Kotaku conducted an interview with Final Fantasy XV's co-director Hajime Tabata. During the interview, he mentioned the potential fate of Square Enix's console development if FFXV bombs... While his opinion isn't indicative of Square Enix in general, it is worrying that Sakaguchi and other Square Enix employees might give up on console development if FFXV fails. I pray that this doesn't happen, but it very well could. Hopefully Kingdom Hearts survives the changes that might occur at Square Enix. Actually, according to VGchartz, the Wii U version sold less than the 360 and PS3 versions. I'm guessing they're not putting the game on 3DS because they would have to completely redesign the game, and the Wii U because of the poor sales of Revelations and the cost of adding gamepad functionality. The 3DS version probably only sold so well because it was the only version available. I think if most people had the choice they would prefer to play RE on consoles, not handhelds. If a 3DS version launched beside the console versions I doubt it would sell very well.

Why can't Square Enix do crowd funding for the localisation of their lesser known JRPGs? Set a $500,000 goal (or however much it would cost to translate). And have lower goals which are just merchandise or something.

I agree with having more side missions. Maybe Yen Sid or Merlin could give out optional missions to improve Sora's magical abilities, or the FF characters in Radiant Garden could give Sora missions as part of the Restoration Committee.

I don't think they will announce FFXII HD yet. With XV and Type-0 on the horizon, I don't think they will bother announcing another console HD remaster. They might announce it next year after Type-0 releases (to make the wait for XV less painful...). A 3DS remake seems likely. They probably have something else planned for 3DS other than Bravely Second and Final Fantasy Explorers.

Only one I support is merging "Forum Games" and "Random". Video Games needs to stay a separate section. I was annoyed when the Pokemon and Final Fantasy subsections were removed, so getting rid of the Video Games section would be even worse imo.

I'm interested in Bloodborne. Hopefully they announce something interesting. Guerrilla Games open-world RPG, while not a Japanese game, might be announced.

Even though Tokyo Game Show isn't until the 18th of September, Sony are broadcasting their TGS conference tomorrow (1st of September).. Hopefully we get some new game announcements from Sony, especially of the JRPG variety. Hopefully the NEW 3DS only gets Wii ports as exclusives. I don't mind that, since there are many ways to play Wii games.

A PC release is almost guaranteed, but I think it will be a similar situation to Ryse and Dead Rising 3 (no PS4 release). Hopefully I am wrong, but I doubt it will come to PS4 anytime soon.

I'll probably just import the European version. I doubt we'll get anything this awesome. For X and Y, all we got was a Pokeball that you can store 3DS games in.

well.. if you were going to buy the game anyway, it's no extra money. But I guess if you buy from retailers its $10 more expensive than online stores, so the pants end up costing about that much.sry. I didn't think about the consequences of my actions.
