the fall there's always leaves that need raking. Start with yard work and go with that. From reading your responses to other people giving you advice it seems that either your family just doesn't want you to work, or you aren't willing to work. If the first case is true then I'm sorry bud. If it's the second, it's called work for a reason. There is no such thing as "easy money". The skill and labor required for a job varies, but dedication is always required and possibly the most important thing to have. If you're not willing to spend the vast majority of your time working, then don't bother. Guess what, you're desperate and jobless too. Don't act like you're above other people because you certainly aren't. Your parents are doing the right thing limiting the amount of money they give you. It seems you have little understanding of it's value and the labor required to obtain it. Hopefully you will learn soon enough.

Producing a console that nobody is buying would cause a greater loss in profits than stopping production and moving onto something else or focusing on another product. Basic business really. I don't know Nintendo's details, but if the Wii U isn't making them enough money, they should stop. If it is making them money, then keep making Wii U's. The problem with Nintendo's home consoles is they are underpowered. This has plagued them since the Gamecube. It's only hurting them now because the technology gap between the Nintendo and the others has gotten much wider. The Wii U has the power of the last generation of consoles, not the current generation. While Nintendo is ahead in handhelds they are so behind in consoles it's not even funny. Nintendo has this elitist attitude that people will buy whatever they make no matter what because that's how it's always been. Things have changed. They have three major competitors that are stronger than ever and will only get stronger. The longer it takes for them to realize this, the higher chance they will wind up becoming playing card manufacturers again. The PC is ahead of the PS4, the PS4 is ahead of the Xbox One, and all three are currently annihilating the Wii U. Nintendo needs to adapt. The days where they could top the charts making the updated versions of the same games with the same characters and same stories is long since passed. When even Mario, the mascot of gaming himself is having trouble competing with other titles, you know something is wrong. I don't want Nintendo to conform, I don't want to see them do what everyone else is doing even if it sells. I want to see them take a risky idea and change the entire industry with it. That's what Nintendo does. That's why I love Nintendo. When it comes to creativity and innovation, Nintendo is the best by far. They just need to take advantage of it.

I love Toy Story a lot, but it's horrifically overrated. My top three 1. Up 2. WALL-E 3. Toy Story -
The score IGN gives to a game is directly proportional to the amount of money they receive from the publisher. As for movie reviews, that's not really their thing. I doubt the studios are going to them to give good reviews. Trusting an IGN movie review would be like trusting Rotten Tomatoes if they suddenly started doing game reviews. It's really not their field of expertise. However, regarding The Last of Us, game reviewers often get games before they come out. The same way movie reviewers often see movies before the officially come out. If you are a legitimate game reviewer, from small youtube channels to massive websites, most game developers would be happy to give you a copy of the game before release for the purpose of reviewing. Metacritic is even worse. Compiling a whole range of scoring systems and diverse opinions into one number is inane and stupid. The user scores aren't even reliable as they are distorted by fanboyism and trolling, as seen with games such as Company of Heroes 2. http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/company-of-heroes-2 That 1.8 is due to Russian gamers upset with the portrayal of the Red Army...even though the Red Army as a whole was depicted very well. It was only certain characters in the story that were douches.

History is the best. It's amazing hearing these legends and myths, and then learning they actually happened. Seeing how the events of the past created the world of today is truly humbling.

Let's get a little grim dark. The last piece ever written by Mozart was a Requiem. A requiem is essentially music for a funeral mass. The piece was commissioned by an anonymous person who showed up to Mozart's apartment masked and cloaked and handed him a pouch of money. He was not given any due date for the completion of the piece and was not told who it would be for. As Mozart began working on the piece, he became extremely sick, fainting several times. At a showing of "The Magic Flute" Mozart fell deathly ill, returned home, and began working on the Requiem up until he died. It remained unfinished and was completed by his understudy, his wife, or rival composer and friend, Antonio Saliari. The Requiem's first performance would be at a memorial to Mozart after his funeral. It's believed that Mozart died of a slow acting poison or unknown disease. Some suspect that Mozart was killed. The identity of the commissioner was never truly discovered and remains a subject of debate to this day. Theories range from a crazed fan who believed that the only person who should write Mozart's Requiem would be Mozart himself. Another culprit is Antonio Saliari, who despite being a friend of Mozart, was one of his biggest rivals. There's also the belief that a member of the Free Masons had him killed, due to Mozart placing masonic imagery in his compositions and operas. Some even will go as far to say that the commissioner was the ghost of his overbearing father. Enjoy some highlights from the Requiem, or the whole thing. Mozart's Requiem in D minor

Sorry for the slack, busy these past few days with family. Lets have what I firmly believe should replace "God save the King/Queen" as the national anthem of the United Kingdom. I Vow to Thee My Country- Gustav Holst

Similar to the other threads around here. This time, for my favorite kind of music. Since it's Christmas Eve, lets commemorate the occasions with a Baroque piece written on this day hundreds of years ago, and makes your typical Christmas song look lame. Correlli's Conceri Grossi No.8 in G minor. Op. 6

I don't know for sure, but I think either one of two extremes will happen. Because our brains are nothing more than biological computers, and our bodies are nothing more than ways to power the brain, as soon as we die our conscience is snuffed out into nothingness. Apart from the memories of people who knew you or things you have done, it will be like you never existed. Or You go to heaven/get reborn/whatever afterlife theory you like the most. I don't see this as a science vs. religion matter, merely what you want to be true vs what is actually true.

He didn't steal anyone's money, that's a wild and baseless claim. Also, if you actually look at both sides of the story you'll find he's not bigoted.

You can be one of those people who refuse to accept that things get political, but that won't change it. When the political factions and media start taking sides, it gets political. Credit card companies have the right to screw over their customers into bankruptcy, but that doesn't mean its the proper and moral thing to do. A&E has every right to fire Phil, yet that doesn't mean it was what they should have done, especially for a first time offense.
-
This was already a political thing. We were discussing whether or not it was fair for A&E to fire this man over the expression of his religion. This is a political matter from the get-go. Especially considering how the left is bashing Phil relentlessly while the right is supporting him fanatically. Regardless, my point was that Phil didn't do anything worse than what many people do on a daily basis, some even do it dishonestly, posing as supporters of the LGBT community while simultaneously perpetuating negative stereotypes. At least Phil is being honest. The people judging him are the same people who tell you to cut down on greenhouse gasses while traveling the world in a private jet.

Lately it seems that the Big 3 console developers have been rather nice to each other. With all of them congratulating each other on major releases, talking about their favorite games on the other consoles etc. Hopefully this will calm the stupid console war bullcrap that's gone on too long. -
Maybe  I left the ending open to interpretation in proper JDS fashion. And thank you! I'm glad to hear I can write stuff haha.
