  1. I'm divided, but it has to be Horizon Zero Dawn for me. It was an absolutely beautiful game, with new concepts and story and ideas in an era of sequels. It was fun, challenging and refreshing. I found myself pausing the game into the camera mode constantly just to be able to look at the machines and zoom in on them and watch them. It's a hard competition with all of these games, but HZD definitely won my vote.
  2. Here are my opinions. Paladins - Self explanatory. Would rely on heavy armor and the use of swords, shields, and greatswords, like knights. Higher defense than the rest of the classes. Ninjas - Stealth who use lightweight weapons including shurekin, bow and arrow, daggers and so on. Rely on critical attacks and most agile of the classes. Samurais - Highest poise of the classes, which counts for counter attacks. Hunters - Barbarians with heavy battle axes and war hammers with animalistic, wild instincts. Highest strength from the rest of the classes. However, I think that Mages and Summoners seem too similar to me. One summons while the other casts, seems too specific, considering the mage can have so much variety of magic. Maybe the Summoner can be a subclass to the Mage class? This would allow to specify the type of magic the user uses, too. Standard Mages with standard offensive magic, Healers with light and support magic, Necromancers with dark magic, and Summoners able to summon creatures to aid them in battle. Highest magic resistance than the rest of the classes. Unless you replace summoners with Beast Tamers of the sorts that tame beasts and are able to call upon them. Just my opinion. I love everything so far, though! I think you have a solid structure for a full on RP!
  3. Vanitas nodded softly. Prepare. For what exactly...? He wasn't sure. None of them were. But he wasn't dead yet. Whatever it was, these Seekers or so, they hadn't killed him off just yet. Whether they were just playing around with him like prey...Vanitas shuddered at the thought. "(Prepare.)" He thought. If they attempted anything tonight, they would have another thing coming. "Be careful." Vanitas said, waving away his Unversed as he turned back to the forge. He had a work's day ahead of him as it was. He needed a drink. Maybe he could take a break later on and grab one by the Tavern. That sounded nice. He already had his own dagger for protection. He could definoitely benefit into sharpening it up for the day. He turned to resume his work at the forge when the loud sound of a thump caught his attention. Vanitas turned, seeing that someone had ran straight into Jynn, practically knocking the two of them down to the ground. Vanitas hurried over, reaching over to help Jynn as he turned to look at Bistro. He had never seen this kid before. What was the hurry? The panic on his expression, was someone after him? "Hey, are you ok?" Vanitas asked, reaching out to help Bistro as well.
  4. Sorry about that! Been busy with college. Should post today

  6. - Helios - Side: Mystras Rebellion - Healer Tents - With Aura, King Alderon, Arthur & Draksis - Helios looked over at Draksis, surprised to see him standing out of all things. The knight was of age yet it seemed he was not ready to kick the bucket just yet. Helios waved his hand slightly to Draksis when he apologized. "Soldiers are men following orders from a higher calling. To do otherwise would be considered treacherous. I accept your apology. I do also apologize for attempting to bite your arm off more than one time." Helios said. Arthur looked over at Draksis, smiling to see that he was alive, but frowned slightly at the mention of Alex. "No." Arthur muttered. Alex was the one to bring him out of his frozen state after the murder of the fey on the battlefield. Injured yet doing his best to help him before himself. Ah, there came in the guilt. "...regardless, now we just have to wait until Lord Raiden returns with the verdict, don't we?" Arthur asked. Helios nodded, looking down. "Lord Raiden and Queen Shiva will meet, and whether it will mean the end of this war, or the declaration of it further, relies on whether Lord Raiden can create peace with the Queen." Helios said, sighing at the end. Thousands of lives relying on whether or not they could get along and change each other's minds. It was...certainly depressing to think about it that way. "All we can do is wait...and hope." Helios looked up, staring at Arthur before smiling. "I also want to apologize for attempting to throw gravy at the princess. I was quite the chore, wasn't I?" Arthur's attention quickly turned to Helios, annoyed. "Tell me about it! Your aim was pretty good, too!" Arthur paused. Visco. He hadn't seen her in so long. She still remained in his mind. Her laughter. Her smile. He was fighting for her too. He had yet to give her the flowers! Helios gave an amused smile as he watched Arthur smile at his thoughts. "Thinking about your girlfriend, aren't you?" "WHY YOU-!"
  7. Vanitas took a deep breath before letting out a loud sigh. Well...so things were going to go this way. Maybe it was for the best. But hey, he wasn't alone in it, and despite feeling terrible for dragging them into this mess out of the fact of his curiosity...it felt nice. Awesome even. Despite the whole 'someone wants me dead' thing. "Thank you." Vanitas said. "For the both of you. I...I really messed up big time. But I'm glad that you're with me." Vanitas smiled. "I agree with the plan. Let's continue as normal as possible. Maybe we can trick the Journal in the end." Vanitas said, looking at the two. "Be careful, and if you need any help, I can have one of my guys go with you." Vanitas said as he stepped to the side slightly, causing the Unversed to fall over comically before scurrying back to his legs. "They hide well in the shadows. If anyone tries to get to me too, they'll chase them out." Vanitas said, sighing in slight relief of the fact that he wasn't going to deal with this situation alone. Alone...that would be pretty scary. He guessed he was just that lucky. "If something bad happens, though...I'm sorry."
  8. - Helios - Side: Mystras Rebellion - Healer Tents - With Aura & King Alderon + Arthur - Helios felt the hair at the back of his neck stand on its end as he heard an all too familiar voice. It was an unintentional sensation as his heart began to race and the grip on the talisman momentarily tightened. His mind knew better; he was no longer in danger from him, they were no longer enemies, and yet his subconscious screamed otherwise. He took a deep breath, looking over as King Alderon lay on his bed. His eyes quickly narrowed at his physique, he was terribly wounded, and yet forced the pain away for the sake of speaking to him. Helios let go of the talisman, turning to Alderon fully. He paused. What could he possibly say? Not too long ago he was in chains, cursing out at this man, threatening him that the moment he stepped out of them he would tear him into pieces for all he had done. Now he was free, and could easily do as he said so many times before. Yet...he would not. He had a lot of time to think. To realize. To learn. Now all of this anger he once had turned into...hope? Determination. Stubbornness, for sure. "...when we left this world to yours, we left to accomplish many wishes. The thrill of discovery of a world long forgotten, to become the pathfinders and trailblazers, even if we were labeled as traitors. We fell in love with your world. Your simplicity, your history, your stubbornness and tenacity of surviving despite the dying world around you. You had no magic, no powers, and yet you rose...You're an interesting species. An interesting mix. You're capable of such beautiful dreams, and such horrible nightmares." Helios reached out, pausing a second as his hand shook for a single moment, before laying a gentle hand on Alderon's. He had learned much. Now it was time for the king to learn too. "I will not lie. I still am angry. Deep inside, I very much am. Angry that things went the way it did. That I can't change it. That we had to go through what we did, and that Arianna died the way she did. But...it's an anger that is covered in grief that cannot be fixed, because changing the past is impossible. Whether it will go away is yet to be seen...but I have long decided that it will not control me as it did before. As for you..." Helios paused. "I cannot forgive you. I understand what you did out of desperation, but what you have done is unforgivable. But that is just me. Your people, however, have yet to give their verdict. Be the king that they need, that they look up to and deserve. Take this chance to rebuild. Maybe by the end, your good deeds will outdo your bad ones...only time will tell, and you have much of that left." "Your majesty!" Helios looked up, seeing Arthur standing by the doorway, smiling to see his king awake, and even better, alive. Helios waved him over. "Hey, he just woke up." Helios said casually. Arthur stepped closer, pausing before bowing down in respect. "I am glad that you are alive, my king." Arthur said, a genuine smile on his face. "Do you require anything? You shouldn't force yourself, your wounds look terrible. I-I mean, not that you look terrible, well, you do, you look like you got hit by a carriage, but that's normal considering you came out of the battlefield, sir!" Arthur said, stuttering over his words in his signature panic. At least, some things don't change as much.
  9. Thank you for creating this RP and being such an awesome host, Mystic. I've loved everything in this, and seeing the characters grow and develop has thrown me into a good emotional roller coaster. I'm so hyped for what's to come next!
  10. - Helios - Side: Mystras Rebellion - Healer Tents - With Aura & Sifrei Mond - "We're getting along just fine. I can tell he means well, so far. The bird agreed, at least." Helios said, before frowning at the thought about the reunion between the two rulers of the Overworld. The queen and lord Raiden would meet, and the result of the meeting could be the difference between a peaceful solution to a bloody end. It was...absolutely inconvenient and stupid. The lives of thousands of loyal soldiers and citizens alike relied on the emotions and decisions of mortals. Not that there was anything they could possibly do about it. Leaders were leaders by right, and they looked up to them for guidance and protection. Yet, the emotional stubbornness of the queen and the rules that have been set by her father versus the insistence of new ideas and acceptance of Raiden, the meeting could go either way. "It sucks." Helios finally said, sighing as he looked over at Aura. He gently reached out, resting his hand on her back and gently rubbing her back reassuringly. "But there's not much we can do about it. All we can do is hope, pray, wait...and see what comes out of it." Helios smiled softly at Aura. "Let's have some faith and hope for the best." Helios couldn't tell if he was telling that to Aura, or to himself, his hand moving to the necklace as he held it gently. This had already taken so many lives over something that could have been avoided, settled without any bloodshed or death. Yet it happened, and for all they knew, it would happen again and again until one side was left...if there was anyone left in the end at all.
  11. Vanitas: Man Journals are mean aren't they? Vincent: Yeah like, I asked mine something and it only replied with sass- Vanitas, who has been trying to get his Journal to talk back for the past years of his life: Yours did what now
  12. I didn't know we had a bar in Andromeda
  13. Vanitas looked up at Jynn, deciding that he wanted to be part of the situation, despite James and him trying to be all sneaky about it. Clearly didn't work as it should have. The Unversed at Vanitas' feet only seemed to grip him tighter as he grabbed Jynn's arm and pulled him over to the conversation. "Jynn...I am going to warn you right now, James and I got ourselves into some...pretty serious stuff with the Journals. Well...I did and I ended up dragging James along for the ride..." Vanitas said, smiling weakly. If Jynn wanted to know, Vanitas wouldn't waist the chance. If something terrible were to happen, at least someone besides himself and James would know something was wrong. Besides, there is strength in numbers. "So, I wanted to check out some history of the Journals, like where they come from or who made them, right? So I went to the library and James and I began to look for information and..." Vanitas paused, gulping. "We found some pretty disturbing stuff. About other people who had discovered something odd about the Journals as well. About seeing these things that they call Seekers. Now it's day two and James' Journal is asking him to kill me and my Journal is completely blank!" Vanitas said, showing Jynn James' Journal entry all while trying to keep himself from panicking. Everything went downhill so fast...even while trying to keep himself composed, the worry was still there. "So yeah...we have that dilemma...now I'm just figuring out if we should tell everyone or if I should fake my own death...haha."
  14. - Helios - Side: Mystras Rebellion - Healer Tents - With Aura & Sifrei Mond - Helios looked down, smiling softly as Aura woke up. "Yeah, it's me." Helios said. He frowned momentarily, but chuckled right back. "I was with the Queen, yes. I entered into battle with her army, but...no matter how much she may offer me a new life, a second chance, I can't turn my back on the reality of the situation. The barrier is causing your world to die, and turning a blind eye to it for the sake of one's own desires is selfish. I saw a chance, and I have taken it, and decided that I want to risk my one life in order to help save such a beautiful world and its people, that has so much more to give, despite whatever the Queen has to say. Earth is still young. There is still much more to find and discover. Humanity deserves a second chance. " Helios said. He gently nudged her. "Besides, you're my friend, aren't you? I don't plan on leaving you behind. Not now, not ever. At least, until you get over your fear of flying." Helios added playfully. Auron was gone, but he would do all to make sure that Aura made it out to the end of it. "Rest a bit longer if you need to. Everyone is resting and recovering at the moment. Do you need anything? Sifrei and I were just getting to know each other." - Arthur - Side: Mystras Rebellion - Healer Tents - Arthur sat in a corner, pulling his knees against his chest, making himself small as he held his diary, writing down in it the words he couldn't tell anyone else. He wrote everything he remembered down, but was had trouble when it came to the part where he was trapped by the Wendigo Fey. He...couldn't clearly remember what happened in there. He almost lost consciousness, and remembered a sad memory from long ago. After that he...activated something. More than just the lightning of his sword. It felt different from that. Familiar even. "(But what was that?)" Arthur pursed his lips, looking down at his hands. Could he even summon it again? Or was it just something out of luck? No...something was odd. "(I need to remember more.)"
  15. It's truly beautiful, isn't it? Especially the machines!
  16. As long as the person doesn't op on their knowledge or power, a co-host should be helpful if you need one. I could help out, if you want.
  17. Vanitas blinked a few times as he stared at the page. Kill Vanitas. Whatever the Journals were, or whoever was in charge of them, now wanted him dead, and James out of all people was the assigned hitman...well, shit. Vanitas dropped the hammer from his hand, the heavy tool hitting the ground with a defining thud. Kill Vanitas. Kill Vanitas. Kill Vanitas. It finally sunk in after rereading it for the 6th time. "Holy shit." Vanitas whispered, narrowing his eyes as he grabbed the Journal. It was clear as day. "(That actually explains-!)" He thought, shivers suddenly running down his spine. It was connected to his journal. "(It's definitely them.)" He thought. He looked up at James, who already had tears running down his face. Vanitas you idiot, you really messed up this time. Vanitas stepped forward, quickly getting a hold of James' shoulders. "James, listen to me. No one is going to get you or hurt you. I was the one who dragged you into this mess, and over my dead body would I let you pay for my mistake." Vanitas hissed. Yes, he wanted to know more of the journal. He was willing to take the risk for such knowledge. But not if it involved other people! He was ready to take on the consequences... without realizing that he had ended up dragging James right into the middle. "My Journal is blank, James. It has no entry, and it has erased every single entry it ever had before. It's empty. Speaking out the obvious, it means that this is connected. Something is in charge of the Journals, and did not liked that we began to sniff stuff out." Vanitas bit his bottom lip, what could they do? They were just mortal beings able to do...nothing against...what? A god? Who knew. They wanted him dead. He could always become a martyr and kill himself. That should fix the problem and return everyone back to a relatively normal life that they once lived. Or...they could fight back. "They want me dead...very well." Vanitas said, looking at James. "We have two options now. Either we go through with it and I die...or we fight back. I mean, I think we can fake my own death. Can we even trick them? They know everything we've done so far as it is. But if they think that you went through with it, even when I survive, they should end up leaving you alone and move on to the next person. Our other option is to hit them where it hurts, and tell everyone in this town the information we found." Vanitas paused, gently letting go of James. "I already dragged you into this mess, I don't want to drag you further in. But the fact that our Journals have taken such a drastic turn only after what we found out should give us enough probability. Best case scenario, they consider our findings, and whatever is messing with us is forced to either leave us alone or push further. Worst case scenario...they think I'm crazy and will kill me because that's what your Journal insists on what it has to happen." He sighed. By this point the Unversed had come out of hiding to curl themselves up against Vanitas' legs. "I'm so sorry, James. I didn't think this would...go this far."
  18. May whoever stole your phone step on a thousand Legos barefoot
  19. I'll be sitting on the porch in costume and passing out candy
  20. Vanitas looked up to see James. He quickly smiled and waved at him. "Morning, James! Finally out of the library. Need something fixed?" Vanitas asked. However as James approached, Vanitas began to notice the change from yesterday. His head was low, a frown on his face as the sense of anxiety bore on his shoulders and overall presence. His tone was serious, too, with a hint of fear. Did something happen? "Hey, sure. Give me a moment." Vanitas said as he removed his gloves and tossed them to the side, smiling at Jynn. "I'll see you around, Jynn. You too, Mel. Be careful the both of you out there." Vanitas said, shaking Jynn's hand before turning to James, pulling him aside a bit. "Hey, what's up? Did something happen? Was it a weird creature? Jynn told me he and Mel encountered some dangerous creatures last night." He paused, looking at Jynn. "Or...is it about the Journal?"
  21. Vanitas narrowed his eyes. "They spoke?" He asked. He had never heard of anything so strange before, from anyone. The most he could think about would be from the books on witchcraft and myths that spoke of werewolves and that kind of stuff. But they couldn't possibly be real...could they? "I'm glad that you two made it out unscathed. Maybe you should report them to the sheriff. That way he could send some of his guys or hunters to check around the area and see if they can find them." Vanitas said, sighing a bit as he strapped on an apron and gloves. There was already melted metal from last night, he would go ahead and use that. He perked his head up at the suggestion that it was the Journal that could have been involved, sending unsuspecting chills down Vanitas' spine. "(Could my meddling have been involved?)" Vanitas thought, quickly shaking his head as he strapped on the metal face protector. "The Journal, huh? Those things are pretty curious, aren't they? In fact, I've been starting to search around the library along with James to see if we could uncover anything involving the Journal. We found some stuff in some books but...nothing we can prove, you know? Could just be random poetry with no relation whatsoever." Vanitas shrugged, pulling out a pre-made mold with Mel's name carved on it. He opened the door to the fire, reaching in with metal pincers and pulling out a glowing container of molten metal. He gently poured the molten metal into the mold. Once it was full, he used the pincers to pick up the mold and dip it into the bucket of water, steam hissing up into the air the moment it touched it. "Actually, I think my snooping around trying to find stuff out about the Journal made mine angry at me. It didn't gave me an entry today, and it erased all of my previous entries. Then again, if it actually talked back to me maybe I wouldn't have to struggle so much to find stuff out about it." Vanitas spoke, shrugging as he pulled the mold back out. Once it was cooled down enough, Vanitas used a hammer and blade to hammer the mold apart and back in half. The block fell into two, releasing the molded horseshoe out. He got the mold pieces away before picking up the horseshoe with the pincers and shoving it into the fire for a few moments. He hummed as he pulled the horseshoe back and walked over to the anvil, where he began to hammer the horseshoe into a smoother state. He created a few standard holes and carved into it. He cooled it in the water one more time before pulling it back out and using a metal nail to smooth out the last rough edges. He removed his mask and picked up a few nails from one of the many containers, along with his hammer and walked over towards Mel. "Alright, Mel. I'll make it as quick as possible." Vanitas hummed, holding the nails with his teeth before taking a hold of Mel's hoof, pulling it up as he place the horseshoe into position. He quickly hammered the horseshoe on Mel's hoof, careful to not hurt Mel as he did. Once he was done, he let go of Mel and stepped away with his hammer, smiling. "There we go. How does it feel, buddy?" Vanitas asked as he pulled away, getting the hammer back on the nearest surface. "You're all ready to go, buddy. Standard 5 silver coins, if you'd please." Vanitas said. "Really though, you should tell the Sheriff or something. Maybe other people have seen them too."
  22. Vanitas set up some of the requests to fix for the day, summoning up his Unversed to help out. "Hey, help me out with the fire, would you?" Vanitas asked one of them. The Unversed hurried over, beginning to jump up and down on the bellow to keep the fire going strong as the other two sorted the stuff in the box. At the sound of a new voice, two of the Unversed hid in the box, as the third one kept jumping while hiding behind the giant forge. Vanitas perked up at the mention of his name, smiling as he saw James and Mel. "Hey, Jynn! Morning!" Vanitas said, stepping away from the fire as he walked up to him. He cooed at Mel. "Good morning to you too, Mel." Vanitas said. His eyes quickly scanned Mel, specifically the legs. It didn't take long to notice a single horseshoe missing from its hoof. "It looks like Mel turned into a Cinderella. What kind of trouble were you causing to have that come off?" Vanitas chuckled, looking up at Jynn. "I'm guessing you need a quick horseshoe for Mel here. I already have Mel's size on record, I should be able to fix one right up. Need anything else today?" Vanitas asked cheerfully. "The old man is taking the afternoon shift today, so if you have any messages for him I'll have to write them down for him later on."
  23. Vanitas woke up just before the sun rose to another day, rubbing his eyes as he groaned. He couldn't remember his dreams, not as well as he wished he could. The one thing he could never forget however, were those brilliant blue eyes. They filled him with...he could barely describe it. Was it hate? Or yearning? Or sadness? Hell if he knew. He yawned, quickly getting up and taking a quick shower before dressing up for a day's work. If he began early, he could get off early. "Well, dear oh Journal of mine, what do I have to do today?" Vanitas asked, opening up the Journal...only to find it empty. "...huh?" He looked at the Journal, flipping it around to make sure that he was holding the right one, before flipping through the pages. Not a single entry. They were all just...gone. "That's...odd." Vanitas said, narrowing his eyes. This was his Journal. He knew it was. There was none other like it in this household. Besides, the feeling he felt towards it was the same. It was just...empty. He closed it, looking at the cover curiously. "So...I'm taking that as a sign that you're angry at me?" Vanitas asked. Of course, the Journal didn't answer. He shrugged. "Fine fine. Free day for me I guess. This relationship would be easier if you'd answer my questions, though." Vanitas hummed, getting the Journal away to the safety of his vest pocket. He ate a light breakfast before heading straight down to the forge, beginning to light up the fire and heat it real nice for another day's work.
